"What's there to like about it?" he asked, shaking his head. "It's cold."
His vested shirt rustled as he stepped forward, leaning down to drink from the chilled brook. The afternoon sun was bright, yet the wind seemed to ward off the warmth from the large star. He didn't mind the cold all that much, as long as he kept moving.
Rising from the riverside, he glanced over towards the mare. "And what will you eat, Dru, once all the apples are gone?"

"Oh, grass, I suppose... Little things that still seem to grow beneath the snow. I'll have to search for them of course... Or wait for you to bring them to me..." She said with a bright smile.

"I may not always be here to fetch your supper, love." he said, thinking aloud. After all, anything was possible, and he very well could meet his match one of these days. What would become of Dru if that happened?
Glancing over towards her once again, golden eyes took in the sight of the mare.
She'd manage. She always did.
"But, of course, you know I would. Got me wrapped around your hoof, you do."
Shaking his head, he slowly walked back towards where she stood.

She smiled softly at the stallion as she stretched out her neck, touching her nose lightly to his cheek. "I could always let the strange little two-leg-walkers take care of me again... And brush my hair and play with my beads..."

He stood there, and gave her a reprimanding look. "Are you trying to make me upset at you, pet?" he asked, shaking his head. Apparently, he was going to have to do that alot today. "If you want to go back to those creatures and have them saddle you up with all their luggage and whatnot, be my guest. But you won't see me being their pretty boy transportation service. I'm through with being their captive."

"It isn't my fault you upset so easily." She pouted prettily, giving her head a light toss that sent curls bouncing against her pale neck. "Did I say that I was going anywhere, William? I'm still here, aren't I? Or have I gone invisible? Am I drifting away with the breeze?"

"You'll be as light and thin as the breeze, if you don't get something in that stomach of yours." he stated matter-of-factly, nodding his head as he leaned over to n** at her curls. "And you damn well know I'd never let you go back there, even if you wanted to."

"Light as a breeze..." She murmured softly, almost thoughtfully as she took in a deep breath, releasing it slowly. "If I had wings I could be as light as a breeze any day not just on days that you think I haven't eaten enough..." Leaning down she nipped at the grass by her hooves, hoping to ease his worries.

"If you had wings, love, you'd still be just as pretty as you are now."
He smiled, his stained fangs peaking out from between pale lips. Life was grand... they were in a new land, surrounded by new things, and new adventures of havoc and chaos awaited them. It was going to be a helluva good time.
