"Dress...up?" he asked her curiously, resting his paw on top of Kaoru's head. "I haven't dressed up in a long time. Not since before I was a human," he told to her in a soft voice. "Even if I could dress up, my Human is female. She has nothing other than my uniforms for me to dress into."

Kaoru smiled. "well I can try to make something for you if you want. " She then nugged her nuzzled into his chest.

"Make...something?" he asked to Kaoru, his voice seeming to be far away from his body, almost as if he wasn't there at all. "What's the point in doing that? You'll just waste your time and energy for nothing."

Roy didn't answer his mate's question right away. He just stared ahead of him, not really looking at anything in particular. In fact it seemed that he didn't hear Kaoru's question at all. The silence between them grew until after five tense minutes he spoke. "Just 'cause," he said, replying to Kaoru's question that she had asked earlier.

Kaoru met his eyes and then slapped him with her right paw. "Damn it Roy. I thought we already got over this. Why are you soo hooked on Hughes. I thought I was one of the most important kitsusagi to you."

What Kaoru did at that moment shocked and surprised Roy. He didn't expect her to lash out at her, but then again he was expecting that sooner or later. He was neglecting her and wasn't a very good mate to her. Holding a paw to his hurt cheek, he scooted away from her, hurt in his eyes. "You are...but..." he let his voice fade away. How could he not think of his old friend?

"But WHAT!" exclaimed Kaoru at Roy. She was nearly about to burst into tears but kept them back. "You know when I first met you. I loved you for you not for something else. I loved you for accepting me into your life. I even took the ring that you gave me and never took it off. I still wear it to this day. Roy I love. Why can't you see that."

Roy stared at Kaoru with a shocked look on his face. A few moments later, he turned his back on her. "Love...is blind," he said, going back into silence for a few more moments. "If you want to take that ring off, you may do so." Standing up, he slowly began to walk away from her.

Kaoru looked down at her paw. "Do I disgust you that much. I've been loyal. I've never looked at any other male. " She then looked up to see he was walking away. "Ro...." she started tosay his name but was suttering as tears rolled down her eyes. "Roy...please don't leave me." She then chased at Roy and bit down on his uniform dress thing.

Roy stopped in his tracks when he felt a firm tug on his uniform. He gazed back to see Kaoru's maw around the 'tails' of his uniform. Tears welled up in his eyes and he mentally slapped himself. Turning around, he pulled his uniform free of Kaoru's grasp, wrapped his forelegs around her body and held her close to his chest.

Kaoru slowly started to weep in his chest. "I'm sorry." Kaoru continued to barried her face in Roy's uniform. "I just don't want to lose you."

Roy closed his eyes slightly as he gazed down at the ground, one of his forepaws rubbing Kaoru's back to try and comfort her. "No, you shouldn't be sorry. I am the one who should be. I have been direspectful, inconsiderate, and overall abusive towards you. If I was in your shoes I would have left myself a long time ago."
