You can't really complain about how shitty Sevenfold's version is when it's exactly the same as Pantera's.

Guitar is tuned to low, the singers voice isn't as growly or glutteral as Phil's.

That hardly passes as different from the original.
depends on the person's opinion, cause everyone's their own kind of stupid...well some people are

The instrumentals in the a7x version is higher, it sounds like, slightly higher.

They got the instrumentals down, but the vocals are TERRIBLE. It does not sound exactly the same, Anselmo is a singer who you just cant recreate. Especially these mainstream bands should back the ******** up off of Pantera songs.

They're actually both in key with each other. You're probably thrown off by the recording quality of Pantera's version. Phil's vocals are too forced for me to even bother posting a negative opinion about them. Though they are probably the only thing Pantera didn't steal from Exhorder.

I won't even start it up.
What about Megadeth? They claimed a lot that Pantera stole most of their style and sound. Which I believe that Dimebag was actually offered a position in Megadeth.

Not even to mention it would leave every Death metal act fighting over who pioneered the same sound.

I don't listen to much of them, but I think the stuff I have is their older stuff.

Yeah, Sep was never the same after Max left to join Soulfly.

As for black/death metal... lets face it, most of the differences amount too 'The base is played a tempo lower then the standard.'
Hardly a ground breaking achievement. That said, do you think if Black/Deathmetal singers forget the words they just gargle gibberish on stage?

No, I think they don't remember the words, but remember the tone in which they gargled. Like in I c** Blood, by Cannibal Corpse.

Yeah that'd do it.
