"I see." Was Zoma's first response, letting his explanation play out in full. She watched him with interest in her cobalt eyes, then shifted weight between her forepaws.
"Bubbles seemed real happy when I saw him, as happy as a clam so you two didn't seem to do such a bad job ~" Though, happiness to her was one thing and a sign of good upbringing but perhaps really not in the case of Mabozi, who seemed in lala land in reality. Or at least the one side she had seen of him.
"and if you still like Bosslady, you should prove it to her.. and maybe some of the old Bosslady will come back and she'll like you back. That's at least what I think." she giggled, tilting her head to the side with a big grin upon her face.

Tukutu took pause to take another look at Zoma. The things she said...were blunt in a way, but not in a harsh way. They were kind, almost uplifting....and very, very strange to Tukutu. He was used to everything being so harsh, so unforgiving that he had simply took it as normalcy. But now this almost made him double think a few things that he had going on in his life.
But what could he do to change the past? Nothing. And that was where the 'almost' came from. He sighed at himself, frusterated that such an innocent comment could twist his insides so quickly, and so out of no where.
"Aaah," he grunted, waving a paw around in the air. "Ah could try, but ah dun think it'd get me anyw'ere." He'd like to try and get Mafa to like him, but he knew he came off as an idiot, and there was no way he could change that view, that nearly everyone had on him. Neither would she ever think about anyone but herself, and maybe her little stinky heir, too.
"'N 'Bozi's always 'appy, 's just 'ow 'e is." He would never take credit for that thing. Even if a lot of the others seemed to like him, he'd never want to really admit it, even if it was the truth, and sometimes a bit obvious as to who the father was.

Zoma pouted, disappointed that another notch was marked in corner of those who wouldn't follow her simple advice. These other hyena just seemed to take pleasure in making sure and ensuring their lives were as miserable as possible it seemed. "If you're sure..." she sighed sadly, nodding before looking at the ground again, watching as one of her dark paws swept the ground in a single stroke.
She lifted her head, about to make a remark that about his son and his behavior - and how he should maybe take a lesson from him - but decided against it. It probably wasn't her place and even if she did say something, he probably would brush it off all the same. "Well, still gotta stay positive about everything else, huh? Chin up!" She forced a smile upon her face.
Zoma sighed again after a small pause. "Well, I should probably get going .. and such." Force smile still present as she took a few steps past the male, "Have a good day, Mr. Tuku ~"

Tuku? Was that her nickname for him? Well...it was better than other things. He was a grumpy fellow, and she easily could of called him FrownFace or something else horrid. And even if she did, he probably wouldn't of even bothered to tell her to change it. He gave his shoulders a visible shrug.
"We'll see. Ah'll think 'bout it." There, maybe that would make her happy. He did at least know better than to make pack members upset. Because if they left, that would make Mafa upset, and then he would be getting no where.
A good day indeed. He replied initially with a swish of his tail, as if a 'yeah, right' was in order, but thought about it yet again.
"Goin'? Ahh, duties do call. Ah'll see ya 'round, Zoma, 'n take care of y'self, keep from those lions." Weird...why did he say that? He could care less about lions. Oh well.
He flicked his ears, feeling a slight itch as he himself turned away from the happy hyena. He'd chew on what she said, but only in private, as he did with everything.
