The Corvette rode on past yet another pile of smoldering debris, that was the 2 destroyed MAC generator that they passed, hopfully at least 2 would remain so that the UNSC fleet above could take out that Covenant fleet. As they came to the third generator, they saw that it was up, but surrounding it was hundreds of dead bodies, human and Covenant alike. Tessy drove the Vette to the front and saw that the battle was not over yet, there was still fighting going on. Liz looked up in time to see an incoming Banshee, it had no driver. She jumped up, grabbed the Banshee, climbed in, and started it before it could crash into her Vette. She turned it toward the Enemy forces, they didn't seem to notice that one of their Banshee's had been taken. She fire the plasma cannons and launched a few fuel rods at the enemy before they understood what was happening. Liz looked below to see the Vette carving a path thru the enemy Grunts, Jakals, and Elites. It was then that she noticed a big problem. A really big problem. Two of them actually. Those two problems were in the form of two Hunters standing in the way of her Vette. She nosed the Banshee down toward the Hunters and hit the booster. She was slightly faster than her Vette, but barely. She hit both Hunters with metal tearing force, killing the Hunter behind the one that she hit, and she saw why, the spines of the first Hunter went straight thru the second one's armor, killing it. The first one was okay, just knocked out. She nosed the aircraft upward and turned back toward the battle. She saw her Vette again, it carving another path thru the enemy, this time with Ace on top firing the Machine Gun. Within minutes, this battle was over. Liz landed the Banshee next to her Vette and got out, ready to meet the commanding officer of this batch of soldiers, but then she remembered the Hunter, and thought that it would be a nice gift to ONI. She retrieved some chains from her Vette, ran over to where the Hunter layed, removed the shield and plasma cannon from its arms, and tied it it up with the chains. She then removed the spines on its back and drug the Hunter, still unconscious, over to the Corvette, along with its shield and Cannon.

Liz then dumped the Hunter into the back of her Vette, and chained it down there. She then turned around to see the leader of that generator was a private. He quickly explained that only 3 Marines were left defending that base, and that they had hidden from the Covenant to wait out for an effecient plan.

( There is such a thing called luck, you know. He could have out smarted them by throwing his grenades at their feet, you know.)

Liz left Ace to command over the Marines and set a few traps for any oncoming Covenant, with Tessy to drive the Corvette if any do get past the traps. Liz took some Plasma Grenades and a few extra clips of ammo, she was going after the last generator. She hopped inside the Banshee and took off, heading toward the north, it was the last one under Covenant control that was not blown up yet. She hit the booster of the aircraft and it jetted forward, coving distance like a cheetah on an energy pak.

(Ahh, but you forget, she didn't say that it was hand-to-hand, she just said that he had finished them off, plus, John has a good amount of weaponry up his sleeve, so to speak. And, if you activated the boosters on the Banshee, it could go a solid paced 75 mph, so don't diss the 'Shee)

The Banshee flew closer to the waypoint, Liz not in the bit least worried. She could see the generator from here, so she drove closer to the ground, the wings of the aircraft hitting the tops of the trees. It was before the explosion, that she saw what happened; a Covenant cruiser had fallen from the space battle above and flew right over her. The Banshee was caught in the vacuum and thrust to the ground with tremendous force. The Banshee hit the ground, but thanks to Liz;s quick reactions, and when she pulled up on the throttle, trying to get it in the air, it didn't explode, but it was very damaged. She crawled out of the remains of the Banshee when that Covenant cruiser hit the mountain a few miles behind the generator. Liz got up, made sure she had everything, and ran at a flat out pace of 44.5 k/hour toward the generator, which wasn't more than a klick away.

Liz pulled out her chain gun and jumped off a small cliff and onto an Elite, chrushing his skull as she landed. She lifted the chain gun and pulled the trigger, watching the barrels as they started to spin at a very high speed. The bullets then started to fly from the barrels, chopping up all of the Grunts and Jakals that were surprised as their leader died. After they were dead, Liz continued to run toward the generator, chain gun in hand. As she burst from the canopy, she started firing at every enemy in sight.

Liz turned as Shinta said that on the TACCOM channel that she was tuned in to. She aimed her cahin gun at the enemy Ghost and fired, the rapid firing of the chain gun blaring in her ear. Several of the bullets hit the Ghost, but one shot hit the fuel tank and made the Ghost explode in a fiery fire ball. She then turned to the generator and ran into the building, followed by the whirr of Shinta's Ghost.

Liz then ran over to the starting mechanism and started the generator up again. The battle was won, but the war was not over yet.
