Wings of Aegis Quote: but honestly it's probably just to get more publicity for himself. Kinda like ignoring the host's question and simply plugging for his next season an AE? evil LOL, I was reading some stuff on abovetopsecret.com forums last night about Mindfreak (from a few years ago, 2005). Anyway, everyone is trying to explain how Criss does that stuff and they brought up a few interesting points. When he does demonstrations in "public" it's usually against a backdrop or in an area where there are maybe 30 people max around him, then beyond that there is almost no one. Also, whenever they do close ups of reactions it's almost always attractive young women or black men. Then they go on to say that the crowds are all in on it and how some of the stuff has been doctored. If not for Criss' goth/emo look and his teenage fangirls, he'd be a nobody I'm sure. I'm ashamed I ever looked up to the guy.

hey, i think cris angel had a point, and that he is a very entertaining person in the 'how the hell did he do that?' kinda way but all his stunts are explainable.
the other guy( jim ) also blew that a bit out of proportion though. while he made a point of Cris' contradictory behavior, had he realy been able to perform the stunt with 'paranormal help' he could have simply explained it was very energy draining and he needed time to recover.
so i suppose i go to the side of neither since they were just being silly.

Criss didn't even give him the chance to explain at all. And even then, he was saying "Don't say anything about the energies or whatever." They're both full of s**t. LMAO

I dislike both of them. The performer for faking being a medium and Criss, just for being an a*****e. What that guy did was a low level Remote viewing that I could make pretty much everybody in my neighborhood do effectively with about an hours time. I mean, if you're going to get on live TV, atleast have the ability to name the object.
Also, that is a good point. Why does he carry an envelope around with him everywhere? Oh well. I have but one hope. That this show helps the field of parapsychology, not make us look dumber than we already do. Nobody really believes in this stuff anymore, it sucks.

The show isn't doing anything but blurring the lines between what we do and what a common stage magician does. There isn't a single trick I've seen on their that I would dub "supernatural" or "phenomenal". The closest to that was the man that stopped his own heart, but then I'm not entirely sure that wasn't some kind of trick as well. All the other tricks I easily figured out. Hell, in Eran Raven's sunglass trick at the beginning of the show you could see the ******** string, if only for a split second. If anything, this show is just increasing disbelief in anything paranormal. And Jim Callahan's performance wouldn't even require remote viewing to duplicate. I wonder how many of the 100 objects had those three characteristics? And I wonder out of all those 100 what the average person would be most likely to choose? That's how mentalism works. You figure out how people think and learn to predict what they'll do, based on how they are hardwired. Nothing supernatural about it. Example: My current pursuit is learning to legitimately bend a spoon with my willpower. I could easily learn to do a couple of stage tricks that would appear as if I was doing that, possibly being indistinguishable from the real thing; but I don't. I want to do it for real. It doesn't matter to me if other people believe I can do it for real or not because I know I'm doing it for real. And that's why you'll never see someone with legitimate abilities on television.

I dunno if the site is still there, but http://www.fork-you.comShe bends forks! Into art! With the help of her mind! ...They're pretty, at least. As for the show, yeah, they're looking for a stage magician. That's already been established since it seems all Criss talks about on there is "delivery". Only Uri seems to talk about how convincing they are. This show has made me <3 Uri.

And I still have mixed feelings about Uri. Try looking him up on Wikipedia and you'll see what I mean.
