xX-Beefsnibit-Xx Last I heard you just mindlessly did "stuff" for hours. This game doesn't benefit you in the real world, so that would make the whole game pointless. All your doing is sitting at your computer, typing and clicking for hours on end. I don't think your body cares what the ******** your doing on the game, all it's thinking is I need some damn excersise. I'm sure fighting dragons, runecrafting, and all these other things would be cool to do in rl too? Maybe even "funny as hell to me". (Just incase your too *nice word* to understand what i meant by that is that it is a game, don't compare lighting wood on fire in a game to burning your shelter down in real life.) If I want a firemaking skill cape, it's none of your ******** business. I like the way the cape looks and it also says that I've endured some boring a** s**t. If you have a problem with it, I feel bad that you get so caught up in other people's business, that you get worked up enough to even wright something like this. Right "mindlessly did stuff for hours. It only benefits you in real life if you want to get far enough in the game that the time comes to leave it. Because that time comes eventually. You'll finish every quest and do all that needs doing to actually matter in the game. Getting 99 in everything is optional. So it benefits your time in real life to go play another game. You can sit at your computer typing and clicking by writing something in a words document as well. Small children. They sit, not knowing what the ******** they're doing. Start clicking on your background and punching keyboards in and are entertained. They're small children. Getting a firemaking cape shows that you've endured some boring s**t. "Oh yeah! wow! you wasted time. Your a genius. You were bored for hours on end. You pwn. But oh wait. I'm level 124 now and you're 56. Your still awesome though......" I can video tape myself sitting and doing nothing for 10 hours each day. And theres proof that I've been threw some boring s**t. And got nowhere in life. I can woodcut and burn them for 10 hours each day. Same proof and same effect, but in the game. You got nowhere in it. If in real life you enjoy watching fire burn and you're about at least 10 years old at best you would know that its the equivalent of watching paint dry or watching a man try to masturbate a sprite bottle.

Some of those skills aren't completely pointless.
Construction is a huge money burner, but has so many benefits. Tele tabs, portals, quick easy barrow runs, altar, a little place to call your own, a shrine to bob, etc.
Fletching was the way tufftypower made his money and he had billions.
Some do seem to be pointless 99s, but y'know, they added a skill cape to make them seem less pointless.

All skills do. Though the skillcapes are nice. I guess people rushed to get a skill cape in anything for bragging rights. I'm thinking thats what jagex had in mind. They knew people would try harder to get a 99. Don't mean to be annoying, but skill capes didn't make them that less pointless. Its some more nice looking piece of clothing on your back with an emote to help you in your quest to show off. PS: i actually do not understand whats so "cool" about the firemaking cape or its emote. confused

Its pretty hot, cuz you get to juggle lil balls of flames on your hands, then make it dissappear! Wewt! xd

I know what your doing and Im not falling for it. You think your so smart, picking Fire Making to rag on, hoping I'll start a fight and get yelled at by Duo or Air but its not going to work. Your just sad, strange, little man that has nothing better to do then make other people feel bad or stupid because they want something that they think is cool. You know what me and my friends do to people like you at our school? We push them, we shove them, we spit on them. We ram them into lockers and trip them in the halls all because they were making someone feel like s**t. Your lucky you dont live around here.

People do it to show off tbh. That's one of the reasons why someone plays Runescape, it's either friends or showing off, no matter what someone's reason might be they can be rooted to one of those two.
Now if it's not to show off, it's for the feeling of an accomplishment, who ever's gotten a 99 for this knows, it may be a big waste of time, and you could have done so much more constructive things in real life, but the feeling is just worth it really. Of course finding someone who does it for that now a days is really rare. xp
