The pale coloured female watched him closely as he spoke, what he spoke of, uncles, cubs, friends, the pride...it was all foreign to her yet she was hooked on every word. It was strange to her, everything was, but it enthralled her at the same time as she listened to his words while admiring his sun kissed golden pelt that adorned the black, tribal markings she'd never seen on anyone before. He was a very good looking male and she found herself smiling just that little more as she met with his ruby red eyes, until she realised she was staring and cleared her throat slightly.
'Oh my.' She thought. 'That was really rude of me, wasn't it? I hope he dosen't mind.'
And she shook herself slightly before she was asked another question, friends? She paused for a moment before shaking her head in a silent no.
"Well, not really, my family wanders you see so we don't stay too often...and other than that you're really the first person my age I've ever met."

The golden juvenile-adolescent male smiled softly when he caught only a glimpse of her looking at him. One cannot see without being seen herself, that was how the world worked. It would be impossible to see one without the slightest possibility without seeing the other. He smiled and gave a slight purr to show his happiness and comfortable position; next to a female such as her. Ezeoha had said that if he met a beautiful female, he was a good boy. If was able to talk to her and have her stick around, he was lucky. If he was able to make her his friend or even more, mate, or reappearing company... well, that is something not to be said but it was good, better even. Being beside, Hidaya... he felt lucky.
But what surprised him was that she shook her head! She said no! His eyes grew wide with surprise that such a female did not have a friend! Understandable that she traveled with her family, but not one that traveled as well? If he could himself, he would travel with her to the border at least!
The male's expression grew soft as he nudged her softly.
"Calling me your friend, Hidaya... means a lot," his fur was a hint of red, but barely so that it just seemed a darker gold. His uncle was right, being a friend with a beautiful female was more than lucky that the feeling was unexplainable. He was happy, excited, but nervous and yet content. "Because your family wanders a lot, I hope you try to make more friends. I would gladly travel with you next time your family decides to leave the Pride Lands but I can only go so far without an adult of the pride with me..."
He really wanted to make her feel happy, happy to have him as a friend and he would never dare have her regret that. that fell solely upon his actions.
He could not really hold back much longer as he had gone all day without doing so... he casually reached up to the back of his neck and scratched the bristle like fur idly as if it was a nervous gesture. The fur there was starting to become distorted in color, darker shade like his tail but it was so itchy! All of his uncles have told him not to scratch it, but he could not help it. It took him many cycles before he stopped trying to fix the two strands of long fur that were fixed on his head that would never go away. He ignored it now, but it sometimes gave him a cubbish impression.
"It's gonna get late soon, do you want me to escort you back to your parents?" Escort, not walk, escort.

Hidaya blushed once more, this time it showed as her cheeks became a slightly darker shade of pink before looking down bashfully at the waters as he spoke, she will hopefully have friends...and soon she'd be old enough to leave home and make more. But right now she was more interested in the company she had right now, her blue eyes raising once more to glance into his once more as he asked if he could escort her back to her home...well...this was certainly a suprise to say the least. And she smiled a little more at him, eyes shining with delight as she watched him.
"I'd be honoured." She said sweetly, moving up to her feet before she took another quick drink before turning towards the direction of home, stopping a foot away from him to turn and watch him closely.

Zeki’s cheeks were a darker hue of gold, a mixture of a gold – bronze texture. His eyes were as colorful and vibrant as ever, looking into hers felt rather strange, a good strange. He watched her as she looked down at the water as if she wanted a distraction or to think while he was talking. She seemed like such a sweet girl, he could see her as a beautiful female when she was older, males following that wonderful voice.
Future, it was only a matter of time before they grow up, find their prefect mates, start a family, and live a happy life. However, now, it was time to live in the present. If one always looked forward to the future, they will miss the things happening in the present. Eyes met again when he had offered to escort her back home. She seemed…. Surprised. But the smile comforted him.
“The pleasure is mine, I’m sure,” he replied. The male waited for her to move up and onward. When she had stopped, waiting for him to follow, it was his cue to get up. Zeki stopped by her side, dipped himself slightly and extended an outstretched paw.
“Ladies first.”

Hidaya had never thought of finding a mate, it never really crossed her mind that it was important to do so and she smiled at him as she took the lead, giggling a little at the gesture he pulled for her to move. He was a really nice guy, she could see that plain as daylight...which was at this minute slowly diminishing from the sky with the setting sun.
There was a spring in her step as they wandered over the plains together, smiling as the sky turned different colours and hues.
"I love sunsets." She said happily. "They're so beautiful, don't you think?" She asked him, turning her head to look back at him curiously.

He could not help but watch her walk along, she seemed to almost bounce with heavy step and her hair, or mane, what have you, bounced with her. He chuckled as he strode beside her, tall and strong as ever. He was proud to be walking beside such a beautiful girl and to be considered her friend! Well, that was a treat and a secret he'll keep inside for now.
The sun was surely setting as twilight neared, so did the dusk and the night. Though he may be late getting back, he had a perfectly legitament reason. Knowing his Uncle, he will excuse it. At least he hope so.
"The sun is what brings our Pride Lands to life, giving the light to the grass. The Antelope eat the grass. We eat the antelope. We die. And we return to the earth. The Circle of Life is never ending and the sun helps it. It's amazing how it can disappear so suddenly, but not one without a show such as this," he purred, admiring the sky as it changed colors from blue, purple, pink, yellow, and orange. It was a beautiful sight to share.

