Alas nodded at the pained mother and followed her gaze upward. "I have a chance at happiness, a chance to perhaps have a mate and family, but while I can still fix things here I have to try. I do intend to leave this pack, but I wouldn't want to bring any harm to those who have given me their friendship and love."
She sighed "It's sad to see a family torn, but I know you'll always love them, I think even the worst of mothers love their children deep down. Whatever is in the air, it is not the lynx alone causing it. I know that much..." She only hoped that it was not the alpha she had promised her help and guidance to that was causing such turmoil.

"Love and true friendship can last through the most horrid times," the femme stated as if off somewhere else. However, looking back at Alas, a soft frown appeared. "If you have someplace to go. Be sure to tell them whatever you find out about this pack if it isn't good. Warnings are always helpful, especially if there is a war brewing."
Had she just said war? Oh dear god, that wasn't what this pack was all for was it? Would that explain Algoma's appearance in the woods and the abandoning of her wolf free blood bath zone? NO! Kattana wouldn't accept this answer.
"Let's just pray for the health of the youth that the dark cloud will be lifted off this land, but I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon."

"A war...the question is, against who?" She sighed and stood. Alas would need to add all this to her next conversation with Crunch, the moons had almost passed and it was time to go back to him for another lesson, and a long talk.
"I wish you all the luck in the world Kattana. I fear you and many others will need it." She sighed softly and nodded.

Kattana looked at Alas, "I don't know, but the air is thick with something and it smells like it could lead into a war." Kattana muttered she wasn't sure, but it just felt familiar.
"The same wishes to you, Alas."

Alas nodded at the black and tan female and streached. "Until next time, I hope we meet under happier circumstances."
With that the pink healer turned and headed away from the quiet stream to face what challenges or joys lay ahead of her.
