"No, no! Nothing of great importance today. Just patrolling." She nodded, smiling brightly. "Enjoying the beautiful scenery of the forest and, in cases such as this, good company. That's part of patrolling, you see..." There was also defending and guiding but if Vanilla wasn't lost than she could easily just stand aroun and chatter for a bit.

Vanilla nodded understandingly, and thought about something for a moment. "Would you like me to keep you company as you patrol? I'd be happy to walk around with you. And I promise, I won't be a bother!" Still holding a bright grin, she shuffled closer to the other female and wiggled her tail lightly. "It might be nice to admire the sceneary a bit more, especially with some company and discussion!" Vanilla was also someone who enjoyed moving around, and she smiled excitedly as she watched the other mare.

"That sounds... Wonderful!" She smiled brightly, pawing at the ground beneath her with excitement. "I can show you around the forest... There's a path I always follow and there's a pretty little pond... Telikos tried to tell me that a kelpi lived in it but I don't believe him anymore because Lady Alysida said that he was full of it... But I'm not entirely sure as to what 'it' is."

Vanilla wasn't sure what 'Kelpi' meant, but despite that confusion she decided to hop a few steps in front of the other Usdia, and anxiously await her to lead the way. "I am happy to follow, since I would love to see everything in this forest. That pond also sounds nice.." Turning her head to look in front of them, Vanilla eagerly giggled before putting her attention back on the other Usdia. "I am not really sure that 'it' means either, so it must not be that big of a deal, right?" At least there was another who was as innocent as her..

"The pond is so very pretty... Nice and clear." She nodded slowly. "Last time I was there I saw all sorts of pretty plants and flowers... I bet there are pretty fall leaves there everywhere now." She gave her head a light toss. "'It', whatever it is, must be something silly... Like fluff or something..."

Vanilla nodded happily as she walked beside the mare, and she imagined the pond must have been colorful from all of the leaves that had fallen so recently. "So how much farther is the pond? It can't be too far, right?!" Hopefully they would get there soon since Vanilla was excited to see the place! She was more happy that the mare was showing her around, rather then her going off by herself.

"I think..." She paused for a moment so that she could look around, getting a better 'feel' for her surroundings. "It's right up ahead." She smiled brightly as she set a light pace in the direction of the pond, letting out a soft whicker as it came into view.

Kuval was confused. He spotted the two pony-things instantly as they came into view, and he kept his head just a tad above the water. His nose let out many bubbles as he watched them, and his tail wiggled back and forth at his thoughts. The closer the figures got, the more he realized that they WEREN'T little children. They were like.. awkward.. small.. ponies.. AND THEY WERE COMING TO HIS POND!
Either way, the Kelpi moved himself behind a patch of pond grass, and watched for what the ponies would do. They both appeared to be female, and they also seemed unaware of his presence. That left the stallion open with MANY options, and he pondered what he could do to the strange creatures. Hopefully they would go away.. but at the same time, Kuval was curious as to what his plan of action should be.
Vanilla trotted ahead of the other Usdia, and she stopped herself when she reached the waters surface. "Its so quiet and pretty here! No wonder you like it so much." With a grin, she turned to look back towards the Usdia, and then quickly put her two front legs into the shallow water. "Its not that cold either.. hehe, this feels nice." Even though the air was chilly, the water was a tad warmer, and Vanilla was bouncing back and forth as she made little splashes.

"I didn't get to play much the last time I was here... I was standing gaurd, you see..." She watched the other petite mare splash around for a bit, sorely tempted to join her. Instead she trotted around to the side of the small pond. "There were lovely water lillies here... You can still see the pads... And a big bullfrog. I bet he's gone to sleep."

Vanilla continued to splash around, before finally turning herself to listen to the other mare. "Aw well, if you couldn't play last time, why not play this time? The area looks safe, right?" And at her words of a bullfrog, Vanilla glanced about, wondering what the heck that was. "I'll have to scope the area out some more." Vanilla moved herself into a fast walk, and started to move herself along the waters edge. Since it was a big circle, she was able to see the pond from all angles. "This is bigger then it looks!"
Now, it seemed Kuval had tolerated quite enough here. These midget things were not only splashing about, but they were RUINING his area. How didn't matter, but it was their presence that was bothering him. It didn't help that he hated land dwellers anyways, but these little 'things' were becoming a nuisance.
As the stallion noticed the tanish one moving away, he took the opportunity to move himself out of the water, and walk towards the whitish midget. "Well well well, aren't you both having fun." After shaking the water off him, he gave the white pony a cocky frown. "What the hell are you two, anyways. Aliens?" Bah, he should have randomly scared the ugly things. But either way, he could still enjoy himself and bother them!

Her eyes went wide as she watched a creature emerge from the water. A creature coming out of the water. "Kelpi..." She murmured softly, taking a slow step backwards before bolting towards Vanillia as fast as her stubby little legs would carry her. The pond monster had approached her... But it was her duty to protect others so protect she would!
"Vanilla, RUN! It's a pond monster! Alysida was wrong. Telikos isn't full of it."

With a loud snort, Kuval cringed suddenly at what the pony said. "I am NOT a monster. You stupid land dwellers are always calling me that, and you wonder why we hate you!" He was sensative on the word, since he was so ridiculed as a child. "You don't see me calling you stubby little pony.. things!" Keeping himself planted on the water's edge, he glanced at the distance between him and the ponys now, and rolled his eyes dramatically. "Man, why did I even approach these stupid things?"
He flopped his heavy tail into the shallow water, and let his eyes wander from off the ponys. Ugh, he needed to calm himself. Maybe this little things WERE children, and what would they know? "So.. why am I dangerous? And why are you running?" he then said, while looking at the white pony.
Vanilla stopped herself, since her eyes were glued to the red-splotched creature. WHAT... was THAT?
She quickly turned her attention to the other Usdia, who was frantically running towards her. "Wait.. that thing is a monster? He might be, since he's so grumpy..." Vanilla was more fascinated then anything, so she kept her worries away from her, and continued to stare at the creature. "What did he say to you? Maybe he's nice??"

She turned, brow furrowed slightly as she looked to the kelpi, still wary even if he didn't seem to be coming after them. "L-looks can be deceiving... Kelpi lure you into the water... And then drag you down." She didn't know if they ate you after that... But wouldn't drowning be bad enough without knowing what would happen to you afterwards?
"Monster was the wrong word." She held her head high, trying to redeem herself even if only in her own mind. "My apologies, Sir Kelpi... We'll just be on our ways..."

Kuval blinked at the white pony's words, and then laughed to himself obnoxiously. "Who the hell told ya that! That is the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard. Man, you land dwellers will believe anything. Oh but please, run if you must." He lifted his leg and waved his hoof in an impish fashion, and then lowered his leg with a loud clunk.
"Sir Kelpi my a**." is what he finished with, and he watched for their next plan of action. Hopefully he was bothering them enough.. hopefully.
Vanilla was so confused, and she shuddered as she clung to her friend. "He really is a mean fellow, maybe we should just dart outta here.." Vanilla wasn't one who liked to get herself into trouble, but her emotions were telling her to feel sorry for the Kelpi. "He must be lonely, why else would he be this mean to us?" In her mind, that was what made sense, and she hoped something good was inside of that Kelpi.

She gave the other tiny mare a quick sidelong glance, not wanting her eyes to leave the kelpi for long. She didn't trust him... Not one bit. "He's probably cranky because his water was disturbed... Telikos says that they don't like 'land dwellers' playing in their water."
Her eyes then narrowed, a soft snort blowing out a puff of hot air. "You shouldn't use language like that in front of ladies, you know."
