I enjoy the mystery of used books, my dad works in a second-hand bookstore. I think it's much more fun to imagine who thumbed the very pages you are reading before you. To imagine what was going through their mind as they read the last few words. To imagine where the book originated, was it shipped overseas? Where was it published? I guess what I'm trying to say is that to enjoy used books, you have to have a good imagination!

I like used books because they're cheaper (and I don't get an allowance, so money is scarce). I especially like borrowing, since it's completely free. I tend to take good care of books, so I have a good reputation as a borrower.

I sometimes buy new. When I'm done with them, I usually donate them to the public library for someone else to enjoy. I have bought used and when I done with them, I leave them at the laundromat for some other to enjoy. I also see it there are any I think I will enjoy and then return them to the laundromat. I have kept some I really, really enjoy. When I borrow a book from a friend, I always make sure I return it to them.

I like to buy both used and new books. I love that New Book smell, and i love that old book smell too. I have never borrow a book because i don't know anyone else that likes to read! It's usually me that lets people borrow books from me.

red_moon_wolfess I love used books! cheep, cheerful and pre-loved! So long as they are still readable I think any slight damages just add personality! I love that line red_moon! Not only do slight damages add personality they seem to lesson guilt. There is no reason to worry about bending the back of the paper back because someone else did it! I'm becoming more and more fond of used books. Books that are less expensive but already loved.

I remember getting a few one time about a year ago from my chorus's yard sale. A girl in my choir had quite a few, and there was manga in the bunch, as well as dime-cheap romance novels, (I still read them, they're actually pretty good!) So I got to see her taste in books. It was really awesome. =D
