She watched with a pensive stillness as her 'sibling' - of sorts - played with the younger brother. For that particular kitsu, of course, playing always meant torment of some sort, especially so when it came to that family he hated so much. Still, killing the younger Elric was seemed almost too malicious.
Mmm...the green-haired creature had always been overtly vindictive, though. Even here, in a place where loyalties and goals from the other world no longer mattered, there was still that vindictive jealousy in his personality; jealousy at being abandoned by his father, and jealousy that gave him his name.
As for herself...Lust had never had reason, beyond orders from their old master, to really cause the two brothers any sort of pain. She had even gone so far as to go against her nature and assist them at one point in time. Said action had, well...ended with a finale she had not hoped for nor expected.
So, she observed from a tree branch above the action, having trailed Envy, following Alphonse, out to the newly-formed battleground. The transmutation circle the alchemist kitsu had unveiled was one that she couldn't quite recognize, and she had to scoff at the thought of her fellow sin complying to a request of assistance from the Elric boy. And then, Edward had arrived on the scene...hm. Perhaps she could even the fight out, two-on-two?
It would only be fitting. With her former wish of no consequence here, she could only be true to her origins. She sat up when Envy pinned Edward, ready in case a counter-attack came. Then, when Alphonse leaped for Envy, she launched her black-clothed form nimbly from the branch and towards the younger alchemist.

"Don't be stupid, Al! She would never want that! She wants you around!" Edward then swung his automail paw at Envy, only to have it caught by the sin, who just grinned down at him.
Envy sneered, squeezing on the metallic paw with such great strength that the automail started to creak and give to the pressure.
Edward knew that the automail he wore wasn't the quality he had been use to getting in his former life, thus he had to be more careful with it, but as is started to crush under Envy's grasp, he grit his teeth. But still... he needed his brother to understand, "I want you around!"
Envy glanced behind him as Alphonse leapt for him, only to see him intercepted by Lust. Ha!

Alphonse knew he was moving downward, and his burnt-golden eyes had been on his target. When he was launched at while in midair, it ended up stunning the younger Elric brother, having not expected it at all.
He loudly yelped as he tumbled on the ground in a heap, groaning in pain. The Kitsusagi slowly rolled onto his belly, wondering who had attacked him. When he got his eyes to focus through the stars exploding behind his eyes, he blinked up at the female homonculus, focussing his eyes on her properly.
"Wh... what are you doing here?" He said slowly, rising to his feet again. "You want to fight, too? All I want to do is visit the gate, kicking me around isn't going to help, you know!"

Roy sighed as he walked through the forest, minding his own business when he heard a commotion going on nearby. Flicking an ear, he sighed as he heard Ed's voice. "Looks like he got himself into a bind," he muttered to himself as he started to turn away when he heard Al's voice. "Is that...it couldn't be," he said to himself, but he shook his head and started running towards the fight.
A few moments later, he stopped in his tracks and gazed at the four kitsu that were fighting. He could recognize Ed and Envy, but he didn't recognize the femme. Narrowing his eyes, he lifted a forepaw and snapped, causing fire to form around the four kitsu in the area. "Oops," he muttered to himself.

Landing lightly on her paws, the homonculus flicked her attention towards Envy and Edward for a moment, hearing the faint groans of metal giving under pressure. Since it seemed like the other sin had that situation under control, Lust turned her attentions back to Alphonse, returning his almost stupefied gaze with a coolly contemptuous look.
"It's nice to see you again, Alphonse," she replied, a small smirk lifting her expression. Casually turning to gaze back to the elder brother's direction, she added, "And you as well, Edward."
But at the young alchemist's words, she could only give him an affectedly puzzled look. The kitsu held silent for a moment - the Gate? Hm...was that what the transmutation circle was for, then? Looking towards the mat that the chalky designs were inscribed on, the sin's smirk suddenly returned. From the earlier dialog that she had picked up on, it sounded like Alphonse intended to leave them.
"Oh, don't go so soon....Surely you aren't that much of a burden already?"
At the sound of a snap and then the feeling of sudden heat, however, the female jumped to the side, frowning as flames leapt up around them. Hm...had the Flame Alchemist decided to join the fray as well? That would put all known souls from their old realm together...as far as she knew, anyway.
Hah. She was half expecting Dante to show her hateful face.

Envy and Edward remained locked in combat, each pushing against the other in attempt to overcome the other, although it was clear that Envy was just playing with the pipsqueak.
Edward growled, ear turning to Lust's voice, "Go to hell" he managed to say, even though his attention was mostly on the homunculus above him.
It was then that there was the snap and the fire surrounded them all. Envy looking up, but that slight distraction was just enough for Edward as he aimed a kick at Envy's belly. With a surprised 'oof!' Envy was tossed off... but instead of leaping back at the alchemist.. he was further distracted for one his long locks of green hair had managed to catch on fire. "AAGH!" the homunculus practicly flailing as he tried to put it out. Once he did, it left a very irate glaring at Roy. "You're so going to pay for that!" The envious one making a made dash for the Flame Alchemist with intent to attack. Nobody messes with his hair! DX
Edward stood up and snorted, atleast Roy had proven useful for something atleast. However, his attention went back to Alphonse and it was to his brother that Ed ran.

