"The gods work in mysterious ways. If this is where your journey has led you, then you're more than welcomed to call our pride home." Johari smiled softly. "You're both welcomed to stay, but I should warn." And here her expression shifted, becoming a bit more serious. "We've yet to reclaim the temple itself, there's a fight to be had still, a war against the vultures that have taken over. They're holding some of our own hostage inside, and before we can actually make home we have to drive them out. Do you still wish to stay, and help us with our cause...?"

Horus did his very best to ignore the pup, inwardly grumbling about how disrespectful such a nickname was. Sure, he might have the skills needed to be a spy (what skills does he think he lacks?), but she didn't need to keep calling him one! As the trio of four-leggeds spoke of a pride, and his companion had requested to tag along. Much to Horus' surprise, his request had been accepted. The bird took to the sky, if only by a couple of feet, and perched upon the dark lion's mane once more.
It wasn't the answer he had expected, really. His hopes had risen for a second, as Ziwa had enthusiastically welcomed them, though lessened as Sphinx also realized that a pup had no say in who could join the pride. To Johari's words, a smile crossed Sphinx's maw. This was it? They'd finally found a pride? Johari spoke of a warning, and his smile faded. He had been afraid of something much worse than what she did speak of, though he knew that anything in large numbers could be dangerous. There wasn't more than a seconds' hesitation, before the lion gave a nod. "I will do whatever you wish, Johari." He confirmed, lowering his head a bit, respectfully. "I will do anything, to repay you for welcoming us."
