Ryega nodded and remained against the wall. His temper was growing as the daunting thought of Sukari around made him want to jump out and attack her. However, that would prove nothing more than that he had become very much like her in a sense. He had become more bitter, less social. . . In fact, it seemed that Fenris was the only one he could talk to anymore.
The wild dog paused and listened to the faint pitter patter of the footsteps in water... or was it land, he could not quite tell with this noisy waterfall.
"I don't care, we're going. Come on."
He pushed to his feet and sprinted out, knowing that Fenris could easily catch up.

With that reaction, Fenris' mind was made up. He bolted after the wild dog quietly, trying not to make a sound in case his mother had circled back around. He couldn't hear, see, or smell her, though, so he truly doubted she was about. "To the mountains!" Fen said when he caught up. Things were working out. He was away from his mother and so was Ryega. The green and black cheeton trotted merrily beside his crimson friend as they headed towards adventures unknown.
