He threw the knife at her. Cutting her only on the cheek. "I doubt that. If I had it my way, I would be drinking your blood out of a wine glass by now." He looked at her. What a bad mission he had been sent on. "The only reason I am here is because you hold a seat in the parliament. And the Roses sent me here to protect you."

She glared at him, putting her finger to the cut across her cheek. "Lucky me..." Devi licked her finger, sitting down on the couch eyeing Jusaku.

"Now, will you be a good little girl?" Jusaku looked outside. Seeing the rain was getting worse. Oddly, he saw what looked like a carriage was coming to the castle. "I suggest you do what I say, if you want to live of course."

Devi muttered under her breath, glareing at Jusaku as she pouted. "What are you looking at?...."

He looked at her, giving her a serious look. "You weren't expecting anyone else, where you?" He untied his sword from his scarfcape.

"I wasnt expecting you, why would I be expecting anyone else?" Devi stood up. "Whats going on?" her voice slightly afraid.

"I am not sure either, but get ready." He saw that approaching the door was a cloaked figure. He was up to the door, holding up his sword, ready to strike.

Devi picked up her large jeweled dagger from the mantel, holding it tightly. She stood back from him, waiting in high anticipation.

The door opened. The cloaked figure knew they were waiting. Jusaku swung his sword, but the figure grabbed onto it. Jusaku kick him squarely in the chest. The figure flew back. Jusaku lost grip of his sword as the figure took it with him. Jusaku started chanting softly. "Demon art! Sloth!" A dark cloud shot out of his hand, immobilizing the figure.

Devi inched closer slowly. "Jusaku are you ok?" She whispered, eyeing first him, then the figure.

"I am fine," Jusaku said, he walked over to the figure and took his sword back, the figure got its movement back and tackled him to the ground, he tryed to fight it off. "Devi, help!" He yelled he figure began to claw him.

"Stay still!" Devi yelled, holding her dagger tightly, aiming it toward the figure until she got a clear shot. She threw her dagger straight into the figures side, wounding it deeply but not enough to kill. She snapped her fingers, makeing candles all around the room light to cast a glow on the scene, includeing a chandalier above them.

Jusaku kicked the figure off of them. He cut it across the chest, the cloak fell off, and revealed the twisted horns and reptilalan skin.
"What kind of demon are you?" Jusaku said, disgusted at the figures true form.

Devi pulled her dagger from its side, cleaning the blueish blood from the blade with the figures cloak. "Get rid of him Jusaku. We have work to do."
