Shauna didn't mind the moon, in fact the moon was the only reason she hadn't started freaking out like she would if she truly were alone somewhere like this. Why did no one understand her severe fear for being alone? Shauna was not a fox spirit! She was just a normal girl who happened to have furry footpaws, a tail, ears and a pawprint tattoo! The fox growled a little. Why wasn't the moon helping her?

Her eyes narrowed as she looked up at the moon, glaring as it began to speak. It wasn't happy with her, was it? Well, good! Shauna wasn't happy either! Maybe if she made the moon unhappy enough it'd tell her how to go home!

Naturally plans like this have to backfire.

The fox's amber eyes widened at the sight above her; the moon was not pleased. She couldn't leave? No! That was not an option! Shauna got back up on four paws and growled darkly, her fur bristling again as she glared up at the darkened moon. "You can't do that! I have a family and friends and a life to go back to! Now TELL ME HOW TO GET HOME!" Obviously this particular 'fox spirit' was not in the mood for games. She didn't like it here and she refused to spend another moment where she didn't like to be.

Taken aback by the sudden outburst from the so-called friendly fox spirit, the Moon reared itself back, anger splashed across its face. I don't want to be your friend anymore! it cried, and in an instant, shut itself off.

The desert, along with Shauna, was plunged into total darkness. Just like before, there was no wind to flutter the sand around Shauna's tiny, ethreal paws, and not a noise to soothe--or frighten--her. Maybe if she tried talking nicer...

The fox gasped when the light disappeared, her temper immediately died down and was replaced with fright. Oh no! Shauna whimpered and looked around, pacing in a circle for a moment. What had she done? Now she'd never get home, would she? But...but...the moon was being so mean! She was tired, dangit! She wanted to go home! It was lonely here!

Shauna looked up at the sky, frowning deeply. She still shouldn't have gone off on it like that. "Mister Moon?" The fox called out, sitting back down and sighing. "I'm...sorry I got mad...it's just...I really want to go home." Shauna whimpered. "Is there any way I can do that? Is there anything I can do to get my body back and go home? Where I belong? I can't live here forever and ever..."

Instantaniously, coaxed by the calm and weary tone of the fox, the Moon returned with a cheery smile. Once again, the cold spotlight bathed Shauna's body while the rest of the desert was illumniated once more.

I do not know. The Moon offered Shauna a cool smile, one that was both childish and slightly unnerving. It looks like you will be staying here forever! Let us play games to pass the time, tell stories, sing songs! We will have so much fun! Smug with victory over its new friend predicament, the Moon flashed another strange smile.

Shauna stared up at the moon in horror. What? It still didn't want to help her?! What did a girl have to do to get some freedom? KILL SOMEONE? The fox's ears flattened against her head again when she was told, once again, that she couldn't leave. She loved to do all the things the moon was listing (Well except singing) but she'd rather go home, damnit!

"Why are you doing this to me? I'm not staying here. There has to be something I can do. I know you can send me home! You just don't want to!" Shauna's eyes narrowed a little bit. She was seriously getting frustrated with this whole situation. "Just let me go hooooooome!" She whined, curling up on the sand. Maybe if she just ignored the moon it'd get bored with her and just send her home itself...bah...didn't seem likely, but it was worth a shot.

If it could have, the Moon would have offered a shrug that was bloated with conflicting impressions: annoyance, pity, regret, selfishness, anger. I wish I could help you, it lied, mockingly pouting its smooth lips.

I suppose the only thing we can do now is...play?

Once again Shauna found herself glaring at the moon. It was lying, she knew it was lying. She could see it on its face! Hear it in its voice! There was no way this moon was being honest with her! Jerk!

"...No." She said simply, turning around and sitting with her back to the moon. Her nose was held high up in the air with her eyes closed, looking all around snooty and pretending to give the moon the cold shoulder. "I don't play with liars."
