When contact was made, Ayoka truely shrieked now. She was sent rolling toward Evelyne a few times. The panicked girl wanted to run and grab her pokemon in her arms, but Ayoka got up before she could move, trembling. Without Evelyne saying anything, Ayoka actually growled, then ran the fastest she could toward her foe. A cloud of sand was following her.
'She's angry now...' thought Evelyne, her eyes wide open.
HP: 150/700 (burn 2/4)

Jenette raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "Hold your own Venna! You can take it! Then stop that skitty with an ember!" She was confident they were going to win this one.
Venna nodded and braced herself for the attack. Even though they skidded back a little bit Venna smirked and opened her mouth, letting the small bit of flame slither over to the skitty.

After that quick-attack, Ayoka disapeared before the flames could touch her again. Evelyne herself took a moment to spot her. She was still trembling, no doubt suffering because of her burn. She was almost scary though, with how determined she looked.
Proud of her little Ayoka despite how worried she was, Evelyne shouted:"Burn her back with copycat!"
Ayoka's face was distorted with concentration for a moment, then she opened her mouth, letting quite an impressive flame blast out of it.

The vulpix stood there willingly to feel the flames lick against her fur. Sure it singed it a little, but that's ok, she couldn't seem weak to the skitty.
"Alright Venna, let's end this with another attempt at a quick attack!" Jenette shouted down to her as the fire disappeared.
Venna nodded and went running towards the skitty, hopefully for the last time.

Ayoka couldn't avoid the vulpix now, as weakened as she was. She was thrown back about a meter away. She did try to get up but was unable to, and looked at Evelyne, as if she was seeking forgiveness.
'Silly thing...' thought Evelyne, before running to her and craddling the small thing in her arms. "You were brilliant, Ayoka!" said Evelyne, feeling a lump in her throat. "Let's get this burn cured now..."

Jenette whistled and Venna went running for her. Leaping into her owner's arms she barked happily.
"Poor thing..." Jenette said as she pet the Skitty gently. "Sorry Venna was so rough... she can have a hot temper sometimes..." She said as she reached for the trainer's hand. "It was a great battle. That Skitty of yours has some spunk!"

Evelyne looked down at Ayoka, who was now asleep in her arms and smiled.
"Yeah she does... but for now I think she'll sleep a looong night. And it was a great battle for us too. I think she just took it badly to be burned, but otherwise, she'll forget all about it and will still want to play with Venna if she sees her as soon as tomorrow!" With that, Evelyne took off, with one thought in her mind. They'd win the next one, for sure!
