A grand number of swear words were spinning through the Umbreon's mind as he realized that his second attack in a row had, of course, missed. He was too busy swearing to himself to notice Aeon's swift approach, and by the time he noticed it was too late. With a last oh s**t! thought, the Umbreon braced himself for impact. With a dull thud the dark-type skidded backwards several feet, though he had prepared himself. With a snarl, he stood up on his hind leg for a split second before slamming his forepaws onto the grass as hard as he could, sending several dark energy-filled shockwaves rumbling through the ground.

Aeon's eyes widen at the familar but unexpected attack; the only thing he could do was brace himself.....and hope that the attack didn't send him flying into his trainer a third time.
Skidding across the soft earth, and tearing up a huge pitch straight down the middle of the field, as the attack made contact, Aeon stood still for a few seconds to let the burning sensation in his paws and side fade before standing at a battle ready position again.
Starting at a trot and then racing forwards into a full-blown run, the electric made a move as to strike with another quick attack only to jump away at the last second as a beam of amber light shot forwards from his mouth. It had been charging as the pokemon had started to pull a fake-out of sorts.....but if it worked against Ryou's abilities, who knew?

Ryou growled as he began charging another hyper beam, assuming Aeon was going to try to hit him with another quick attack. At the same time the Raichu jumped and launched his attack, a rather surprised dark-type had already fired his own amber beam. Oh dear.
The surges of energy collided in midair, creating a supercharged ball of energy, a ticking time-bomb that could explode at an--
KABOOM.
The force of the explosion sent Ryou shooting backwards into one of the side walls. He growled with his ears pinned back, hoisting himself up and stepping back onto the field.

The resulting shockwave had sent Aeon flying straight towards his side of the field, resulting in a roll as he hit the ground. Tumbling a few feet and stopping just short of the stadium edge, he laid still for a few seconds before stumbling onto his hind legs with grass and dirt clinging to his fur.
Growling and wiping a paw across his mouth, Aeon got down on all fours before racing towards the other; just like before, Aeon jumped back just before physical contact was made as his fists began to glow that blue-green color. A shockwave rippled from where Aeon hit the ground, creating another hole near where the "time bomb" had gone off.
Jen did a mental faceslap as the pokemon ran around without any commands. Why were they even here if the pokemon were just going to throw attacks without a verbal command?

The Umbreon was wary of Aeon's feigned attacks by now; his slower speed tipped the dark-type off, and ideas quickly sped through his mind. He could--
"Dark pulse!" Kazuki called to the startled dark-type; unlike his pokemon, Zuki didn't realize Aeon was doing anything other than a quick attack until his fists began to glow blue-green.
It was too late, however, as Ryou had began charging his own attack. With a low growl, he slammed his forepaws onto the field, sending ripples of dark energy surging towards his opponent. The two shockwaves met, collided, and continued without hesitation; Ryou didn't notice the giga impact until it was too late, and the shock sent him flying backwards and he landed, rolling.

Thrown for a fourth time in a row, and not happy about it one bit, Aeon automaticly raced forward as soon as he came to a stop on the ground. Electricity began to charge as his target came closer and closer.
"AEON! STOP!" The shout was usless though, nothing could stop the pokemon in his pursuit...especially with the end of the battle so near.
Jumping, Aeon let loose the barrage of blue lightning with a loud cry of rage not careing where the electricity hit....or who it hit for that matter.
"HOLY SNAP!" Jen just barely managed to jump away as a lightning bolt slammed near where she was recently standing. The discharge...unfortunately, sent the pokegear and phone strapped to her wrist and belt on the fritz. That was seriously NOT cool.......

With a surprised yelp, the short trainer jumped and hid behind the nearest large object he could find to avoid the bolts of electricity.
A thunderbolt surged past Ryou and into the ground, scorching his side and sending him flying off to the side a few feet away. He rolled over and growled, gritting his teeth before struggling to stand. He knew it would be over soon, and that this would probably be his last chance to get a good attack in. He began charging his attack once more; his trainer was hiding, he knew, but he didn't need his aid at the moment anyway. He locked onto Aeon's energy signal, noticing he wasn't moving much if at all. As soon as Aeon landed, Ryou aimed and loosed his final hyper beam, though after he shot it he didn't pay attention to where the amber light surged, or whether it hit his target or not. He was concentrating more on not falling over because of his legs that refused to stop wobbling.

The Hyper beam hit it's mark, sending the ego-inflated pokemon into the ground. Aeon rasped painfully as the light faded, leaving a burn mark on his stomach. He laided there as exhaustion got to him; as he was falling into slumber, the touch of his trainer caused him to open his eyes and stare.
Jen was crouching at his side, the faint yell of the ref annoucing the end of the battle. She had a faint smile which lifted some of the worry off of Aeon; "Hey, ya win some, ya loose some. No one is ultimate in their battle standings. Even the elite four loose." Unhooking the pokeball, she recalled the tired pokemon before standing and brushing off the dirt clinging to her knees.
