He sighed, looking ahead as he listened to her. One may have thought that he wasn't paying attention to her, but, really, his mind was glued to her. With super glue, to be exact! It was like two fingers glued together with the stuff. He'd let go eventually, but not without the fight of his life. And once he'd let go, it hurt like hell, and he'd probaly remove some skin, too. He nodded, "Exactly." He said, "It's like a seperate world down there...everything is so alien and strange, yet so beautiful." He sighed, steam billowing around him, "Sometimes, I think it'd be better to live down there then up here. Everything is in harmony, and here, it sometimes feels like chaos. Though, I'm sure those who live in the sea feel the same way about their world. The grass is greener on the other side, no matter where you stand."
He smiled as he saw the cliff, thinking it was a nice place to watch the sunset, even though it was treacherous. Though, Jonas never was one for pristine beaches. He walked pass Lisa and stood on the very edge, peering down to the rough waters below. The wind from up there tossed his hair wildly, and his scarf flapped up and down behind him. He sighed appreciatively for the waves, before going back and sitting next to Lisa.
He laughed, "Yes, it was." He said, "I didn't want to tell you though. It was too cute." He grinned with mock flirtatiousness and sighed, his eyes flicking back to the sea, the light turing his grey eyes into a dull yellow as he stared into the sun.

"Good thing that cliff was stable," Lisa said idly as Jonas sat beside her. "You might have gone tumbling to your death into our tumultuous muse." Her voice had regained its nearly disinterested nonchalant quality, but a wry grin tugged at her cheeks. "I didn't want to tell you though. It would have been too cute." Aforementioned grin had grown so that the points of her teeth were visible. It was in no way threatening, though perhaps a bit unsettling. She was kidding, of course.
Lisa also looked up over the cliff's edge and towards the sun, taking in the different lights dancing a top the water. Sitting there with the male was so tranquil she forgot momentarily what she had come here for. A white, indigo banded paw pushed the flap of the satchel open and dug around inside, working out a sketchpad for watercolors, the troublesome tape, and an unusual looking instrument. It was a graphite holder and appeared to be custom made. That is to say, it was jury-rigged with masking tape from another holder. With a motion that had taken ages to get the hang of, Lisa worked the instrument between the toes of her forepaw so that she held it as if a human would hold a pencil between their knuckles. As the Namir busied herself with this, a strong desire to turn and face Jonas washed over her.
"Do you really think," Lisa spoke but did not look away from her paper as a compromise to herself, "it's chaotic here? Or rather, that chaos should be regarded as unpleasant? I mean, of course it would be, but..." She trailed off, a little tinge of pain to her voice. "I dunno..." She sighed, sounding a little defeated. Funny how philosophical trains of thought can do that to you. "Harmony is better than chaos, but chaos is better than nothing, I guess that's what I was trying to say…"

Jonas frowned, gulping nervously and staring almost horrified at the sea. He definantly didn't want to die. Though, drowning wouldn't be too bad. He'd always wondered what it felt like to inhale water, though the fact that he'd bloat up was indeed disturbing. He grinned at the last part of Lisa's sentence, "Well, that makes me feel loved." He said, focusing on the points of her teeth.
The orage-ish glow of the sun bathed Jonas' skin, making it almost glow, turning it smoothe and gentle. His eyes too took on a different appearence. The grey picked up anything, and as he looked to the orange sky, they too looked orange. He smiled, "From the time the sun begins to set to the time it's gone...it's called Twilight, and in that light, we are all pure and gentle." He sighed, looking over to her and blushing, thinking she looked awfully beautiful in the sun's light. He sighed, watching her take out her art supplies, including the graphite holder. He was so amazed, always wanting to see how she managed to draw so well without thumps. He smiled, "You certainly are unique, Lisa. I'm amazed at your technique." He said, his voice sounding like he was trnasfixed on her. He was, actually, so transfixed that he missed her little speech about chaos and harmony. He looked back into the sunset, blushing and feeling an inexcapable urge to do something that would definantly detirmin whether the two were friends or...more. He sighed, knowing that once he'd done it, he'd feel better. He leaned over, and kissed Lisa gently on the cheek. He then scooted back, staring nervously into the sea. "Uhm...Lisa...you want me to sing for you, right?" He said, his tone rigid and his cheeks quickly turning a bright red.

