Aryu Raishin Makes me glad that I tend to use faces towards the outside of my sentences. confused
Besides, parentheses errors are small. You don't need to type like perfectly. I probably make a few of those above-stated errors, someway, somehow. D: D: It's under the assumption I do. gonk I don't know quite yet, but I'll pay attention. I worked to get in here, damnit. I'm staying in. 3nodding

XanyKaos I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, but apparently, because of my love for slang, I'm some kind of off-shoot heratic or something. But my best friend is an English major and the two of us are in love with the English language (and most other languages). We'll end up having long involved conversations about how a certain word can be used and what part of speech it is under what circumstances...'cuz we're dorks. I'm personally in love with the semi-colon. Such a pretty little piece of punctuation. Sir Magnor Criol So in love with it that you don't realize that it's one ******** word, not two hyphenated together. And to boot you misspelled heretic and started a sentece with 'but'. I often start sentences with "but", or "and". I know it's gramatically incorrect, but I can't help it. It just sounds better in my head.

I believe starting sentences with "but" is now acceptable. It wasn't intended to be that way, but such a high percentage of the population did it anyway. On another note; my rats are fighting. It is quite amusing.

Arduin Linsang Spinel Double strike! horrlibly long run-on sentence and "XD" right in the middle... Have fun as you like. Spelled "horribly" wrong... I don't think small spelling errors like that are too big of a deal. I mean, if you totally butcher a word, you have it coming. If you happen to type fast, like myself, once in a while, you will slip up. I do it all the time. I either catch it right away and make a break for the backspace key, or I go back and edit it later.

Realistic Tears I don't think small spelling errors like that are too big of a deal. I mean, if you totally butcher a word, you have it coming. If you happen to type fast, like myself, once in a while, you will slip up. I do it all the time. I either catch it right away and make a break for the backspace key, or I go back and edit it later. Rule number one of GGNG: DO NOT ******** ENCOURAGE TYPOS. They happen. We know that they happen. However, when they do happen in here, the person will be called on it in the angriest way possible. Why? We need to learn to proofread a message before pressing the "submit" button. If you do it out there in Gaia's main forums, you'll probably slip past the notice of your comrades in here. If you do it in here, where people are watching your every move, you will be thwapped on the head as a warning. There is only one warning. Subsequent errors will usually result in the torch of justice.

I wish you people would write a book of scriptures or something about the ways of good grammar (sort of like a bible) and sell it on eBay. I'd buy it and read it every night. 3nodding EVERY night.

I think 'Kaze should stop thinking so much and instead shoot them in the gall bladder with a .45mm Mp5k. I heard it is good for stress relief and indigestion. Trust me on this one. 3nodding 2. People have to be told it all the time because of the fact that they are too lazy to take a couple minutes out of their pathetic lives and see the ******** flames we record in this forum. Once they see those, I don't think they'll ever misspell again.
Another thing that irks me to no end is that people can't seem to get the fact that we are not here to be all lovey-dovey to this tiny misspelling, or give out hugs and kisses for this miniscule comma splice. People who think this are pansies. Big, fat coochie-stinking pansies that need to go through another four cycles of grade school.
Well, I think I have exhausted about four magazines of ammunition for this post. I feel a hell of a lot better now. whee

Anyone I accepted has either demonstrated that he or she does know, or that he/she doesn't accept anything less than perfection.

I am not saying this to disparage your actions in any way, but if that was the case, why would there be so many screw-ups that are admitted into the GGNG? Are you the only Mod to screen applicants, or are there others? I am starting to lean towards Catch's point-of-view: Many applicants really don't seem to fully comprehend the ways of the GGNG, yet countless of those "tardboxes" are still being admitted. I cannot seem to find logic in that, if what you say is true. Mayhaps they are out there to prove you wrong. If that is so, then I feel sorry for them for being so shallow. 3nodding

Other than that, I'll just be more vigilant.
