Triumph, and all she had to do was whine a little. Who honestly can stand, this time, two Prettys crying and badgering? Shouldn't it break their hearts? The Prettys big innocent eyes full of tears. Pleading. Who could say no? Ha. Suckers. Works everytime. Now that Elisa met Vega the possibilities were endless with what they could do.
How exciting~!
Bouncing and clapping her hands, Elisa beamed back at her partner in crime. That looked like a whole lot of money! They could get tons of tea for their tea party now. Now all they had to do was find a person selling tea, but how does one go about doing that. Also, what would they look like? Not pretty, of course, since they service the Prettys, but that Elisa's only idea.
"Yes. Yes. We look. Look where?" she started as she gazed about the festival. It was pretty big and peons came be anywhere in the midst. "Ask mummy?" Elisa threw in. Elisa's mummy seemed to know a lot about a lot of things. Maybe she knew what an ice-tea vendor looked like.

Vega perked at the word mummy, remembering how much he grew to like other peoples pretty mummys. Totally better than stinky daddy. "Mommy pretty?" He asked hopefully, rocking on his heels. He was willing to look anywhere, but if a pretty mummy could help then shoot, why not?

Ho hum. Evie was pretty in own sense. She wasn't absolutely pretty like Vega and Elisa since they were in a league of their own. You see, there are many divisions in pretty. More like a triangle. The base has okay pretties, but pretties nonetheless. These pretties are average but have some very nice qualities about them. The middle has above and slightly average pretties. There is something more to them than the average pretty, and well, the top of the pyramid has the untouchables. No one can touch those pretties because they are just too...well...pretty. Elisa and Vega were definitely at the top. Evie, now, she was probably towards the base of the pyramid.
"Mummy pretty. Not pretty like us though." Elisa said in a matter-of-fact tone. Despite her average prettiness, Elisa was happy with Evie's looks. She wouldn't stand for an icky. Probably why she was so hard on Ivan. He was icky. Who knew that he was mummy’s twin. "She help though. Let's go~!"
The red head gestured for Vega to follow.

Vega nodded in approval of the plan, skipping happily after her. He had a similar idea to her triangle, though it only consisted of two frams. The Pretties and the people who were supposed to serve the Pretties. Mommies were the only real blur, and even that was argueable sometimes. "She like tea?" he asked curiously, wondering if she would also like to join their party.

Elisa nodded her head enthusiastically "Yes. Mummy loves tea very much." And it was very true. Evie grew up on tea having a designated tea time with her family. Grand Mama was very formal when it came to things like that. It was their way of family time, even though none of them truly wanted to be there.
Ivan was the mess up. Evie was the proper and ideal child, while Grand Mama was...well...Grand Mama. Very loud and boisterous. She was very hard on both of her children always wanting more than what they could give her. Families need to stick together though, and tea time was their way of sticking together.
"She get us some tea somehow." Elisa looked back at Vega and offered her hand. They could skip together.

"Okay," he said trustingly, taking her hand with a smile. He had remembered to pick his scarf up before they left Daddy behind, and now he flipped it up over his shoulders, giving himself a little trail. "Mommies are all better than Daddies," he told her pointedly, with just a touch of distaste. It was good to find someone that was like him. Inanna wasn't a Pretty, Osha had been kind of mean, and Holden didn't talk enough. And Gavin was just well, Gavin. He was Pretty, but he seem to care about it or other pretty things, Vega himself included.

"Yes. Yes. Mummies play with your hair and give you pretty dresses." Elisa said smiling. She was so happy to get a mummy. She couldn't imagine having just a daddy. That would be like just having Ivan. Ew. Now that was just gross. Ivan would just suppress the pretty inside her.
So...poor Vega. He must be so distressed! He has a daddy!
"Daddy no play with you hair?" Elisa asked hoping it wasn't true.

"No," he said sadly, "He want to cut it short." The word sounded like poison coming from the toddler, pouting as he fingered his silvery mess. "An he won't get me the clothes I like," he added, "He wants sports stuff." He cringed, icky mud and uglies pushing him and things like that.

