His features were becoming more relaxed because as she nodded and gestured it became so much easier for him to forget that no words were being used. Still, things would be nicer if no guessing was involved. Patience was a virtue…Just hold that knowledge tight.
Water and Sky… Sky water… It took Baldev more than a few minutes for him to put the two things together and after awhile it got awkward.. Suddenly a smile began to split across his face, “I am going to guess that your name is.. Rain.” It hadn’t been pretty the amount of time he had spent looking back and forth, but Baldev was fairly certain he was right.
If he knew what she was thinking.. They’d be having a conversation that wasn’t really all that bad. His own heavily curled tail slashed back and forth a few times. “All right now.. Is your name just Rain.. Or is there more or I’m wrong?”]

She smiled and nodded as he guessed 'rain'. He got it on his first try, no one had done that before! Maybe he wasn't that bad. She shook her mohawked mane as she watched him look at the sky and the water. To one it might be comical, she did smile though it was serious for it was how she communicated. It was like scherades.
Her eyes widened when he asked his next question their was more, so she nodded. But how could she describe the sound 'ah'. She tried making the sound but it camed in a hushed whisper. If strained ears listened perhaps one could hear it. She watched his blue eyes, getting entranced in them before looking away. If one could see it beneath her grey pelt she would have been blushing.

Baldev was in a good mood… with himself. His mind had actually decided to function and though it had taken time the guess was correct. So her name was Rain.. or they’d be moving onto whatever he would have to guess. Hopefully it wouldn’t be that hard to figure out. “Well, I believe I’m feeling smarter… for awhile I thought of saying your name was Hail.”
Oh-kay.. so more to her name than just Rain. His concentration was set and Baldev continued to look at her with a lazy sort of contented way. He wasn’t going any where and time would only tell what it was. “You’re mouthing something… Is it a letter or a vowel.. like e or a or “u” That’d be the first thing to ask, since lip reading wasn’t much of a forte of his.

The female stood their swaying her tail eagerly, perhaps she was enjoying the guessing game more than he. She used to be the one who would be irritated when others weren't guessing correctly or didn't get it on the first try. Patience really was a virtue.
She smiled at the name 'Hail' she had been dubbed 'Swift' by her foal friend Chandar because she was as fast as lightning when running. She liked that name. But it didn't change the fact she still adored her true one. She nodded once, to where she was mouthing something and smiled, nodding again when it was a vowel though a different sound. 'A', 'E', 'I', 'O', 'U'. The 'A' would have to do but it wouldn't be completely correct when pronounced.

His own lion’s tail was moving back and forth occasionally, he really was trying not to get impatient. After all, most of what was said between two people wasn’t needed. It was just a rather new thing for him to get used.. Really it was. Patience, old boy.
Okay.. So she had nodded her agreement that it was a vowel. “All right Miss Rain-something… I am going to go through each of the vowels and when I get to the right one I’ll have you stop me, agreed?” He didn’t really wait for her agreement because impatience made him read to move on. The first one he started with didn’t make any sense at all… “Is your name RainI? Like.. It’s Rainy outside?” lord he hoped not.. She didn’t seem rainy to him at all.

The femme smiled as he didn't wait for her reply, Rainy? Ick. Even she did not like that name. She felt sorry for whatever soul got that name. Her lavendar eyes watched him as she shook her head no.
Nope, five more to go she thought to herself. She started looking to his hair as he talked it was so damned long! She wondered if he liked it or thought of it as a hassle. Her hair simply wouldn't grow. She wondered what she'd look like if she had long hair. It would be interesting no doubt. Her ears flickered forward waiting for his next guess.

The look on her face was more than answer enough that “Rainy” was definitely not it, but his confirmation was a nod. “Oh-kay, so it is not Rainy.. Well, I guess I’ll do another that doesn’t make much sense.”
A slight grin crossed his face, “How about Raino. And don’t look to me for an explanation.. It’s your name you’ll have to tell me why it would be that.” Certainly not a feminine name in the least “Raino” His eyes crossed and a tongue was stuck out. That would do for his opinion of being named that. This game was beginning to grow on him just a bit.

Raina wrinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out at him, shaking her head once more. Who has a name like Raino? Her brows furrowed wondering, Rainy and Raino....vowels tended to suck at the end of names she was starting to realize, or at least her name. Made her more the unique. Two down, she was starting to get excited from the anticipation from such a silly thing.

Baldev felt the urge to chuckle as the mare obviously was not named Raino, nor did she feel much love towards any particular person cursed to bear tht name. His smile became a bit more prominent thinking that there were so few letters left to choose from. The name, “Raina” was floating around, but he’d rather enjoy the game and save that guess for last.
Even if she decided he was as dense as most rocks.
“All right, I have yet to get it right.. But what about just Raine, with an “e” on the end. It doesn’t add much except that some people are particular about spelling.”

She shook her head...nope, he wasn't dense as a rock. Perhaps a boulder. He was enjoying this to much. But if he liked guessing, and being wrong than have at it. Rainy, Raino, Raine...Rainu was probably next. She rolled her eyes or Raini, then maybe the oaf would guess Raina. Though he wasn't an oaf, she was just poking fun of him in her mind cause she thought it to be amusing because he seemed to be everything but imperfection.

Baldev managed to make it look like he was sad that he’d guessed wrong before grinning once again. Lord, this game amused him. She wasn’t his type because of the not talking thing, but if she was a fair sport about this… Truth was he didn’t really have any friends here. There was so many Soquilis but so few unicorns for him to feel at home with. Harij had told him long ago that one day he’d have to get over his snobbery. Was that was this meant.
“It appears, miss Rain-something, I am destined to fail… but I shall try to make a guess that’s more educated this time… Might you perhaps be called Raina?”

She smiled very largely and shook her head. Her lavendar eyes seemed to have a distant sparkle in them. Her ears perked forward as she edged a few steps closer to him. Her head tilted at him as she watched him. She wondered what he'd do. What would he say? He was so peculiar.
She wanted to play in the water right now. She felt...playful. She hadn't felt like this in a long time. She wanted to be silly and feel just a little bit crazy buy not enough to be insanity. He was so odd, the look in his eyes it made her feel odd.
She whickered softly, wondering what his personality was like.
