Suna nodded in response to Katsu's comment; her ears turned back a little to listen to Shino's reply better. "Well, sort of," she responded. "But we are not an official tribe yet. There's a small group of us that have found each other across the desert and have started to accumulate together. We hand out at this small oasis that provides much-needed shade and water."
Pretty soon the three started to come around an area that had some grass here and there. "Well, this is a good indicator that we are heading the right way," she remarked, looking at the grass and continuing onward. "How long had you two been lost before winding up in the desert?"

Katsu listened with interest as Suna spoke, then glanced around, noticing the small clumps of grass around the area. "Mmhm." He muttered with a smile, glad that they were on their way back to familiar grounds.
"Luckily, only a few hours since early this afternoon, but that was only because someone wanted to go chase after a lizard that had spotted. Father had instructed that I keep an eye on Katsu." Shino explained, giving a sharp glance over to Katsu then looking back over at Suna.

Suna smirked again at this comment. "Well, if you ever end up in the desert again, don't go chasing after any horned lizards. You'll get a lovely little surprise if you do." She tried to keep from grinning as she imagined the scenario.

Shino gave a slim smirk at what Suna said about the horned lizards, bringing up a picture of what could happen as they walked. "Now wouldn't that be fun?" He said with a small 'Hmph', then looked over at Katsu for his reaction.
Katsu's eyes widened slightly at what the sand vixen said, tail halting in it's swaying as he imagined what could of happened if that had been the situation with him and the lizard from earlier that afternoon. He gave a shake of his head, then noticed that Shino was looking over at him, making him flick his ears back.

Suna glanced over her shoulder to see that Katsu had momentarily paused as his imagination got the better of him. "Oi, better hurry up back there. I think I see one coming after you right now," she called, trying to keep a straight face so that he wouldn't know she was kidding.
(Hmm, what exactly should we have happen to spice things up exactly?)

Shino gave a grin on the inside at what Suna said, tail going straight as he acted. "She's right you know, they'll be coming after you sooner or later." He said with a raised brow, looking back at Katsu and giving a scared look.
Katsu gave an 'Ech!' at what the two of them said, hair raising on his neck as he sped up after them, ears swiveling back at the thought of the lizards. "I hate lizards."

( Horned lizard.) "Faster, they're putting on a chase!" Suna said with a grin, starting to run a little herself to get the two to speed up. It would be funny to see just how fast they could egg him on. "Don't let it bite ya on the tail!"(I'd say a sand storm, but we're practically out of the desert by now, lol. Earthquake maybe?)

Shino smirked, noticing as Suna had started to pick up speed, following after her in a dash. He glanced back at Katsu, seeing him advancing right after him with a horrified look on his face, making Shino give a soft laugh. "Pick it up! They'll be on you fast if you don't hurry up!"
Katsu gave a 'Yip!' at what Suna said, running after her and Shino with tail tucked in to keep it from getting 'bitten'. "How much farther?!" He asked, giving a worried look over at Suna as they continued to run.

Suna hadn't had this much fun... ever. "Not much! We just gotta get into the-" but the kitsune was cut off as suddenly the ground began to rumble below them. The shaking threw her off balance and she fell, skidding to a halt but a few hundred feet from the edge of the forest. It was a good thing she did too, because some of the trees were starting to look rather unstable. "On second thought, let's get away from the forest," she replied, attempting to get up and letting out a small 'eep' as she spotted as large crack in the earth coming towards them. "Nigoro!!!!!!!!!!!" (Run!!!!!!!!!!)

Shino's ears perked up in alarm as the ground started to shake, extending his claws out to grip at the ground to keep himself from flipping over when he came to a halt, then turned around and started off after Suna to retreat. "Hurry up!"
Katsu gave an 'Urk!' as the ground started to rumble and shake, immediately turning around and speeding off after Suna and Shino, fur now pricked up in alarm. First the lizards and now this!

Suna was having a really hard time keeping her balance between the shaking and the loose sand. Fortunately though the three managed to avoid some of the falling trees. The tremors soon dissipated as quickly as they had come, leaving the three panting as adrenaline surged through their veins. "Well, I'd go back to leading you guys to your tribe, but I don't know if there will be any after-shocks," she commented after a few minutes of silence. "Think we should just wait out here for an hour or so? Falling trees seem more hazardous to me than splitting earth."

Shino gave a nod of agreement, panting lightly now that they had came to a halt, tail flicking. "And we should make sure not to break or twist an ankle as well, that would ruin our plans." He said with a sigh, looking back towards the direction of the forest, faintly spotting cracked open earth and askew trees. I suppose we should stay around here for now, don't want to risk anyone getting hurt."
Katsu nodded, giving a shake to get all of the sand that had scattered around off of his fur, then giving a flick of his tail. His tongue lolled out of the corner of his mouth slightly, panting lightly just as his brother was.

Suna hadn't really noticed until after Shino had something, but all of the falls and trips weren't exactly 'soft'. She would be fine nonetheless though, just a little banged up. "Do you guys get earthquakes often around here?" she asked, trying to engage them in conversation.

"Occasionally, but they're usually just the regular old small shakes." Katsu said, sitting down and giving a nod at her question. He then turned to look over at Shino as he spoke up, ears perked up.
"So it must be one of those random tremors then." Shino commented, sitting down with his tail curled around his feet. "So, the both of you weren't killed from that, right?" He questioned jokingly, raising a brow and giving a slim smile.

The three sat around and chatted for about an hour, experiencing a few small aftershock here and there. Eventually, Suna felt that it was safe to continue onward and proceeded to lead them to the forest. "Alright, I must own that I've never actually been to your tribe's grounds, so I can't really lead you there," she said as they made their way over, under, and through various fallen trees. "Think you guys can make it back home from here?"
