Did this mare just sit here and look at him, and know he had history?
If so, that was a first, and he was pretty sure it was a first.
"My eyes? The fact that you knew there was even a story behind my eyes is very new to me. My story is of war and battle. Danger and pain.. Then I ran from the pain of which I knew too much.. "
Basically, he'd been deprived of the life he had lived. It was mean and dark, and he had escaped.

"Lies." she stated simply. "They tell stories whether you like it or not." she huffed speaking her normal words. Not the kindest but what she believed. For a half breed kalona she ran up for being decent. Her bangs fell to the side of her face as the wind toyed with them.
She narrowed her eyes, "I am not yours either." she hissed lowly to some extent. She knew that 'ma' meant mine...petite, she wasn't quite so sure but she knew it couldn't have been good. So she dismissed it and watched him with a rose brow.
She was curious of his story if it was anything like hers. Family betrayal, rape, death and abandonment. Yes. The things that created and destroyed life it seemed.

"Lies is a strong word." He said, narrowing an eyebrow and looking at the mare closer. He wanted to avoid his eyes, but he denied adverting his eyes.
"No, You arent mine. I apologize for the remark."
He answered, glancing at her from under his half closed eyelids.

"Your right it is," she replied looking away from him as if doing him a favor. She brushed past him to examine a flower that lie wilted upon the ground. A rose, Erik had roses...she had been quite attatched to them as of late as well. She nosed at it before looking back to him, "Then why would you say it if you knew it weren't to be true?" She had dismissed the apology for she found that they never made her feel better so why pretend.

He explained, keeping an eye open on her while he watched her brush by.
Turning to watch her, he watched her nose the rose, and shook his head.
He wasnt sure what was going on.
But he would like to figure it out.,

Really...seriously. She was just easily distracted. She realized that the rose had just blown over from a rose bush that was also wilted due to the seasons. "That doesn't make any sense to me."
She looked to him, "Explain it?" She hadn't conversed much, with well anyone. Her conversations were usually brief and to the point. No etiquitte none the less. For who would have taught it to her? Her brow rose as she watched him. It was as if a child had been placed in a very large, feminine body.