Lisa had started to sketch an aerial view of the cliff, trees, and ocean over a blank page in the sketchbook. She was just about to turn and thank Jonas for the compliment when she felt something warm and soft suddenly pressing into her cheek. A jolt of surprise coursed through her at the realization of what exactly Jonas was doing and directly after that little epiphany her brain ceased all intelligible function. There was a pleasant momentary swirling of sensations throughout her body, but just as quickly as she had become intoxicated by the unexpected sign of affection, it flooded out of her and Lisa snapped back to reality. She took a quick little breath, apparently one she had unintentionally held, and let it out in something that sounded suspiciously like a relieved laugh. A smile that she wasn't aware was there tugged away at her face.
"Yes!" She piped quickly in response to his question, perhaps a little more cheerily than she had intended to. She set her graphite holder down next to the (now ignored) sketchbook and turned herself about to face Jonas more properly. Her white fur was becoming increasingly orange in the setting sun's light and her shadow was turning deep pink, but her eyes remained as green as ever. Through them she could see that Jonas was as red as she felt, even if some of it was a trick of light. "Uhm, I mean, yes," Lisa repeated more calmly, but still clearly excited. "I would really like for you to sing for me."

Jonas stared as he pulled back, hopefully watching her expression. He didn't want to be slapped or anything, which females sometimes did. Though, suddenly, he remembered the conversation he had with Kyandi. She said something like, "Don't worry, if you make any moves, I'm sure they'll be appreciated." The blond blushed, his ears falling back and his tail wrapping around himself. "I'm sorry...!" He said, his tone nervous and shy. "You're just...really pretty...and I really really like you...! And...I'm sorry...!" He looked over to her as she sighed, his brow furrowed. A smile slid across his face as he saw hers, and he sighed too.
He blinked, his smile turning into a bashful one, and he ran through a list of songs in his head, "Hmmm..." He sighed, as he came to a choice, "You're ready, right?" He asked, though, he didn't wait for an answer and began belting out a song to the best of his ability;
"Farah now that we're here
can you tell me exatly how I should have done?
Farah drives with her eyes closed
do you ever inflict unwanted memories?

I know you and I know it won't take you long to make me smile"

As he sang, he gazed upon Lisa, hoping she caught the hint that 'Farah' was supposed to be her. He smiled, blushing and closing his eyes as he sang the next part,

"Farah angelic girl
I'll have you know it's you and me potentially
Farah don't pull the carpet from under me
indifference is killing me!

Am I wry?
On my! Fallacy! Fallacy in my words!
Am I wry?

I know you and I know you're not afraid to say the least

Diamond ring
Diamond ring
but you can't find it cold is the night"

It was oddly flattering for Lisa to see Jonas so nervous over her, and him saying she was pretty was almost too much. Her smile persisted with no thought of dimming it down as he sang, enamored with the fine quality of his voice, her tail swaying unconsciously to the rhythm. She indeed picked up on the notion that the girl in the song was supposed to personify her, with all the context clues it would have been hard to miss. Had Lisa been a weaker female, she may very well have pounced on him half way through the song. However, a respectable girl such as herself had a wee bit more restraint than that. She would wait until he was done singing to do any sort of pouncing.
As the song drew to a close, without a change in her dreamy expression, Lisa stood up on all fours and stepped towards Jonas, leaning herself against him slightly as she sat again. "You sing divinely, Jonas." She said, nuzzling him slightly while looking forward out onto the sunset. It was almost perfect now, the colors preparing to converge in a way that would light the sky, land, and sea on fire despite the cool brisk winds that moved restlessly over their precarious outcropping. "You know," Lisa said with what could be described as an airy, nearly nervous giggle, "I have the strangest feeling of comfort around you. I suppose it's what's making me bold enough to behave this way. I... I really like it. I mean, I really like you, too, Jonas... a lot."
