She seemed to be about his age, but the wariness she displayed as she edged nearer to him showed she had a lot of experience dealing with random people holding knives.

She laughed at his unsure approach to the situation, but before he could say more she turned around and began walking down a long corridor; Roy shrugged but decided to follow the girl out of sheer curiosity.

Roy was suspicious of her suggestion, but against his better judgement, he slide his knife back into its holder; without really thinking about it he continued to follow the girl deeper and deeper into the cave.

The girl with dark, raven hair giggled,turned and answered "Follow me and soon you will see how brave your very heart can be."

As she said the last, she pulled a fat millipede from the damp wall of the rocky corridor and swallowed it whole, muttering something about how healthy they were.

Roy tried to hide his cringe from the girl, but she had seen it from the corner of her eye and was giggling to herself.

He couldn't help but think that she might be dangerous as he followed behind, would he have to get rid of her later?

He tried to shake those thoughts out of his mind and concentrated on following the girl with his wits alert.

The two wandered deeper and deeper into the ominous cave, their only other companions were the sounds of oozing liquids dripping from the ceiling of the cave.

Roy kept his hand stealthily on the hilt of his knife, he still didnt feel entirly secure around this girl.

At last they emerged into a large chamber, which seemed harmless enough until Roy noticed that the liquid dripping from above was now a dark red color.
