His ears perked up, looking at her as she spoke. She seemed very, VERY displeased with what he had just told her. She definitly knew this Afu about how she seemed to want to know more about her. If she had not met her before... well, she would have just passed her off and said nothing about it. His eye gave a twitch of what seemed to be of slight fear of what she would do if he said something out of line. If he was going to travel with her, he would rather have it being a good journey of nice, calm, preferably, friendly chats... but he was not sure if what he was going to say would please her...
"She's very close to Ahali... and he is starting this Pride... so I would think a leader or something," he paused waiting for her reply. Why did he get a feeling deep down in his gut tell him that something was wrong? As if he said something wrong?

Mwana let out a high pitched mix between a shriek and a scream, her teeth snapped tightly together. The sound, however, was not directed at Trigger, which was made clear as she cursed, "That tramp, no good, prenentious scutt!" Her rant continued, though at this point she seemed to have blocked Trigger out of her mind completely as she began to pace back and forth as if to relieve her furious energy. Though finally she whirled on Trigger, her eyes blazing, "I am going for a walk!" And with that proclamation she stormed off to where she could express her anger well...in private.

Trigger flinched a little as she snapped at him. With a growl, he charged on after her, staying in pace with her. He watched her silently fume to herself. Something about Afu pissed her off. To use such terms as 'no good', 'tramp' and... prenentious scutt'. It seems she had a passionate hatred for the female and he had came into it in a rather bad way. They were going to a Pride where she held a high rank and they hated each other. But what really pissed him off was that they were starting to have a good conversation and start off a good day until this.
"What the hell is the matter with you now? First you were all sick, getting better, and here you are huffing and puffing," he paced up and stood in front of her. "Talk."

Mwana glared at him. How dare he stand in front of her like that! She was furious about Afu and it was very likely that if he stuck around that anger would get misdirected at him. "Why don't you go ask my dirty half sister!" she squwaked, spitting the word "half" like it was a disease. Which was how she regarded Afu, even if it wasn't something she could tell someone. To think that a daughter of a commoner, even if her father WAS Mwana's, would be the ruler of a pride! It was digusting and frankly unfair.

He narrowed her eyes as he glared at her rather deeply. He was not gonna try to comfort him this time, this was not the time to. This... this was time to correct her and get some answers. He growled and took a heavy step at her, crouching slightly.
"That half sister saved our lives during that fire, her and Ahali, with the rest of us. She was there and she helped," he scoffed and exhaled, sitting himself down. "Now calmed down. How the hell is Afu your half sister? She looks nothing like you, even that, she would have said something when I said your name last time." he scoffed again. In truth, he only murmured it. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time but sayin Afu's to Mwana seemed to get explosive results. "Talk to me, I am here for a damn reason. I am not some brute, I can think, y'know."

"Of course she didn't say anything! She always tries to be something she's not...so saying something about me in public wouldn't be practical. And if you compared her to my other sister, Maua, you'd say they looked to be the true blood sisters," Mwana prattled, her anger not leaving and her was certainly not coming down. Continuing, still in the same breath, "She's the child of some dirty little lioness and my father! She left us all, very ungraciously, without a word! And you're surprised I'm not happy to see her?" He could try and calm her down all he wanted, but it wouldn't work, especially not if he was having her dig up the exact reasons as to why she didn't like Afu in the first place. That only made the burn blaze hotter.

He sighed and saw that he wasn't going to get anywhere. She was too passionate about this subject of her half sister. He hardly knew of Maua but she was mentioned the last time Mwana and her other sister were together when he had found them. With a sigh, he got up and had decided to walk back to the tree. If she was not going to calm down and talk, then he will have to seek the comfort in talkin' to the meerkat at least. He stopped beside her, giving her a soft lick... one that showed that he cared some.
"When you calmed down, come back to the tree. I'll be waiting for you there with some food. Just finished what you are doing and get back, we are leaving before the sun rises," he glanced back at her before giving a quick n** to her ear before heading back. It was obvious that both of them had some things on their mind to think things through. He knew he did as a slight red spread across his face but he paid no mind.
After all... it was just nothing.
