Well, I was thinking about having a sign up list. Anyone who was interested in it could post their names in an independent thread. I'll respond to your points one at a time. smile Very well thought out, by the way. Or at least it is to my two-and-a-half-hours of sleep fogged brain. n.n But you're thinking like a secret santa between everyone in the guild. I had different thoughts...

1. Like first off, we have to consider people who are on a sabbatical like Volatile. => Well, I didn't think they would be included. A sabbatical from Gaia means a sabbatical from all things, unfortunately. If Volly is just too busy from us right now, she would be too busy for this as well. Do you see what I mean? We haven't heard from her in a long time. Volly wouldn't want the PPS to just stop in her absence. I think she would want us to keep going on and having fun.

2. We also have to consider new people that may very recently get invited into the guild and are new members that haven't posted anything yet so none of us know them. Like I said, there would be a sign-up sheet. Anyone can sign up for it, newbie or not. The sheet would be there up until like December 10th or so, at which point it could be taken down. PMs could be sent out to everyone making sure they still want to do this. If they do, that's great. If they don't for whatever reason, that's okay, too.

3. We also have to calculate people who have stopped altogether posting in the guild and are just too lazy to leave the guild and are probably waiting to just get banned from it. Well, you know what? This might sound a little mean, but if you can't come by the PPS long enough to put your name on a sign-up list, then I don't want to play secret santa with you. Secret Santa would be between the active members, like you and me and the other girls. If a less active member wants to join, he or she can feel totally welcome. Otherwise, too bad, so sad.

4. I just feel it wouldn't be fair to those who are on temporary leaves from Gaia and those who have lost their internet (like I almost did) to be completely forgotten. If someone has their internet gone (and yes, this has happened to me before for long intervals), then I'm sorry. It sucks. It's not fun. But, and this sounds harsh, should the rest of us suffer for it? I know you're trying to think about the people who can't participate, but what about those of us who can? Why can't we have fun just because some poor girl her internet, or because someone became too busy for Gaia? That doesn't make any sense.

5. I will allow Secret Santa things personally and independently, but I don't have the brain capacity to host one myself. I know you didn't mean this the way it sounds, but seriously. You will allow? stare Also, I have already mentioned that I would be more than willing to step up and run the whole thing. Anyone who wants to help is paid with daily hugs. smile

I hope I explained my ideas better. To sum it up, there will be a sign-up list put up as soon as possible. Anyone who wants to participate just has to post their name. It will be up for like a month and a half. In early December, I'll close it and PM those on the list asking if they're still interested. Those who are, I'll do a random number generator or something and PM you with the name of the person you're giving gifts to. Before anyone asks, if there is an even amount of people, I won't include myself. If there is an odd number, I will include myself. Then on the twelve days of Christmas, each of you doing this will receive a PM reminding you about it and telling you what the day's limit is. I'm totally okay with doing this myself, and as I said, I can probably chip in to help those who find themselves without gold.

End note: I'm really sorry if I sound like a b***h in this. As I said at the beginning, I had two and a half hours of sleep last night because I was sick all night. I'm not very nice if I don't get enough sleep. T.T So I agologize in advance.
