We have lots of anorexic girls at my school. D: I find being on the skinny side is a downfall, and I'm not either, I'm in the middle, size 11-13. Those skinny bitches will DiE of just about anything. Seriously. Any disease ravages the body, and skinny people usually are skinny 'cause they don't eat enough. And when you don't eat, you don't have vitamins or any other helpful substance. Plus, they'd starve sooner than the rest of us! WE WOULD INHERIT THE WORLD! -maniacal laughter- The only downside is that zombies wouldn't be delayed much by the annoying skinny b***h you throw towards them. D:

When I weighed more a few years ago, I found some cute things to wear on Alloy.com. Hmm...

I think I just had to spend lots of time shopping around and trying on different things! It's kind of difficult to find stylish plus size clothes sometimes.

My advice? Sewing machine. Designing your clothes is so much fun. <3
do you have any advice for getting a good quality/low cost one? I would like to get one but A) i don't know how to sew and B) every machine I have ever tried to learn on was F***ed up plus I'm not exactly rich...(ok I'm a poor broke baka crying )

If you're serious about purchasing a sewing machine, I would buy one sometime during the holiday season while they are on sale. The day after Thanksgiving is a pretty good sale day, if you're an American and if you have the time to wait in long lines. Other options include eBay and garage sales.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say the machines were '******** up.' Maybe the settings needed to be adjusted slightly, and that is something you can probably teach yourself how to do, right?

Good luck! :3
the tension was all messed up.....at least that was what my mom and grandma said.....also the needles kept breaking.

Haha. Okay, so.
I found something funny.
I wear size Medium-Large,
I am a size 13.
5'11''

I was shopping on this site for Harajuku clothing on Ebay.
and I read the size charts for pants and such.
and apparently in Japan I would be considered an XXXL.

Ha, well isn't that a slap in the face.
XD

Isn't it horrible? It's one of the hardest thing to be a foreign female in Japan, because clothes just... aren't your size, ever, unless you fit a size 00-5. Being a 7 places you in an area where clothing starts stretching it into the X's depending on the brand. Then again, it isn't unnatural in countries where the majority of people are naturally skinny.

My mom calls me fat and I'm a size 7 Dx

Himekuro, in no way is a size 7 fat. My mother is the same, exact way. I used to be a 3, and as I got older, I gained weight and am now a size 9, and she reminds me everyday of ow "fat" I've gotten. Don't you dare listen heart

Anyway, in the topic of sewing machines, I'd agree going with a sale is the best way of going about getting a new one. But when it comes to the realm of sewing machines, you get what you pay for. If you go for a machine that's "on sale/special price" without it being on sale, then you're going to be buying a crap trap that's going to give you more trouble than it's worth. Stick with brand names; I use Singer and Kenmore.

Past that, since you're not rich like me ( 4laugh ) sign up for coupons with your local fabrc store; if you don't get coupons for fabric, then you save on notions frequently. I would also invest in a dress form in your size which you can find on eBay if you search well.

For your very first project, buy many yards of muslin (of whatever weight you want it to be) and fashion an entire outfit using just muslin with a dark or colorful thread. This way, you get your practice without ruining expensive fabric, you can see where your mistakes are, you get to practice with your new machine and you get to sharpen your designer's eye! heart

I really hope you start sewing soon. I would love to see what kind of Decora you'd turn out! heart

WEll, everyone's different. I personally am only a size 0, but that's because I was born this way and I'm only 13. My advise: each and everyone of us is beautiful in our own specail way. I hate people who think they're ugly, fat, too skinny, etc. because they don't realise how pretty they are. Clothing wise, if you can't find Asian clothes in your size, wear clothes that actually fit and add a bizzion accessories! You can even mess up your pretty white shirt by dying it a gazillion colors of panting your old jeans with fabric paint or something to make them look pretty.

We're still young and we should enjoy it, unless you wanna be a shapeless waling stick EAT! Food IS your friend

I think the human body is beautiful. We are all differnt and we should love ourselves for it. You spend your time worrying how big you are, as long as your healthy, thats all that should matter.

At my school we have a special early gym for kids who have disabilities or the preggers girls. But alot of the overwieght kids in my school take it because its alot less violent then regular gym [I wish I could x_X] But at the begining of the year they make you fill out these packets about yourself. And one of the questions was exactly written as How will you deal with being more attractive if you lose so many pounds this year? And How will you deal with your more positive social life?
Naturally everyone was up in arms about it but the priciples kept saying we were taking it out of context. How else are we suppose to interpet it?
