Once he made it back to shore, Brayden carefully made his way back through the trees. He was relatively proud of himself once he found his way to the entrance to the lake. He hadn't required Aria's assistance in guiding him back out. Hopefully his exploring skills were getting a little better since he first started out.
Brayden smiled, recalling on more than one occasion where he had landed in trees rather uncomfortably...
'So, do any soul-searching?' Ari piped up, as Brayden made his way back over to the Gardevoir.
"Heh, not really, but it gave me a chance to think a bit. To clear my head and just not think of anything."
'You know you just contradicted yourself, right, Boss?'
"Shut up..."
Ariadne smiled, returning to her Pokeball. That was the Brayden she knew.

It took Brayden a little while longer to gather his party back together. Cye and the other water types were fairly easy. While Mac was quite content on playing around with the currents of the lake, Sai was quite eager to return to Bray's side. Although, once the Vaporeon noticed Caliga emerging from the underbrush, he stuck to the older Umbreon like glue. Figuring that he looked up to Cali as a mother figure, Brayden shrugged. It wouldn't hurt to keep them both out of their Pokeballs for a bit.
Gin was a bit tougher to rouse. The Ninetails was a bit miffed to be awoken, but once he realized it was Brayden, he didn't roast anyone. Although, he was getting a bit grumpy lately. Brayden figured that it was because they hadn't had any good battles lately. Indeed, he had been a bit slacking in his gym training. Most of the battles he had participated in were just wild Pokemon battles, which, he had to admit, weren't nearly as fun as challenging a leader.
"Is that why you're a bit upset?" Bray asked the Ninetails, who considered a moment before nodding faintly, "Don't worry. We'll be back to saving the world again soon enough. When that comes, I'll be relying on your strength, alright?"
"Nine!" Gin barked happily, tails waving eagerly behind him.

"Alright, looks like its time to head on back to meet with the others," Brayden stretched, motioning to Cali and Sai to follow him. He paused, however, when a screech sounded in front of him.
The Zubat dove, as Caliga dashed in front of Brayden to defend her trainer. With a singly Psychic, the Umbreon had dispatched the upset bat, who fluttered weakly before falling with a plop into the snow.
"Hey, thanks," Brayden grinned, patting Cali's head. The Umbreon returned the affection momentarily, before her stoic wall was back up, trotting off, seemingly uninterested in anything. Brayden, however, caught the sight of a faint smile on the Umbreon's face, and Caliga seemed to look around every once in a while.
"Scouting ahead," Brayden smiled to himself. Not that Caliga would admit it. He watched as Sai trotted along behind her, trying to mimic her, which seemed to amuse Cali more than anything. Brayden followed along behind the pair, heading back towards town.
