Albireo immediately knew how to react to the icebeam. Not even needing to hear his trainer yell "Let's break through!" from behind him, he charged horn-first at the icebeam, deflecting a majority of it and the rest of the damage being lessened by his ...blubber.
He soon reached the other dewgong and, letting out a loud ear-splitting bark, pointed his horn at her fullspeed ahead.[500/1000] Roll Here

Raina stood and watched the battle... she could keep being the trainer and shouting commands or she could let Ayirwen continue on her own and use her instincts. She decided she would continue aiding her friend... at least for now. "Ayirwen stand your ground, lock horns and use Horn Drill!"Ayirwen had already ducked her head ready to parry Albireo's horn but when she heard the command she immediately made her horn start spinning. She felt Albireo's horn stab into her and it hurt but she couldn't flinch, she had to try to and her attack and flinching would only give him time to retaliate.[400/1000] Roll is HERE

Albireo winced, his determination caused him to continue on and let his horn get battered. Soon, a few chunks of it fell off.
"ICE BEAM!"
Albireo immediately opened his mouth, deciding to take a different route for his attack than his horn. He let out the attack point-blank at Ayirwen's face.[300/1000]

((XDD I sooo did not completely forget we were in the middle of a battle!!! sweatdrop ))
Raina couldn't see what Albireo was doing since Ayirwen was in the way, blocking her vision but she assumed he was attempting to retaliate. "Don't give up Ayirwen!" She called from the sidelines.
Ayirwen had been relentlessly drilling her horn into Albireo's and had broken off some pieces. As she was about to switch tactics she heard his trainer call out an attack... Oh no! She turned her face away, sliding in circles but the icebeam grazed her side as she did so leaving is cold and raw. Despite the pain she managed to think clearly, she was already spinning around... Aqua tail! Her tail started to glow blue as she whipped it around aiming for Albireo's head.

"Lick!" Luna ordered immediately. It was a new attack, but it was definately worth a shot! And hopefully, it might keep Ayirwen still for a few hits.
Albireo stuck out his tongue before being slapped in the face by the tail. It was amazing that he didn't bite his tongue, but thankfully, the strong muscle buffered much of the attack. But it didn't stop there. He brought it upwards, giving Ayirwen's tail a good lick that would hopefully paralyze the other dewgong.

Raina cried out in despair as Albireo used Lick. "NO!" She almost lurched forward to grab Ayirwen but stopped herself remembering they were still in the middle of a battle, one that would end in defeat unless Albireo's next four attacks missed. "It's alright Ayirwen just hang tight and hope for the best!"
Ayirwen's eyes rolled in anxiety as she tried to move, the new attack had caught her off guard. Since when did he have Lick anyway? She made little noises of distress and annoyance that she couldn't move to attack. She'd need a miracle to come out the winner in this battle.

((Crap. Sorry Rian, I forgot that we had a set moveset on the front page, it's because it's been so long and I've gotten use to free moves @___@
If you want, I could edit the post to an ice attack or something?))
"Hurry! While we have the chance!" Luna shouted to her seel, "Headbutt!" And here's where it really started. Could they defeat the pokemon before the effects of the attack wore off? Well, she would just hope for the best as well!
Albireo thrusted himself forward at the other pokemon who was now stiff. Pushing himself faster with his front flippers, he drew closer and closer to Ayirwen. His horn, although battered, looked pretty painful if anything were to come in contact with it.

((Meh, I was kinda like "wth?" when I first saw the attack ya used but... if ya wanna change it ya can if not, oh well >.< I dunno if i could've won anyway the dice hate me))
Raina watched speechless as her pokemon got battered by Albireo. There was nothing she could do it wasn't like she had any paralyze heal. She grimaced as she watched and finally had to look away, she couldn't stand seeing her pokemon being pummelled while she couldn't do anything.
Ayirwen was still desperately trying to move but wasn't able to make even the tiniest bit of progress. She saw the attack coming and knew it would hit, and that it would hurt. When it did make contact she couldn't even let out a cry of pain because even her face was paralyzed.

Luna closed her eyes. She really did not enjoy seeing other pokemon get hurt, but...it was natural in battle. And she did need to keep an eye out for surprises. Then again, wouldn't it be somewhat of animal abuse to see a pokemon get beat up? Well, no time to think about it. They needed to stay on the offensive, and she needed to concentrate. Opening her eyes once more, she ordered an aqua tail to follow up the attack.
Albireo twisted his lean body to bash Ayirwen on the head with his mighty tail. "Rw4r!"

Raina stood watching from the sidelines grimacing as another attack hit Ayirwen. There was nothing she could do except stare and wait for the paralysis to wear off. Hopefully the other pokemon would miss or something so Ayirwen could retaliate after she regained movement. Looking across the stadium she saw that Luna wasn't happy about the predicament either but this was what battling was about, fighting until one or the other fainted.
Ayirwen had gone off to a happy place in her head and didn't even seem to notice anymore as the attack hit her. It was as if she was meditating, concentrating so hard on something that she didn't even know where she was anymore. She knew that if Albireo got another hit in she would lose but her mind was so far away she didn't really feel the pain or anguish she should be.

Albireo jumped backwards a little, expecting the dewgong to attack or come out of her paralyzed state. When he saw nothing happened, he tilted his head curious. But before he could follow his urge to poke it, his trainer's voice rang out, ordering another attack.
The trainer sensed the battle was near its end. Well, might as well give the finishing blow now. "Albireo, let's finish this! Signal beam!"
Albireo barked joyfully. He couldn't EXACTLY tell what his trainer was saying, but he had a feeling that it was about the battle being almost finished. He had to finish this! So he could get FOOD! He charged up three multicolored orbs of light that circled around his horn. Lowering his head towards Ayirwen, he aimed his attack.
The orbs turned into a full fledged beam as they intertwined each other and raced towards the fallen dewgong.

Ayirwen was still off in her own little world, she knew what was coming, she saw it, but she didn't flinch. She'd known she'd lose this battle as soon as she'd been paralyzed. She couldn't move therefore she couldn't defend nor attack. As the beam was coming towards her the paralysis started wearing off and she managed to move enough to make herself look dignified before the beam hit and she was knocked unconcious.
Raina stared at her dewgong in awe, she was about to lose yet somehow she moved just enough to make herself look proud while doing it. Then the beam hit, Raina winced as she pulled out the great ball "Ayirwen, return." she called as the beam enclosed her pokemon and the battle ended. "Great battle" she called.
