Alas tilted her head and gave a light nod at Twists words, but suddenly she realized that her suspicions had much more ground then she had given them. Twist was doing something sneaky, no alpha would be so paranoid, so untrusting of their own members without cause. The lynx was no true threat to Twix, infact Alas wondered if she herself was not the bigger threat now that she knew the truth. Still she sighed and nodded looking dissapointed about Twists lack of trust in her, she was more dissapointed by the the betrayal.
"Hopefully everything will work out smoothly and there will be no more misunderstandings between us." She wondered for a moment at why Twist would want a pup there before remembering the Alpha liked having her Beta pups.

Truthfully Twist was not much more of a pup then Wazzam. Maybe a span of a season seperating there ages. In reality it was nothing to her- although from Alas's reaction she seamed to hint the displesure from her. "You know Wazzam and I aren't that far in ages- If thats what your thinking. And you know I find him rather cute." She chuckled at the thought. Yes Wazzam made for a wonderful pawn. But the fact he mirrored his agressive father rather turned her on as well. Although at this point she still couldn't see a reason to 'love' him. Then again she was new to these things after her terrible past.
"And I hope so too Alas...but you really need to start trusting me. I can read you like a book." She shook her head and looked into the others eyes. "Age dosn't mean anything- it just means where others see a pound of flesh I see potential; thats why you know I can't be in leauge with Algoma- she distroys puppies for fun. You should remeber that next time you see me taking in stray litters- I just don't want them to go threw anything I've had to. Though I still don't think you'll ever understand any of my motives or why am I like I am. I would have thought you would have been more understanding seeing you know about my family."
She sat her haunches down on the ground and curled a tail about her legs for warmth. Her head was hung slightly downcast. "It's not easy to stay ontop of things when everyone is agaist you and you don't have that maternal care to watch over you. As you told Wazzam- family is most important- but what if you don't HAVE family? Then you become a grumpy egotistical alpha like me with a paranioa complex..." She chuckled and winked trying to lighten the mood and prehaps sway Alas back to her side.

Alas decided not to think on Twist's first words, for it was true that she was not so far in age from the pup. A reminder of her youth, for while she had great potential as an alpha there was no telling what she would or was doing with it.
"Wazzam isn't from a stray litter, he has a family. Still...your right the lack of trust in one another is disturbing. I will do my best to restore your confidance in me, I've been as loyal as can be." Alas felt bad for the thoughts that had been running through her head, but she hadn't voiced her opinions. In Twist she saw a pup that needed to be guided onto a proper path. Now Alas wondered if Twist wasn't the one doing the guiding instead. She shook away the unhappy thoughts and moved to give Twist a light nuzzle.
"The pack will be your family, all of us if you just trust us. You'll learn with practice after all, an alpha will have as much loyalty and devotion as he or she is willing to give to his or her followers." She stood and shook off.
"I'll arrange to speak with Crunch and set things up for you to meet with him as soon as possible...the more allies you have the better you will feel, no?"

"No he's not a stray; but he feels he is inwardly. His mother even you have to admit is abit distant; and his father is too demanding of him. That can be tough on any puppy or young adult. He feels they just don't have any time for him- ironically I did which put me in quite an aquward situation as I turned somewhat into his mother. He idolizes me- but now that he is growing he seams to have taken on all the qualities that I need in an alpha- more so in a mate. I didn't mean to have it turn out this way...but nobody ever dose. He still hopes that with this new rank that he could impress upon his parents he feels have long ago abandoned him. I feel sorry for him- I really do. I don't think whatever he dose will convince them that he is 'special'."
She sighed again as she spoke many truths in the words about Wazzam. "You must forgive him if he dosn't think highly of his family- these are the reasons why." She seamed to note back to her earlier statement. "Unfortunatly the world isn't perfect and neither are familys. Sometimes your friends and mates turn out to be closer to you then everyone else in reality."
Nuzzling Alas back she seamed to have dropped her adgetated gaurd somewhat. "Yes it'd be nice to have allies in another pack. Once negotiations are done the packs can mingle freely with one another. I just want to make sure we are all safe before I let such things happen...hence why only the alpha's are meeting." She seamed to restate to Alas as reasureance that she was doing the right thing by not having them all have a giant party on the first meeting.

Alas nodded as she listened to Twist, it was true she hadn't seen the parents of the pups around. Then again she hadn't been looking for her packmates, too worried that they were in league with the lynx. It was understandable that the young orange pup would look to his alpha for the guidance he wasn't receiving from his family. Yet it bothered her slightly that Twist hadn't done more to encourage him and his family together, instead she seemed to let the situation play out as it was.
Twists next words made Alas cringe inwardly, but outwardly she showed no different signs. A puppy as an alpha? It was bad enough Twist wanted a puppy beta. It seemed the young Alpha was surrounding herself with those younger then herself, perfectly allowing her to manipulate the upper members of the pack. Yet Alas knew in her heart she could never obey an inexperienced pup puppet as her alpha. She had a hard enough time treating Twist properly, though that was not due so much to age as actions.
"It's understandable..." She murmered softly to Twist and nodded at the thought of allies.
"It's good your thinking of everyone's safety, I'll make sure to let Crunch know the meeting will be Alpha's only...and Beta's?"

"I'd prefer not- I Actully don't know where my beta has run off to. There is actully a good chance that she has been eatten and this disturbs me greatly." She sighed Larka was her best friend as a pup- and even though everyone was pawns in the great sceame of her plans- she just couldn't help but be upset with her disapearence.
"Actully if you could find her it would make for all the importance in the world..." Again her mind seamed to wander; why did her only friend and family disapear? Why was she cursed with such rotten luck? Prehaps that was why she seperated herself with pawns instead of friends.
With a puff of air she seamed to stand up, then look to the dead fish that surrounded her. "Alas, don't worry about Wazzam. He will make a good leader...though maybe your right about getting an older wolf as a beta- prehaps somebody pink."
With that she seamed to walk off from the ocean and back towards the pack lands.

Alas listened to Twist quietly and left out any comments, simply watching as the alpha turned and walked off. She sat there on the shore for a moment before slowly turning back towards the waters and gazing at the fish as they darted away. The water at the edge was tinted with blood from the snapping Twist had done.
"Perhaps..." she murmered to herself and nodded at the water. Slowly she stood and streached moving along the beach not so far from where the evil lynx kept her prisoner and trouble of another sort was brewing.
