Shaking her head, Mitsuko smiled as she clasped her hands together behind her back. "It's not impolite if the person asks you to call her by her first name, right?" She pointed out with a grin, "Besides, you don't have to be polite around me. I'm not good at being stiff and formal."
Hearing the hesitation, the girl cocked her head to the side. "I'll call you whatever you're comfortable with. If you want me to address you formally, I'll do so?" She offered. Mitsuko was one of those, 'everything goes' kind of people. Besides, she knew most people might have preferred to be addressed politely. She was just one who preferred to be addressed as Mitsuko or Mitsuko-chan, without any respectful suffixes. She never was very comfortable to be treated so formally at times. Besides, she was too carefree for any of that.
Unfortunately for Miho, Mitsuko was a good multitasker. While pushing her towards the store, the girl looked thoughtful, before answering, "Mm, not really. Though I hope to find one today!" She nodded as she continued to lead the girl towards the store, halting in front of it once they reached it. "What about you?"

Miho sighed softly and for the first time a small smile crossed her face. "Alright then, Mitsuko-chan" She would honor the request to call the girl by her first name but she wasn't comfortable doing it without any honorific at all. She chuckled slightly at the girls comment. "I wasn't particularly worried about that" She smiled slightly at the other girl. "You don't seem like you'd be to strict about it. It's more what people around us think."
Miho thought it over a moment before shrugging. "I guess I don't really care. It's up to you." She couldn't quite bring herself to ask the other girl to call her by her first name but if Mitsuko wanted to then she didn't really mind.
With a sigh Miho struggled to get her feet braced under her so that she could begin walking on her own. Being pushed like this just wasn't dignified at all. No success though, by the time she got her feet under her they were already at the store. "I don't really either. Just something that's not incredibly frilly?"

Mitsuko blinked in surprise at the smile that had graced Miho's face, before she offered her own, content smile. It was nice to see the other girl smile - Miho really was a very pretty girl. Making a face, Mitsuko glanced over her shoulder at her guard, before giggling, "What other people think...well, don't worry about it. Not many people I know are that strict with formalities, and my guards know better then to try to call me Takara-san." Turning, she stuck out her tongue at her guard, who merely snorted with amusement in reply. She really was a casual girl.
"Mm, Miho-chan then? And if you don't feel comfortable with that, just tell me so and I'll call you Tamura-san." Her lips tugged up in another smile, her bright green eyes cheerful.
Covering her mouth to stifle a giggle at the other girl's words, Mitsuko peered into the dark-colored shop with a grin. "I guess a maid costume is out then," She teased, before nodding towards the shop. "Don't worry, Miho-chan. I'm sure there won't be any frilly costumes in here." Or at least, she didn't think there would be any.
"Shall we go in, then?"

A soft giggle escaped Miho at Mistuko's comment about formality. "I don't really think that any guards or servants of your's would have the nerve to argue with you over something like that for more than a couple of minutes." She smirked slightly. "Though, do they sometimes 'slip' and call you Takara-san in front of company?" Based on the servants that Miho knew she couldn't imagine servants calling anyone by their first name in front of company.
"Miho-chan is fine I guess." Her eyes twinkled with what might have been called mischief. "After all there's not really much point in having a first name if no one uses it."
Miho looked a alarmed at the very mention of a maid costume. "Why would I wear something like that? It's revealing and embarassing... and.. just... no" She was still shaking her head in bewilderment that Mitsuko would even suggest such a thing when she answered her question. "Yes. Lets go in before you get any more odd costume ideas." Hoping that Mitsuko would follow and not decide to push her anywhere this time Miho hurried into the store.

"Yeah," Mitsuko agreed, with a wicked grin, "Because if they try to argue with me, I always win." Covering her mouth, she stifled a giglge, before nodding at Miho. "Well...yup. Mother and father always told them that, no matter how much I may argue or protest, they have to call me Takara-san when others are over." Wrinkling her nose, the girl heaved a rather drawn out sigh. Behind them, her guard snorted, muttering, "Well, we all hear your complaints about that very clearly once company has left..."
Puffing out her cheeks at her guard's comment, but ignoring him, Mitsuko let the air out of her cheeks before grinning. "That's true! Besides, you really do have a nice first name!" She nodded matter-of-factly.
"You wouldn't. I was just using that as an example." Mitsuko smiled, before staring at the store's entrance. "Besides, as I said, I don't think we'll find anything like that in there." Nodding as Miho spoke, the girl bounced in after her, stumbling and almost ramming into the other girl in the process.

"Well" Chuckling softly, Miho shook her head. "That makes sense." Her head tilted to one side curiously "They make them call you Takara-san in the presence of company but not when you're out in public? That's odd." One of Miho's brows rose at the guard's muttering. These servants were definitely not afraid that their mistress would fire them if they spoke out of turn. The servants around her house were withdrawn and timid as they knew that if they made one wrong move her mother would immediately fire them if they so much as spoke out of turn.
"Uh" Miho's cheeks turned slightly pink at the complement to her name. "Thank you. Though it's not like I picked it out myself though. After all it doesn't reflect on the person whether their name is nice or not."
She blinked at the other girl for a moment "Then why did you use that as an example?" Miho quickly sidestepped before the other girl could crash into her. "Your really a bit of a hazard to yourself and others, aren't you?"

