the controllers were terrible for fast paced games like Sonic Adventure. maybe that's why Sonic moves so slow in his 3D games now......and Power Stone was good. I should've mentioned it. the only thing the Dreamcast did well though was adding online capability into console games. was the online good though? not really. especially considering what Xbox Live could do way back in 2001.

PSO, Project Justice, Jet Set Radio and the House of The Dead I and II were good games for the Dreamcast. SA and SA II were the only good 3-D Sonic games and still are today. The Dreamcast had amazing games, you probably never gave it a chance. And also the controllers for the X-box were similar to the X-box ones except without the memory card in the middle.

And also Soul Calibur too. And VF 3 as well.

Soul Caliber was also avaliable for the PlayStation at the time. and we did give it a chance. why would we be debating about it if we didnt? and Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were horrible. the storyline was just an excuse to jump on some retarded looking robots, and when Shadow came in SA2, then it just got even worse.......Sega single-handedly killed one of its best franchises. all us former Sonic fans can do now is just whip out the old Genesis and start playing Sonic the Hedgehog 3, a true gaming classic. Sega also killed Phantasy Star with Phantasy Star Universe. the only franchise it has left is Virtua Fighter. I'll bet it'll kill that too. its the inevidible truth. hey, we all thought that Sonic and Phantasy Star couldnt have been killed, right?

Actually, the original Soul Calibur was exclusive to the Dreamcast. Still is, I believe, as the other consoles didn't get an SC game until SCII.

In North America it was known as Soul Blade.

it was the same thing as Soulcalibur (yes, I know I spelled it wrong, but for some reason, this is how its spelled now). and the Dreamcast isnt on Gamestop.com anymore because its discontinued. there are Dreamcasts still availiable on eBay, but they are most likely broken or defective. thats another reason why the Dreamcast failed. the game discs shipped out blank most of the time, and the consoles were often defective.

Sega was/is a pretty poorly-run company, overall. I think there are two reasons why nintendo is still around: 1) Mario, and 2) They run their business very very carefully. Their quality control is second to none. Microsoft could learn alot from them in this regard.

It actualy started with the SEGA Saturn. SEGA Saturn came out around the time the original PS and N64 came out. It soled very badly, so SEGA came out with the dreamcast which was planned to put SEGA back on the map. But it didn't work as planned because the PS2 came out soon after.

that's only about 1/8th of the reason why the Saturn was a flop. it sold poorly because Sega (in a move they considered bold, but actually lead to the death of the company) decided to release the Saturn without telling ANYONE. no one (not even developers, distributers, or even magazines) even knew the Saturn was in development. and Nintendo USED to be the best run company. now that they dropped the game testing committee, its one of the most poorly run companies in the buisness.
