(SAme XD)
Link could feel the horse between his legs tense as they rode towards Hyrule town, "I know Epona, you wanna run don't cha. But it we break another shipment of milk bottles, Mom's gonna kill me," the blond haired boy told his steed, then whispered in it's ear, "Don't worry, as soon as we're done, I'll take you for a nice run." The horse still seemed to want more, but link knew an easy way to calm her down. As the rode towards the castle, he began to Whistle the song to which the brown mare had been named after. Originally the song had been named after the horse his Great great grandmother had given his great great grandfather, the 'Hero'. When his horse was younger, they found that she to had an attraction to the song.
It was a full half an hour until at last they reached the main gate of the castle town. Slowly, they made their way across the wooden bridge with the carriage filled with Lon Lon milk behind them.

Zelda walked cautiously down the path to the castle gate, holding a basket of bad fruit and keeping her eyes turned submissively down. The guards leaning on either side of the impressive doorway didn't give her a second glance as she slipped past them, out into the whirling maze of color that was Castle Town.
As soon as she was out of the guards' line of sight, she set the basket of fruit down and slid the ratty cloth from her long, tawny hair; the guards unfortunately knew her well enough to recognize her just by seeing it. It was a bit long to be a peasant girl's, but the well-worn, simple dress she wore and the fact that her traitorous hair was pulled back in a braid made it almost impossible to think of her as what she was.
She smiled and set off to explore the market. She could never buy anything, of course; she had no money, and even if she had any, questions would inevitably be raised and the security around her would tighten. She just liked to see the people yelling and bargaining over and about items both exotic and mundane.

Epona slowed as they entered the town, waiting for the hustle and bustle of the marketplace to slow so that they could go through. After a few minutes it became clear that no one was going to let him through, and so Link dismounted in order to find the vendor who would sell his family's milk. "I'll be right back Epona so you be good," Link warned, then wandered off into the crowd.
Though he knew where he knew where he was going, Link's journey was once again hindered by the crowds. Obviously the newest style or what not was on sale and ever woman who believed herself beautiful just had to have it. Eventually though, the blond haired boy spotted a small shop with a sign in the window, "We sell Lon Lon milk!"

Someone bumped into Zelda and apologized distractedly, and she fought to suppress a grin. She loved this. It was incredibly therapeutic to suddenly be in a crowd of loud, rude, busy people after spending fruitless hours in a silent library looking for the legends of a long dead hero.
Her eyes flicked hungrily over various different signs, signs for hats, signs advertising fruit, signs proclaiming that they sold- Zelda blinked- Lon Lon milk. What on earth was that? She thought she'd heard the name before, though she could think where.
Her attention was suddenly diverted by the booth across from the milk store, or, more specifically, a specific necklace in the booth across from the milk store. She gasped and ran up to it. "It's beautiful!" she exclaimed to the man minding the store, her eyes sparkling.
It wasn't that she didn't have jewelry; she had plenty of jewelry, too much jewelry. What was one person supposed to do with so many baubles and trinkets? But where as her royal jewelry was ornate and encrusted with jewels, this piece was exquisite in its simplicity. From a slender golden chain hung a blue jewel that seemed to glow with an inner light, with a small tendril of gold curling like a grapevine tendril against it.
"It's modeled after the ancient Spiritual Stone of Water," said the man, his tone just this side of bored.
Zelda shook her head vaguely, her mind still on the necklace. "No, the design is more like the Spiritual Stone of the Forest, but it's the wrong color."

The man in the shop smiled as Link entered, immediately tossing at him a bag of Rupees, "I didn't hear you coming, where's Epona?"
"I had to leave her at the gate, there's a big crowd today. Which reminds me, what exactly is going on?" Link asked and the man smiled.
"Just a jewelry sale, the women of these parts are known to go alittle crazy over shiny rocks."
'Jewelry huh? Maybe I should get Mom something,' the teenager thought. The man seemed to be staring at him as Link daydreamed about what to buy. It took the farmboy a moment before he realized what the vendor wanted, "Oh sorry, I'll be right back with the milk, I'm just gonna have to take a few trips," Link apologized then left the store as the man chanted "Take your time."
'But firsy for alittle shopping.'

The man running the booth looked nervously over at some other ladies who were holding similar pendants, then glared at the girl. "You're mistaken, Miss. That is an accurate reproduction of the Spiritual Stone of Water."
Zelda glanced up, surprised by the change in his tone. She studied his face for a moment, her eyebrows raised, then smiled slightly. "You are probably right. My mistake." She spared one last longing look for the necklace, then turned away without another word.
Her eyes were immediately drawn to the Lon Lon Milk sign again. She frowned. Where on earth had she heard of it? The answer continued to dance right out of her reach, and she pursed her lips thoughtfully.