Alphonse lowered his head and flattened his ears against the sides of his skull as Lust's words came to him. They had stung, and hard. Why was she mocking him? He didn't know... The youth stood tall and shook his head, not wanting to appear weak in front of her.
"I... I'm not a burden," He retorted back at her with as much confidence as he could muster into the words, yet they had sounded unsure even to his own ears. "I just can't be around any more, so I have to go back." He growled loudly in the back of his throat, wing feathers bristling now. "So one of you, get on that transmutation circle so I can activate the gate. Then I'll be out of---aaaugh!"
He ducked his head suddenly as he saw fire suddenly raze through the area around him. Alphonse's next move was pure instinct - he slapped his front paws together, striking the ground a heartbeat later, transmuting the ground under him into a ten-foot high platform, made out of solid granite.
He stood on it's flat top, heart racing, eyes looking for the source of the fire. He soon found it, blinking in disbelief for a few seconds. "General Mustang? You're here too?"
The youth cast his attention downwards again quickly as he heard somebody approaching his location. When he saw his brother, he sighed and let his shoulders sink.
"I already told you why I need to do this. You're not going to be able to stop me."

"General?" he said before he heard Envy's voice. Narrowing his eyes, he snapped again, causing a wall of fire to appear between Envy and himself. He knew that the fire wouldn't stop the humunculis for long, but at least that would delay Envy for a little bit. Crouching, he leapt away from the area and snapped again once he regained his footing, this time at Lust. He didn't help the Elric brothers for Ed's sake, but for Al's.
"Ed, Al, I hate to break your little re-union, but it seems that you two need to get out of here or else help me drive them away," he said to the Elric brothers sternly, snapping as he yelled at them.

Growling, the homunculus propelled herself backward, feeling the heat of the flames singe her fur. Hmph...how bothersome. No longer amused at the irony of the situation, Lust took another step back, lifting a paw and flexing the limb outward. Alchemy wasn't the only power the kitsu had managed to bring over from their world - Envy had showcased that well enough.
It was then that the kitsu noticed that she had managed to land partially on the transmutation circle that Alphonse needed to open the Gate. Hm...what would the alchemist do, now that he had one of the sins idly standing there? Lust considered moving, of course, and was tensed to spring at any given moment. But, perhaps a few alterations to the circle - an easy task, considering it was chalk-marked - would be amusing.
Or, she could stand and wait for Mustang to snap at her again. Either way...

Envy jumped back, landing on the rug unknowingly with the flames having barred him from getting at Mustang. He growled lowly, his gaze searching for the Flame Alchemist then landing on Lust who seemed to be just standing there. He looked at her oddly, then turned his attention back to the Elric brothers, bristling.
Edward made his away around the flames and eventually stood below where his brother was perched, looking up at him. "Don't do it all! You don't know what you're doing!" But he doubt such words were going to change his mind... he had to think of something else. Although that's when Mustang butted in and Edward turned an enraged glare towards him. "MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS! NOBODY ASKED YOU TO GET INVOLVED!" Huff! He would like to chew out Mustang even more, but there was a desperation in Ed's eyes as he looked back to his brother. "We promised Al.. back before I became a State Alchemist! We promised that we'd never let anything happen that would tear us apart, remember?!"

Alphonse made a loud discontent noise at General Mustang's words. "Drive them away? No." He shook his head in determination. "With all due respect, General sir, I brought one here - well, kind of. I was looking for him... and he found me." He shrugged. "You need a homonculus to get through the Gate, and that's exactly what I'm doing."
He returned his attention to the mat with the transmutation circle on it, curiously tilting his head as he noticed that both Lust AND Envy were standing on it now. "Hmmm..." He said aloud to himself, pondering. Using two homonculus as a trigger to the Gate? That hadn't really been his plan, but he supposed it would work all the same way.
He growled softly as his elder brother approached the granite pillar. "I know exactly what I'm doing, brother. We've studied this. We did it before, remember? The circle was just right then, too. Only this time, I'm not using it to bring back anyone so I'm not going to get hurt. I'm only using the homonculus to get to the Gate. It's going to be fine, brother!"
He slapped his paws together for a moment to create a transmutation circle with his body. Then he deconstructed the granite pillar he had just made, returning himself to ground level, shaking himself off after it was done.
"I know about the promise, brother." He continued, his voice quiet and hurt now. "How could I forget about it?" He stood tall on his hinds, gritting his teeth as he gave his brother a pained expression. Inside he felt like he was falling apart... yet put on a brave front, not wanting to show any of that right now, especially not in front of all these others gathered. "It's a bit late to start mentioning that now, isn't it!? You were already apart once you were gone... and then I come here to find out that you already made yourself an entire life without me here? It was a mistake to come after you. I never should have come in the first place - you would have been perfectly happy without me, wouldn't you!?"
As hot tears welled up in his eyes, he aggressively brushed them back, and then shoved past his brother, running towards the at containing his chalked human transmutation circle. He struck the palms of his paws together aggressively and sprang at the mat, slapping his paws down on the edges of the chalked circle to begin the transmutation reaction. The circle immediately began to glow with strong red light once struck, huge erratic surges of raw crackling energy beginning to emerge from the array like angry lightning. The younger Elric brother could only duck his head and stare on ahead of him, both in awe, and afraid of what might happen now. Not even he knew...

