Simi's opinion still swayed as his body did, absorbing the shock of it all. But when Tahka's actions were taken as a small comforting rub, that vision of Mufasa grew the tiniest crack. And once there was a crack there, the rest could be shattered with ease.
Simi replied to Tahka's request with a nod, shock seeping into him, overflowing enough that he wasn't able to hide it any longer.
"I...I don't know what to think, Tahka..." he said blankly, his emotions nonexistant. His tail tuft swayed to his side as if to comfort him, his eyes staring at the ground below him. Unbelievable! Yet, a piece of him did sort of believe it, as well.

He had done his job and he had done it well.
With a long sigh Tahka frowned and nuzzled Simi again before moving away.
“I am sorry Simi, please don’t think too hard now, you could hurt yourself. Anyway, I best be off, my mother is waiting.”
In all truths he just wanted to leave the little prince to himself, to let the words, story set in better. He wanted Simi to question his family, his past king, and everything.
“Simi, one last thing though; you’re a good friend. I’ll come visit you again really soon.”
Such a lie.

Simi flicked his ear when he heard Tahka speak, and only then did he feel that second nuzzle. Such a delayed reaction, but wasn't that what shock was all about? He looked up blankly at Tahka for a moment, before shaking it off and offering his new friend a smile. "Alright," he replied with a nod. Mothers were important things, he wouldn't ask him to avoid his mother just to talk to him more. That was a bit selfish.
"I'd...like that...I think," he mused, the last two words trailing off into a whisper as he turned himself home, to where he slept, to let him mind tick with what he learned. He needed time to think it out.