Letting another sigh escape her lips, Mitsuko nodded. "Well, mother and father don't really mind what the guards call me, but to seem more..." She paused thoughtfully, "'Formal', they insist that I be addressed as Takara-san in front of company." Raising a hand to her mouth, she suppressed a giggle, "Though it's hard to tell who my guards are talking to since my mother, father and I are all usually addressed as Takara-san." Really, she didn't get why it wouldn't work just to refer to her as Mitsuko. It'd be so much less confusing, for one thing!
"That's not always true," Mitsuko said, beaming at the other girl, "The meaning of names sometimes reflects on the person. Like me! Before my grandmother died, she always said I was a bright and sunny child, and that's basically what my name means, right?" It hadn't always been true for Mitsuko - she had been a lot shier and more timid when she was younger - but her personality certainly matched her name now.
Shaking her head and ridding excess thoughts, Mitsuko opened her mouth to reply, only to lunge forward and almost crash into Miho. It was lucky the other girl had moved aside, and that Mitsuko had managed to regain her balance. Once she had, she grinned sheepishly at the other girl. "I kind of am, yup. Sorry about that."

"Really?" Miho blinked in surprise. "That's odd. I'd think at least your parents would care" Though if they didn't it made more sense since it would mean that the other girl had been brought up that way. She couldn't help chuckling softly. "You do have point there. It can get rather confusing when three people in the same household are called the same thing. It can't imagine how confusing it would get if I had brothers or sisters."
"Hn." Miho frowned. "A name reflecting on someone is just coincidence. After all there's no way for parent to know what kind of personality their child will have before or have right after it's born. Besides some names don't have any chance of reflecting on a person. Like my name for example means beautiful bay, how on earth would that reflect on me?"
Miho frowned "Next time you're going to show up where I am please tell me in advance so that I can prepare crash pads" This was actually said in a rather joking tone, instead of the sarcastic one that she would have used at the begining of the year.

"I suppose they did care a lot...at first." Mitsuko made a face, "But I can be pretty stubborn when I want to be!" It was true - when she had been younger, she had been so stubborn about this to the point where she refused to respond to anyone who referred to her as 'Takara-san', which had been...well, basically everyone but her mother, father, and grandmother. In the end, she and her parents had come to an agreement - she would accept being called formally when they had company and, for the rest of the time, everyone would just refer to her as Mitsuko, which had been fine for her.
Listening to Miho with a tilted head, she nodded slowly. "That's true. Though maybe some people do have personalities that match their names. Maybe those people sometimes unintentionally change their personalities to match their name? ...If that makes any sense." Mitsuko smiled sheepishly - she tended to ramble off a lot. Then, furrowing her brows, she looked thoughtful. "Beautiful Bay? Well Miho-chan, you're beautiful but...um...you're not...a bay...?"
Giggling, Mitsuko grinned brightly. "I'll try to warn you ahead of time," She promised, "Though I'm not sure when I'll randomly run into you, so you might want to keep some on you at all times."

Chuckling softly Miho shook her head. "I'm beginning to see that. After all you've managed to make most people at Ouran call you Mitsuko haven't you?" Even if she could see why it had happened Miho still didn't quite understand why Mitsuko was so insistant about it. In her mind the only reason one wouldn't want to be called by their family name was if they didn't like their family and Mitsuko seemed to like her's. The confusing part made sense a bit but everyone had that and people seemed to get by just fine.
"Hm. It's more likely that with people whose name matches their personality it's just a coincidence." A soft giggle escaped Miho. "I'm not either really, but it is true that it's not possible for any person to be a bay. Unless they're referring to the horse color? But that would still be pretty odd."
One of Miho's eyebrows quirked upwards. "Somehow I have the feeling that carrying crash pads around would cause me to get some rather odd looks. Don't you agree?"

Giggling softly, she smiled at Miho, her green eyes twinkling. "Well, Mitsuko-chan and Mitsuko-san is what most people call me, but it's an improvement from Takara-san, wouldn't you agree?" She was obviously very stubborn with how people were to address her. "I just don't formalities," She said suddenly, as if reading Miho's mind, "I mean, most people our age don't have to greet their peers this formally, right?" Though by 'most people', it was likely Mitsuko was referring to commoners.
"My name is a pretty lucky coincidence then!" Mitsuko laughed, "And I suppose it would be kind of hard to compare a person to a bay. Even the horse color." Grinning, she shook her head. "Uh, do you like water, maybe? Or bay-colored horses?"
"I suppose you would get the occasional stare," She admitted, "But better safe than sorry! And if I just happen to show up that day, everyone else will wish that they brought crash pads of their own!" Mitsuko winked, rather enjoying poking fun at herself.

"I... guess so? Though it depends who you ask." Miho blinked. "Most... people?" She frowned, everyone in their society was made to, so that must mean... "Wait, are you referring to commoners?" It was the only thing that made sense. Though it was slightly odd, considering the society that Mistuko had been brought up in, that she considered them "most people".
Miho let out a laugh that sounded a bit choked, as though it had been forced out of her. "I suppose like them both alright. Water IS very pretty, but I'm not sure I like being compared to it."
"Uh..." Miho blinked and just stared. She could not figure this girl out at all. What person made a joke out of other people needing crash pads when they were around?
