Like Homicidal Fangirl said, there weren't any "West Side Story" shows in SoCal. My band did a "Southern Anthems" show; Georgia on my Mind, The Devil Went Down to Georgia [[<3]], and Dixie America.

Homicidal Fangirl No "West Side Story" 'round SoCal. However, I must've seen/heard of at least five different bands doing something "James Bond" or "007" themed. Heh, i'm in a SoCal band. And there weren't any West Side Story [thank goodness] We were one of the obnoxious 007 shows. xD

Dude, everyone did West Side Story. I was about to beat the next band who did it to death with my clarinet. XD
We held a band festival and 3 bands did Jungle Boogie...who knew it was such a popular song? ._.
@Keizer: I love Queen, what songs did you do?

This year my band did a pirate theme, but it wasn't Pirates of the Caribbean it was some original music, but it wasn't that great. other shows themes were Western, Cirque Du Soleil (sorry if i spelt that wrong) La Nouba, and Pearl Harbor.

My school generally does Key Poulan music shows. It's pretty cool because we always know that we are the only ones who compete with that spacific show in the state. I think it would be kind of cool to do a show based on songs though. It would probably be lots of fun.

We had a weird show this year. .____. It was called "In Times of Change..." Because we got a new band director and stuff. We got some original stuff by Phillip Glass. And we played a really pretty peice called October by him. If you go to his website you can hear to concert version. We got his adapted for marching. xD; Our director used new style marching that wasn't really traditional and we got docked some points at PRE-UIL because one older gumpy judge didn't like our style. Everyone was all " DD: WTC?! "
I have no idea what they have planned for next year. All I know is that I think they're writing all the music themselves. Me and my boyfriend got a sneak peak of a Euphonium solo they might put in. =D

I'll repeat for the sake of repeating that so-Cal didn't see any West Side Story shows.
Our own show was "Water" ... original music etc. And it ... well, sucked.
There were some cool themes, though. A video game show ... A superhero show ... one titles "TIME" done back a 5A band ... sooo amazing.