What was Vega's daddy doing to him? Cut his hair and sports? What was he thinking! That was so beneath who Vega was! Vega was a Pretty! One of the best Pretties to be exact. Couldn't Vega’s daddy see that? Shouldn't he let Vega be the Pretty he was meant to be!
"No!" Elisa cried out, feeling for her friend. "Elisa won't let that happen to Vega!"This was surprising coming from the little girl. She, herself, was usually very self-oriented, but she felt this usual bond with Vega. Perhaps, it could be because they are a tad alike. Regardless, she'd do whatever it took to make sure that Vega wasn't suppressed anymore. He was her best friend after all.
"Oh." Elisa muttered almost coming to a stop. "There's mummy." She pointed with her free hand to a petite woman with short auburn hair sitting at a nearby picnic table reading a book. Silly mummy. Who reads books when there is fun to be had!

Vega nodded in agreement, Daddy was being stupid. "Mummy!" he shouted excitedly, running ahead of Elisa to hug the woman. True, she probably thought he was a little weird, but to him it would have been an honor to be hugged by a Pretty. Especially one as nice as himself or Elisa. "Hello Pretty Elisa's Mummy," he declared proudly, doing a little mock bow, "I'm Vega! Have you seen Tea-man?"

Alarmed, Evie let her book slip in hands a bit before looked down at Vega. It wasn't everyday that a child came running at you in order to hug you...Well if that child was yours it wasn’t odd in the least, but it was if you didn’t know them. Still, it was sweet. Just slightly...weird.
This child did seem to know Elisa though, which was nice too. Elisa needed to make friends.
Smiling, Evie set her book aside and gave her full attention to the children. "Hello, Vega. What do you mean by tea-man?"
At this point, Elisa was at Evie's tugging on her cardigan. "Mummy, you know, tea-man!"
Evie wasn't quite following this explanation and rose her brow. Tea-man? What was that supposed to mean? "No...I don't..."
Elisa huffed and crossed her arms. This was getting them no where.

"The man with the tea," Vega whined in frustration, extracting the money to show her. "He take this and give you tea," he explained desperately, his face turning red. It was bad when people didn't understand you, especially when they were pretty like Elisa's mommy was. Shouldn't she have understood what they meant? They were being very clear he thought.

Oh. An ice tea vendor of sorts. Now Evie was grasping what the toddlers were getting at. Merely telling her tea-man was certainly going to cause confusion, but with Vega waving money around, the gears started turned, and the lights finally clicked on.
"Oh, I see," Evie said smiling, trying to placate the children. "You want the ice tea vendor?" She paused for a second to survey the children's expressions before she continued. "He must be around here somewhere. Let's go look?"
Giddily clapping her hands, Elisa became excited now. Mummy finally understood what they were getting at. How hard was it to understand "tea-man" though? Silly mummy. If only she were prettier, than she would understand Vega and herself more.
Turning to Vega, Elisa smiled and offered her hand once more. "Yes. Yes. We go?"

"Yes!" Vega shouted triumphantly as he took Eisa's hand. "You mommy's funny," he whispered to her, eyeing the woman, "Much better than Daddy though. Daddy still thought we should get kool-aid." There was a degree of distaste to the word that only other Pretties would understand for sure. Kool-aid was okay for what it was, but it definately wasn't tea.

Elisa seemed to cringe at the thought of kool-aid once more. It really was a horrible suggestion, and Elisa still couldn't believe that Vega’s daddy mentioned it. Well...he was a daddy, so of course he wouldn't understand tea parties. Still...there was no excuse for his ignorance. If only there was a book on how to please a Pretty or something, then Vega's daddy and Icky could read it and understand them better. That would make life so much easier. Perhaps Elisa should write that book...well...when she can write, that is.
But mummy was funny? Well...that was true. She was pretty slow on the up-take. She guessed that could attribute to her being funny. But still...
"If you think mummy's funny," Elisa began with a mischievous smile on her face. "you should meet Icky. He's even funnier." And it was true. Icky was funnier and easy to manipulate. Elisa always made him do what she wanted.
How fun.