AS Link approached the booth, he overheard the last part of a conversation between a blond haired girl and the vendor. Link stared at the necklace and smirked. The girl seemed to have lost interest, but still he felt that the other women had a right to be warned, "No this is definitely the Spiritual Stone of the Forest, but shouldn't it be green?" the blond asked, knowing the true answer. He himself had seen the true stone only just that morning. It was the one of the only few items left over from his ancestor to prove that he may have actually done something in his life. According to his mother, his great great grandfather had once owned the other two but returned them to their respective owners. Like that was true.
"Look farm boy, maybe you should get back on your little horse and go home," the vendor said slightly threateningly in a low voice as not to alarm his customers.

Zelda almost had it, something to do with something she'd read. Just behind her, she became of the vendor speaking in a low, threatening way, and lost her train of thought. Annoyed, she turned around to see him speaking to a young man. "...Get back on your little horse and go home."
Zelda's eyes flashed. Enough was enough. It had seemed pointless to upset everyone by pointing out that the vendor was either lying or misinformed; the jewelry was still breathtaking. What did it matter?
Now, though, he'd crossed a line. No one had the right to speak to someone like that. A small voice in the back of her mind warned her that the last thing she wanted was to get herself noticed, but she silenced it.
She walked calmly back up to the booth, smiling a misleadingly peaceful smile. "Goodness," she said, her quiet voice effortlessly carrying an invisible weight that made the other potential buyers look up. "I would hate to think that you discriminate against farmers. Most of the people who come to market to buy and sell are farmers of some type; you might not sell much if you decide they're not worthy of your time."

As the girl spoke, Link suddenly had a chance to truly look at her. She had a beautiful face, soft yet strong, and eyes that seemed to show wisdom beyond her years. Her words obviously seemed to touch the people around them, for quickly they had already gathered.
"Thank you," Link whispered then walked back towards Epona. Upon arrival, Link found a small child taking a drink from one of the bottles. He was about to yell, but suddenly noticed that the boy had no shoes and might as well have been wearing rags. He was not about to take a meal away from a poor child.

Zelda was still looking calmly into the vendor's helplessly angry eyes when the boy thanked her; by the time she turned to look at him, she only had time for a glimpse of his face before he was walking away. She watched him go, wondering at the slight, irrational flash of recognition she'd felt, then shook her head slightly. Deja vu.
Suddenly she gasped, the farm boy and the vendor disappearing from her mind like smoke. That was it! Lon Lon Ranch was the last known location of the Spiritual Stone of the Forest! The storekeeper might have even seen it himself! Her cheeks flushed with the excitement of having put the puzzle together as she forced herself to walk slowly up to the shop. She opened the door, the tiny ring of a bell sounding as she did so.

Link came back into the store, two bottles in each arm and one tucked delicately under his chin. One sneeze and the floor would be covered in glass. Carefully, he placed them on the counter and relaxed, "Alright I've still got Nineteen more bottles in the wagon, I'll be right back," Link told the man, who seemed to smirk.
"I believe I ordered twenty-five bottles," the man smirked, watching a the boy laughed nervously, "Giving away things for free again are you? One of these days that heart of yours is going to get you into trouble."
Link prepared to defend himself, then noticed the blond haired girl from earlier in the room, "Oh hey, thanks again for back there, my name's Link."

Zelda smiled. "Well, Link, I was glad to help, although I'm sure you didn't really need me to." She paused, her expression becoming serious. "I hope I didn't hurt his business too much. He does beautiful work, even if he does misrepresent it."
As she spoke, she looked across at the shopkeeper, then back to Link, committing both faces to memory. It wasn't as though they'd tell the nobody she was supposed to be anything about the stone even if they knew something; they'd have been keeping it a secret for generations. She'd have to find a way to ask at some later point when she was carrying all her authority as Princess of Hyule, although how she was going to pull that off without alerting her father was beyond her.
Alerting...her father! Zelda's eyes widened. She'd stayed out for much longer than she'd intended to; she had a 30 minute window when no one would miss her, and it was doubtless closing fast if it wasn't already shut. "I'm sorry, I've got to start home or I'll be late," she said, rushing to the door and pulling it open. The bell chimed frantically. "It was nice meeting you, Link!" she called back, then took off in the direction of the castle.

'I wonder where she's running off to,' Link thought, then shook the girl from his mind. He still had work to do and his mother would worry if he was gone to long.

Oh, by the way, that took place before the announcement of Zelda's engagement, just in case anyone was confused.
