She shrugged at the name it worked, she guessed. He was trying really hard so she had to give him brownie points. She nipped back at him, she wouldn't let him have at her mane without herself getting a piece of his. She smiled cheerfully. She almost forgot the woods had been so...scary.
She nodded it was dark...very dark. She watched as he gor closer to her. She rose her brow with a smirk as she butted him with her rump as if to say she weren't scared.
Her ears flickered someone or something was coming. Her head swivled around anxiously wondering what could possibly be out here that, was large enough to make twigs snap to sound like that of bone. She could here it coming closer and closer. She simply looked to Chander and then back to where it was coming before she realized it she could see a golden silhouette...with a crimson face. Mom?! her lavendar orbs widened as her sun conure colored mother walked from the brush with a very hardened expression. "Do you know how long I've been looking for you young lady. You've got your father and I worried sick! What are you doing out this far aways?" she interrogeted with no response as she nipped at her daughter's rump. Her tail flickering anxiously as she then noticed the colt. Her ears flickered forward, "Hello there, young one." she replied. "Do you need to be escorted home from these lands?" she asked in a soft tone before giving another glare to her daughter.

Chandar blinked as the appearance of a golden touched soquili pushed her way through the foliage. All aggression vanished as his uncertainty dissolved, though his ears did fall back slightly as he realized the connection between filly and mare. This was her mother?
The male sighed softly, taking a small step back away from the reunited family. Though Swift was getting a lecture and even a n**, there was no doubting the love the oozed out of her words. So the little filly wasn't quite as similar to him as he had hoped. . . . She had a family and, well, people who actually cared and gave a damn.
. . . . . crap.
So much for finding a best-friend or a spot of company to call all his own.
It wasn't as if Chandar were jealous. He didn't know much about the intricate workings of family life. Some said they kept you from freedom, others said they suffocated you with affection and worry. . . . Chandar had grown up alone with none to call as such. At this age he wasn't sure he wanted it, but, then again - would it be all that bad?
He was old enough to understand that he had to hav come from SOMEONE out there. Some soquili mare had given him birth and yet why was it he had wound up so alone? The colt didn't much like to think about it - negativity and bitterness often welled up inside of him, lodging itself next to the part that claimed it just didn't care. . . and he didn't, did he?
Seeing mother and daughter, the little colt flicked his tail. He tilted his head at the mother and gave a soft snort, nostrils flaring as he pawed at the ground. He would forever be a bit feral and wild - having little guidance would keep him so free. "Nah, I'll be fine." His earlier fear was forgotten i in sake of stubborn pride. "Didn't mean to get her in trouble, but, uh - I won't stop ya from takin' her home." He shrugged almost apologetically at 'Swift', not going to take on her mother of all soquili!
He'd stay and wander some more himself. Despite the darkening woods around him, there was much to be discovered. . . with or without his friend.

Kila looked to her daughter than the other foal, "Well if you say so young sir." she smiled softly. "She won't be in too much trouble," she winked at the colt. "We best be getting off though, perhaps another time you two can play and what not. Its getting late you best be gettin' home." she smiled softly and sweetfully to the colt, a true genuine mother smile. One whom cared of the life around her and the welfare of others. She did wonder to where the colt would go, she could only hope it would be a safe place. She didn't mind Raina playing with others...just not out here at this time of day. It could have gotten dangerous and not always did innocence see the upcoming danger.
