"Oh...." She'd never thought about it that way. She always called people Sir and Miss and it just seemed easier. She'd never been allowed to call anyone anything else actually.

Such a strange little mare... He eyed her once more, brow lofting. "... You don't get out much, do you, lass?"

"Out? I'm out now aren't i?" She didn't know if she'd been kept 'in' anywhere before. Kept yes but in?

"..."
Good, dear, sweet spirits. How had he gotten himself mixed up with this? Hadn't she said that she had a brain? Maybe she was just young... Which could very well be worse than just being naive.
"You don't speak with others often."

"I wasn't allowed to before." her ears flicked slightly before she shook her head to get a bit of dust out of her mane. "Speak when spoken to and don't make a nuisance of yourself ... that's what they told me."

His brow lofted as he thought on that for a moment. He was quite curious as to who these 'they' were... And what else they had taught this odd little mare.
"Now, I agree with that to a certain extent. There are certainly some who should never speak unless they are spoken to... And others who are always nuisances... But you seem to be intelligent enough that you can carry on a conversation without being chastised by a stallion. I am speaking to you, am I not?"

"You are..." Which was still odd in itself since generally stallions wouldn't bother speaking to her. They generally either sneered at her or ignored her presence entirely. "You could be doing so out of a sense of chivilary rather than an true desire to though."

He snorted, trying not to laugh as he shook his head. "Me? Do something out of a sense of chivalry?" At that he did laugh. "I'm afraid not, lass. If it isn't something I would rather not do there is no wan to make me do it. I am rather set in my ways, after all..."

"oh..." She was slightly confused about that last bit but it seemed better not to ask. She always did what everyone else told her to do so not doing so seemed odd to her.
"Have you always been like that?"

"For as long as I can remember I have been." He smirked, stretching out his neck to give the mare's shoulder a nudge. "Loosen up, lass. I don't bite." Something about how quiet she was seemed almost... Unsettling.

"I'm tight?" Was that some sort of slang she hadn't been taught? She didn't think she was tight in any way unless that had something to do with muscles. She had pulled them occasionally but somehow she didn't think that was what he was talking about.

"You might be." He smirked before realizing what she said... And, more importantly, what she said. "Good heavens, lass... Perhaps you should spend a bit more time with Magus, aye? We'll teach you a few things about conversations."

"Did i get something wrong? I'm sorry..." She hadn't meant to mess up the conversation in any way. Maybe she shouldn't speak and then she couldn't mess anything up. "I could not talk .... then i couldn't get conversation wrong."

His brow furrowed slightly as he shook his head. "If you don't speak how will you know? How will you learn? You won't. Some of the most intelligent males and females out there have become such by opening their mouths when others thought that they shouldn't."

"But ... i've always been told not to speak until spoken to and to not use too many words." Which was just what she was doing now and she hung her head slightly. She didn't want him to yell at her.
