hmm I agree on the "too many items" and being overwhelming if you're not on everyday. I get a half hour to an hour to spend on gaia during the day and if I'm not tired at night I get up out of bed and see what's going on so it's no big deal for me. Some of the items are pointless like the speech bubbles. That's my opinion.
I do like the plushies though. I wish they'd come up with a better cow -_- That thing is well...ugly. I LOVE COWS and that's a disgrace to my beloved invisible rainbow cow party ;p

I think the items were all just some past ideas that they never released.
So all at once, they released them.
(Which probably wasn't the best idea x.x)
But I wouldn't expect this to happen often.
It won't, most likely.

Well almost all of these if not all werei tems in petitions. Then there was this really big petition about how gaia doesn't listen to our ideas. They probably wanted to tame the crowd, made all the items, and then poof! Onto the market.

 i hate large updates...i love them, but i hate them
before the update, i was at about 30+% to my D-Tail...with the update, people DUMPED their letters in the MP causing MAJOR deflation!
and, silly me, i spend all my gold on the AWSOME (but hateful) new items, and miss out on a GREAT opportunity to stock up and make my hoards bigger...
sure, i could sold stuff, but most MCs and rare items delfated as well...
SO that's my rant about the new items

Industrial_Echo Some of the items are pointless like the speech bubbles. That's my opinion.
But clearly people like them otherwise you wouldn't be seeing them equipped. I like the big updates as there's usually something that I enjoy out of it. They create so many different items to cater to everyone, not just a small group. 3nodding I rather liked this update. Several things I really liked. <3
