Um, can we get someone to change the title of the event forum?
I'm a mod (or used to be, I haven't paid attention to if I still am XD) but I never learned how to change subforum names or anything like that...
In the meantime, we have like, 11 spaces to fill! Ack!

Valerie521 Ooh, how about a contest for ANYTHING autumn-themed? Like, a short story, or a poem, or a drawing, or a TekTek, or an avatar edit, or just anything that requires creativity... And then there could be different categories for the contest, like Best Autumn-Themed Short Story Best Autumn-Themed Poem Best Autumn-Themed Fanfiction Best Autumn-Themed Drawing Best Autumn-Themed Outfit Design Best Autumn-Themed TekTek Best Autumn-Themed Avatar Edit Etc. And like, each category winner would get something on their wishlist, or like gold, or something nifty like that. And the WHOLE guild could vote, 'cause we could make different threads for the different categories with the little poll-dealies. Like "Which drawing was the best?" Option A: Suzy-Q's 'Leaves' Option B: Annie-Lou's 'Squash' Like that? And different people could head each catergory's thread, that way it isn't a lot of work on one person. And it wouldn't have to be all about the weather changes, because that can only go so far. It could be like, back-to-school, or the end of something, or death (autumn kinda symbolizes that), or anything that you can possibly connect to autumn, concrete or abstract. I guess that's not so much of an event idea as it is a contest, though. XD I dunno. Grin Evilly Grin Evilly says: Hm...
Reading this, I think we should combine the two ideas of the Halloween and the Autumn together: They'd be seperate, but together.
It's hard to explain, but people who aren't really in favour of Halloween contests can do the Autumn stuff, and people that really love Halloween can participate in the Halloween one.
Of course, everyone can participate in both. ;D
And we need catchy names for the ladies who win these fine contests.
Halloween Queen and... Um.
D: I don't know.
We can have a party afterwards or something.

I'll be the judge "representative" for drawing, since that is the one I'm least likely to enter... How many of these categories are we allowed to enter? Is there a limit on how many entries?

Even the one that you run, actually, since everyone will be voting, so there's no way you could fix it in your favor. And... I dunno about limits on entries in each category... Maybe we should let the heads of each category decide that? If it were up to me, I'd say for contestants to just pick one drawing/TekTek/story/whatever, because that makes it easier... but I dunno. Breathless: All right, we've got a donor! Awesome! <3 Two of the twelve prizes are covered, yay! Grin: Sounds good. Hey, could you rename the event forum for us? I think I'll go set up a thread in the event forum so that it's easier to keep track of the list of peoples and stuff.

Um, okay. I have some experiences with contests, so here are some things that might help if you answer:
In General:
- What are the prizes going to be?
- How many categories do you want people to be representatives for?
- Can representatives enter their own categories?
- Do representatives have a say in the voting (for example, they get 25% of the vote, voters get 75% of the vote kind of thing)?
- Are there prizes for the runner-ups?
- How long does the voting go on for?
- Where else will you get the prizes, beyond donations?
- Where do people send prize money?
For each Representative:
- How do people submit their voting?
- How will you subjectively show their entries?
- Can people vote for themselves?
- How will you avoid mule votes?
- Will you allow people to enter more than once?
- Do people PM you questions or just post in a thread?
