its because she is a sheld, so to say, but only against mentel attacks that is her vampire ability

Edward loves her very much but thats not why he cant read her mind... Its not just him its Jane, Alec, Aro, Demetri, everyone that has a mind power (except Alice and Jasper) If it was just from love they whouldnt be blocked out... You see? Its Bellas vampire ability. She has a sheild around her mind to block mind abilitys out.... and if u read Breaking Dawn as much as me (about 30 times) u whould already know that

maybe she's different form everyone else. Everyone is special in their own way so I guess Bella is special because most vampire powers don't work on her. Or its her blood that makes most vampire's powers don't work on her because when she was human Most vampires said that bella smelt good and mouth watering. this is just a theory. (and that is why in Breaking Dawn when she turn s into a vampire her power is a shield)