The female watched the colours cascade over the sky and change, before turning to look at him as she walked with him back home. His words fascinated her and she drew a little closer till her shoulder bumped his accidentaly, giggling a little at that before she cocked her head at him curiously.
"I don't think I've ever heard of the Circle of Life...but it sounds like it keeps us all in balance." She said softly, soft blue eyes watching him before she turned back to the horizon as the sky began to turn indigo, a cascade of dark blue velvet that slowly brought out the stars.

"It is the foundation that the Great King Mohatu put into place, the belief of us Pride Landers. Everything goes in a circle to keep us in balance and in tune with everything. We only take what we need to take and nothing more, that was what I was told," he added. The Circle of Life was all he knew about the Pride Lander's laws and beliefs. How everything worked under its cycle and how he must follow it faithfully. After all, it did make sense.
Zeki smiled, brushing back against her rather playfully, giving off a soft, low purr. His fur was turning a tinge of red by now, finally showing through his fur. He could not help but blush next to such a wonderful and kind girl. He was glad that he got to meet her for she was a prime example of a good female, friend, and possible a mate in the future to a lucky male.
"The stars are coming out."

Hidaya nodded at his words, looking at the sky before her eyes wandered back to him as he brushed back against her shoulder playfully and gave a playful, girlish giggle at his purr. He was excedingly fun and she enjoyed his company immensly, even though they'd met but a few long minutes ago. And it was only as he spoke of the stars did she take her eyes from him, her white tipped ears perking forward as she looked up at them.
"They're beautiful..." She said softly, her blue eyes sparkling against the light of the slowly rising moon that painted the scene with a pale white, almost blue glow and making her smile more so.
The night was a beautiful time and she enjoyed it immensly as more spring came into her step, humming softly to herself as she walked with her escort back home.

Zeki smiled softly as he watched her. That hum, it was like her singing but her presence was what made him happy. It felt odd walking beside her, but the touch made it feel much more friendly than walking apart. He saw no harm in it, it did not seem wrong. With another purr, he walked a little closer to the female, looking up into the sky as the moonlight poured over the land and them. The night was always beautiful, the stars twinkle and blaze in the sky as the moon lit the land with its rays.
"As are you, Hidaya, I believe I have told you that before," he chuckled, turning his eyes back to the sky. "Almost as the stars themselves."
The night was indeed beautiful and the girl he was with was even more so, how could he not enjoy himself? He continueously let out a soft purr from deep inside, low enough to hear her hum.

She watched him as he walked along side her, the darkness closing in as the night grew deeper and she lead him towards her families den...she liked this escort idea. And as he commented her beauty, her eyes widened slightly and she smiled before looking away bashfully.
"Thank you, 'Zeki." She replied sweetly, watching him as she moved towards the trees that held her families den somewhere deep inside and she stepped forward before turning towards him. She knew the rest of the way there...besides...his family would be missing him right now.
"I suppose this is where we part ways, huh?"

Zeki chuckled and smiled in return, his own blush running through his cheeks. He liked looking at her when she was looking at the stars, her eyes reflecting the lights and stars. The male smiled rather cheepishly. She was really cute... and beautiful... so this was how Ezeoha felt like when he was a female... he would assume. He liked this feeling. A lot.
Zeki stopped as she thanked him and told him that it was time to part ways. He looked around to see the tree line and the area around him. So this is where she lived. Isolated and secretive... interesting and somewhat romantic. He'll have to remember this place...
"I wish I didn't have to, Hidaya. If I could, I would like to spend some more time with you, it's more fun to be with friends."

Hidaya couldn't help but feel her heart beat slightly faster at the sight of her new friend, looking so gaunt and noble in the light of the moon as she just stood there and smiled sweetly at him. His words were touching and her ears flattened against her skull bashfully once more, she was a shy little thing wasn't she? Even if she was his friend, she still couldn't help but feel a little shy in the presence of his kind, lovely words.
She then sighed softly before nodding towards him, she had to agree, being with him as a friend was much more fun than being alone and she smiled at him sweetly
"Well, maybe we'll meet up with each other some day." She said happily before she did something she'd never done before. She leaned forward and gently licked over Zeki's cheek, she licked her daddy's cheek that way as thanks for food...a little kiss that's all, this was simply her thanks to him for being her new friend and escorting her home.
The young cheeton then stepped back and looked towards him over her shoulder as she turned towards the jungle. A happy smile upon her maw as she stood there for a few seconds.
"Thanks for being my friend, Zeki." She said softly before moving off through the trees, still watching him to see how he'd react and such and too hear if he'd say goodbye himself before she ran off home.

Zeki stood rather dumbfounded from the sudden action. Never before had a female actually 'kissed' him like that; not even his mother for that matter. The only licks he got were from bathing... the sensation was shocking, content, happy, surprised, and thrilling. It was rather hard to describe as waves of heat consumed his face, blood rushing to his head. He blushed very very deeply. He casually put a paw on his cheek and gave a sheepish chuckle before she started off to go home.
"I'll be waiting for the day we do, Hidaya. I would love to spend some more time with you," he murmured back, hoping that he heard him. He did want to spend more time with her, in his mind played some situations that they could do; go out hunting together, bathing together, lying under the stars... intimate things, but they seemed rather... appropriate. He gave another chuckle.
He darted up to her, gave her a quick nuzzle and lick, purring for her.
"Thank you for letting me meet you," he smiled. "Good-bye, Hidaya. I hope we meet again soon."
With those last words, he started back home. His heart hopping that soon came sooner.
