"It all did work out then." He said, loving the mare his eldest had turned out to be. So was kind, and her smile was beautiful.
She indeed had her mothers charm and good looks, and even some of his romanticism.
"Ah, but thats why we are trying. We havent had them yet, which means we might not be ready."
He said, shaking his ebony tail of curls.

"Then... You needn't 'try'. You just need to believe that it will happen on its own when you're ready, right?" Her brow lofted slightly as she looked to her sire. "Things... Wind up going wrong if you try to hard. You should just be yourself."

"Where'd you get such intelligence, darling?"
He asked smiling. She was as smart as any smart mare he'd ever met. He enjoyed seeing her smile, and seeing her speak her mind. It was definately a good thing, a mare who said what she believed.
He hoped she had gotten that from his side.
"Then I shall follow your advice."

"From growing up." She smiled softly. She had learned alot from growing up... Things from her mother and from Draven... Things from her brother and from her friend, Sedi. She had learned from life itself.

"Naina is absolutely brilliant. She looks more like your mother everyday."
He said, nodding and smiling.

"Naina does look so very much like Mother... And Trevelyn... He is certainly your son by appearances." It was strange, looking at this stallion. She could place where the things that hadn't come from Nostalgia had come from. All of the pieces came together.
"She's... Gone, you know... But only for a while. She'll be back." She knew that her mother would return. "She has to, of course, if only to hear stories from Trev and I... And to meet the new members of our little family." Meaning Draven's three children, of course.

He nodded. Indeed Trevelyn looked identical to his sire.
But then his ears flicked and he looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"She left?"

"No, she didn't leave." Mother would never leave them. "She went where she was needed." She nodded slowly. That was what Draven had told her and that was what she would believe.

Oh okay. He would be terribly upset if Nos had left without a decent apology from the stallion. Glancing back at Memory he gave her a soft smile.

How had life been? That had potential to be a loaded question. There were ups and downs, of course, but she did her best to view things from the sunny side.
"Life has been good... It's an adventure every day and there are always new things to smile about. There's going to be snow soon... And fall was so beautiful but snow usually means good things..."

"Oh thats right! You guys haven't seen snow yet, right?"
He asked, or at least, he was pretty sure.
He despised snow, but it seemed to bring her joy, so he'd gladly go along.
"Snow is very cold, It's a hard substance to live with."

"Mother spoke very highly of it... She told us how beautiful winter is... And I can imagine that the sky would be even more so on cold, winter nights. She also said that there are celebrations throughout the land... That people celebrate the winter with bright smiles and warm fires." More than just the holiday, winter and snow meant being together with family again. She was looking forward to that.
