"What is with all the water!?" Jenette thought as she watched her Vulpix get washed away once more. "Venna.... are you ok!?" She said, now wishing she hadn't fought this battle against a water pokemon.
Venna, still not wanting to show her weakness after being bathed by a Tsunami again, she stood, acting as if nothing happened.
"You are amazing Venna..." Jenette breathed. "Do you have another Fire Spin in you darling?" She called and she got an excited "Vul!" in return.
Taking her stance again she opened her mouth and the fiery ring blazed out, spining viciously towards the target.

"Good work Ayirwen! Keep it up, not much longer now!" Raina could see the vulpix was now on it's last bit of energy, it couldn't take much more of this.
As a fire spin came speeding towards her Ayirwen attempted to dodge it without any commands at all. Raina had always given her the ability to choose towards the end of a battle and Ayirwen usually did. This time though there was no use trying to dodge the attack.
As the flames licked at her body Ayirwen turned, and lauched a powerful body slam at her foe. This could be the deciding attack of the battle.

Venna fell, there was no attack left in her. Jenette rushed from the field, scooping the small body into her arms, "Venna... it will be alright... I promise lovely..." She cooed as she stroked her damp fire. Eyeing the other trainer she walked over to her and smiled softly. "Good battle. Definately great compition...." She said as her gaze went downward, disappointed she lost the battle.

Raina stepped forward onto the field as the other trainer went to her pokemon. The fallen Vulpix. She stopped beside Ayirwen, crouched and stroked her companion. "You did a spectacular job today Ayirwen. You deserve a treat and a nice long rest." After saying this Raina produced a small handful of self-made treats, they were Ayirwen's favorite. The Seel clapped it's flippers together and bobbed it's head before nuzzling into Raina and then eating the treats.
Raina stood then, and looked at the other trainer as she approached. She nodded and spoke softly, a kind gentle tone. "It was a good battle, on both of our parts. Your vulpix is strong but I'm willing to bet you haven't had her quite as long as I've had Ayirwen. Not to mention everyone has their bad days, I'm sure next time we meet you'll be even better." Raina reached into her bag again and drew out another handful of treats. "Here, when she's feeling better give her these, I'm sure they'll perk her up."
Ayirwen slid over to Raina and nudged her leg. Raina grabbed her pokeball and smiled at Ayirwen. "Good job, you deserve a rest." Then watched as her Seel dissapeared back into the pokeball. She put the ball back in it's place then extended her hand to the other trainer.

Maybe she was right, even though Venna and herself were great friends they hadn't had much training. But she put up a good fight today. "Thanks." She said with a grateful smile as she took the treats and stuffed them away for later. Taking the other trainer's hand she smirked. "We'll win next time I will make sure we do!" She said in a friendly challenging way.

Raina smiled, shook hands with Jennette and nodded. "I look forward to it but Ayirwen and I will be training too." A glimmer of excitement in her eyes. Battling was always fun, especially between friends. They weren't friends yet but Raina had a feeling they could be in the future.
