 Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Britain Name: Sandriver (Sand-river) for his coloring and pretty eyes. Nicknames: Sandri, sometimes River. Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Middle adult Hatch Date: 12-13, dead of winter. Type: Wildtype Task: Elite - Sergeant Personality: Serious, even-tempered, and certain. Sandri doesn’t speak up unless he’s 90% certain he’s right. While his mannerisms are a little stiff and abrupt, he’s very forward-thinking and decisive. He’s definitely no prude, and has a weakness for the female Sentinels that’s gotten into trouble a time or two. He’s always got his eyes open, if you know what I mean. Still, he’s been too concerned with his duties to actually choose a mate…he’s just in the market. He takes great pride in his position as an Elite, and even through his flirting he’ll do whatever it takes to do the Brigadier proud. History: Sandri started out as a fierce and determined little fledgling. From here he became a Ranger, and excelled enough to catch the attention of the higher-ups. Nothing’s changed. He’s good at his job, brave, loyal, and true- it’s the standard he’s forced himself to his entire life. Territory: Near the heart of the Wood, he’s claimed an area that overlaps a little with some of his friends in the Elites. They look out for each other’s areas when one of them is out on assignment. Mate: None…at the moment. Companions: Yes Certificate:

Part II – Companions
Name: Behaba Species: Lepus Age: Adult Speech Ability: 5 (but clipped and short of words) Skill: Ground-maneuvers and speed. Behaba (or Baba, if Sandri's feeling particularly affectionate) is devoutly loyal and completely steadfast under pressure- a perfect companion for an Elite. Though she is as serious as her Sentinel, she can also be a little motherly, and Sandri tolerates her huffy bullying with resigned amusement.

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Annchen Name: Fernfeather Nicknames: Fern Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Middle aged Hatch Date: June 20 Type: Wildtype Task: Elite - Corporal Personality: Fern might come across as cold, or even mean and hostile, but she has a warm personality once you manage to crack through her professional shell. If you get that far at all... She is very aware of what is proper and what is not, and has a strong sense of responsibility. In her years of service she has been forced to learn which rules can (and should) be broken and which rules can not.
If you can coax her to sing she has a nice singing voice, but not many outside the family knows that. She is the glue that holds her team together and in a crisis she's most likely the one keeping calm and giving orders.
History: She once was a bright eyed, eager young lass, but she's come a long way since then. There was never any doubt that Fernfeather would chose an active task after graduation. Most of her family members were hunters, scouts or elites and she has worked her way to the top starting out as a hunter. If someone implies that she's an elite because of her uncle, or mother or distant cousin they will be sorry.
Her mate is a gatherer and they have had a long loving relationship and have raised several chicks together. They tried to share a territory for a brief time when their chicks were young, but soon realised that they were both happier with their own private space. It works really well, and when they do spend time together they have a good time, but her mate might find a few Mus missing after her visit...
Birch, the bard is her son and was raised mostly by Fern and her mate. Despite his unconventional choice of task she loves him dearly and wouldn't want him to change into something he's not. There are others that can carry on the family tradition after all.
Territory: Deep Woods, close to some of the other elites. Frequently out on missions with her team. Mate: Yes Companions: Yes Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Slander Name: Wildcraft Nicknames: Wild, Crafty Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Middle-aged Hatch Date: 17/07/200? Type: Wildtype Task: Elite - Corporal Personality: Wildcraft has earned a reputation for two things - his remarkable intelligence and strategic ability, and his unwavering belief in the supremacy of the Wildtype and Deep Woods bloodlines.
His intelligence was apparent from an early age, and his parents cultivated that resource by ensuring that he was provided with the best of Teachers. While he is aware of his superior intellect, Wildcraft is not vain or boastful - in fact, he takes great care to speak at a level appropriate to those around him without being condescending. His intelligence is simply a part of who he is, as much as his proud Wildtype heritage.
While the Elite will readily confess his opinions on the supremacy of the Wildtypes and Deep Woods, he is not a rampant bigot. It's just the way things are - there's a reason that the ranks of the Elites are full of naturally-brown feathers, after all. And he will admit that there are some Shadows, Mists, Ghosts, and even some Aberrants who are qualified to join the Elites, but he'll also point out that those individuals are few and far between. Everyone must live up to the same standards, he'll say, and it's not an unfair bias on his part if so few of the other types manage to make the cut.
History: Coming from a long line of successful Elites, Wildcraft is the first-hatched son of Stormcraft and Wildwood. He can trace his ancestry back through many generations, to times before the Great Clan Wars, and is extremely proud of the military prowess of his ancestors. If he were the boastful type he'd certainly have a lot of brag about, but fortunately Wildcraft is a bird of action.
His promotion into the Elites and subsequent rise through the ranks was nothing short of meteoric, despite his relatively unimpressive size and physical prowess. Recruited soon after graduation, Wildcraft was barely given enough time to become comfortable in his chosen profession (Scout) before he was ushered into the ranks of the Elites and given his first assignments. He made a name for himself within a season, making tactical decisions that astounded his superiors with both their effectiveness and their deceptive simplicity. It was no surprise when he was promoted to Corporal, and some Sentinels whisper that the only reason he hasn't been given the nod to move up to the rank of Sergeant is because he's remarkably good at picking out promising new Elites - his teams have the highest rate of promotion, talons-down.
It was a bit of a surprise when he and Bristletuft were mated, however, as the large Wildtype female doesn't exactly seem like she'd be his type. She dwarfs him, and in a one-on-one physical contest she could easily flatten her own mate. Wildcraft's devotion to his mate is complete; he dotes upon her and would happily give his life for her. The only thing he holds in higher esteem is his duty to the Clan, and the Brigadier.
Territory: Wildcraft and Bristletuft share a territory that is large enough for ten Sentinels, protecting the prime space through the combined virtues of strength (hers) and rank (his). It's a good thing they share a large territory, as they generally inhabit separate sections of it and come together only on occasion.
Mate: Bristletuft Companions: No. Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Shikai-chan Name: Moonstride Nicknames: Moon Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Middle-aged Hatch Date: 21/12/200? Type: Twilight Task: Elite - Private Personality: Moonstride’s cold and unyielding personality can be quite intimidating when approached. Although she is no bigger than the usual Sentinel, she carries herself with a strong puff of the chest and glares down with icy blue daggers. Her first and foremost thought on her mind centers around her task as an Elite. She takes her job almost too seriously, putting success over any personal disagreements against the task whether it’s personal, emotional, or anything else. She sees anything hindering her success as a threat and usually proceeds to eliminate the threat using any means necessary. She has no sympathy to those unfortunate souls who manage to impede her from task. Her speech is very formal and calm, never voicing her opinions unless it is asked for or necessary. In a casual setting, she still seems cold and unyielding but her dry sarcasm has more room to shine. By first-impressions, her actions are formal, respectful, and considerate. However, those who know her better face the side of her that tends to be quite witty and very unexpected if not entirely blunt. History: Moonstride’s father was a ranger and not often seen. Her mother had a naturally weak body and was in far too poor of a condition to care for her properly. As a result, after a few months, she was taken away as a young and into the care of the minders. Resisting any new parental connections, she grows with very little intimate connections; instead, she develops a strong sense of obligation and connection to the society of sentinels as a whole. Being a rather independent early on in life, she grows increasingly independent, never depending on others, and focuses on finding a place where her presence would benefit the society beyond the norm. After several years as a Scout, her intense workaholic habits finally earned her a spot as an Elite. Territory: On the border of the deep woods is Moonstride’s dark and fairly small territory barely touching any . The only thing she needed was her large cozy tree and the smaller thorn tree that grows slightly lower than the rest in her territory where her Lani makes his living. Mate: None Companions: Yes Certificate:

Part II – Companions
Name: Rave Species: Lani Age: Adult Speech Ability: 1 Intelligence: 5 Skill: Rave is a highly aggressive and territorial but does listen to Moonstride extremely well. He is quite clever and has the ability to choose between two options (although usually no more that that) and understand the best course of action. He is often used as a watcher, darting around to keep his eye out while Moonstride concentrates on her tasks. In confrontation, he will usually dart down first and aim to blind the opponent before Moonstride carries through her attack. In these situations, he uses his speed and accuracy to bewilder the opponent and usually gets a few good pecks in.

 Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Chikagi Name: Runewing Nicknames: Rune Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Old enough to know better (Elder) Type: Wildtype Task: Mystic/Teacher Personality: Rune is an ornery, old owl with a short fuse. She has some rules: Don’t call her fat, she will hurt you. Don’t throw things at her, she will hurt you. Don’t make her mad. She will hurt you. Very simple, follow them. She may come off as cold, but she deeply cares for those that are close to her. History: A very old mystic who has mastered her Will over the years, she teaches the fledglings when it is time for them to develop their own skills. Though Rune has never been a very caring or mentor-like Sentinel, it has been proven time and again that she has an inept eye for talent. Through her, many Sentinel have unlocked their potential skill of molding their Will; and they’ll all tell you it wasn’t easy or fun. Territory: Rune lives in a large tree that had been struck by lightning in a small meadow. It stands alone and separate in this small meadow for a few yards, giving it a slightly detached and spooky feel. The tree is half dead, with persistent life clinging to its gnarled branches. Inscriptions are carved into the bark and an assortment of objects hang from the limbs of the tree, clanking and whispering whenever the wind blows. Mate: None Companions: Yes Certificate: Rune is a very large owl, in fact, she’s enormous compared to most Sentinels.

Part II – Companions
Name: Syzygy ‘Syz” Species: Pica Age: Young Speech Ability: 5 Skill: Syz is very crafty and great for figuring out how to get into contraptions and outsmarting them. He’ll eat nearly anything thrown his way, so he doubles as a garbage disposal. Syz can be used as a gather, messenger, scout, and a treasure hunter- anything that shines, sparkles or he finds interesting he’ll bring back to Rune as loot. Rune found him when he was very young and raised him herself, he’s an annoying pain sometimes, but she loves him like a chick she never had.