Roy ignored Ed's harsh comment. He was used to it by now. Pinning his ears against his skull, he stopped his attack and gazed over at the rug the two hummunculus were on. "s**t," he muttered under his breath as he heard Al's comment. "Stupid boy," he said as he started running towards the two Elrics. It was then that he stumbled over a rock and rolled right onto the rug, just inside the outer circle as the transmutation circle began to glow. It was then that he realized his big mistake. "********," he muttered under his breath as he braced himself for what would come next.

Lust regarded the two alchemists carefully. She had none of the hate in her gaze that her fellow homunculus did for the boys, and if anything her stare was more apathy than anything else. She could almost pity Alphonse, in a way; his childlike, naive dedication to his elder sibling was causing him anguish. Hm...such a petty thing to be upset by, really. Edward had built his own life here - one had to, she supposed - so why couldn't the little brother do the same?
She crouched her tensed body slightly when Al clapped his paws together and charged towards the two standing on the carpet. She didn't trust that he knew what he was doing, really - who knew what consequence the transmutation would have on them? The red light crackled and glowed beneath the two homunculi - Lust was almost nostalgic of the old, familiar energy.
Her thoughts caused her to hesitate, her mind heedless of the sudden air of danger. In that moment of pause, however, she felt an odd feeling, one not exactly of pain but akin to it, lace through her body. Gasping, the kitsu pushed herself outside of the circle's vicinity, her body trembling with the effort to stay standing.
But even weakened, the sin could only stare as the foreboding white door appeared before them. Transfixed on the massive entity as it swung open, she didn't even think to see if the same draining feeling had affected Envy.Across the dimensional rips of the Gate, yet another from the alchemy world felt a longing tug.

Edward could only stare at his brother as he spoke those words. Words that felt like a dagger, piercing his heart and soul. Eyes reflecting the hurt and pain that it caused him. "Al..." he said softly, almost brokenly. How could he say such things? After all they'd been through, and how much each of them longed to be together again... did he really regret finding him? He didn't know what to say, too stunned to react as Alphonse pushed past him. His paws clenching, although the digits on his automail paws had been bent out of shape a bit. Envy was about to make another attack when Alphonse activated the circle, causing Envy to pause.. eyes widening as the energy surrounded them... especially him. "NO!" he shrieked, turning his gaze to the gate as it appeared, which was followed by his screams. Involuntarily, his form started to change... the green haired kitsu seeming to dissolve. Only to be replaced by the form of a huge green dragon Kitsusagi. The energy, and the hollowing winds stirred up by that energy, caused Edward to turn around. To look on in horror as that familiar gate appeared and a screaming dragon Envy in its wake. Not to mention Alphonse and now that b*****d Mustang were in its path. Leaping into action, the blonde alchemist made to shove Roy out of the way. As much as he loathed the guy, he didn't want to see anything happen to him either. Curse that loyalty of his! Next was Alphonse, and Ed tried to grab him and pull him out of the way. "No! I'm not losing you again!"
But what of Envy? He despised and loathed that creature more than anyone... but he had a family here too. But was there anything he could do? The serpentine Kitsu's body was aglow in a strange design that resembled a transmutation circle, but what caught his attention the most were the glowing red stones that were hanging from his horns. The homunculus dragon screamed and writhed with agony, until he simply couldn't anymore and just collapsed in the center of the circle.

At her home deep in the woods east of Bass'ken Lake Liliana kept her green eyes fixed upon the blip on the computer monitor that was Edward's signal. he was still in the kitsu realms, only now his movements seemed to be confined to an area instead of running as he had been. Had he found Alphonse? Had her mate found his brother? The aqua eyes of the gaiacom witch flicked to the winged kitsu female. One certainly could respect the girl's dedication. Myranda did not need emotions to understand it was difficult for Liliana to wait behind. At least on a search mission such as this they could relax in the thought that the fullmetal and his brother would at least be safe... "Lily!!! Lily!!!" Liliana looked up as Ginny's daughter raced into the room, long brown hair flying behind her. "It's Ed! His hand's gone to 'mortal peril'!!!" Liliana jumped to her paws, wand in her hand. Mortal Peril... Even as fear gripped her heart in its cold claws she was glad they had decided to make a hand on their reproduction of the Weasley family clock for her mate. The technology could not tell her Ed was in trouble but the magic clock could. But what could put him in danger... "Envy..."Cedrella blinked, her brown eyes going wide. "Lily I'm going with you!! Envy's Faith's grandpa!!" "Faith...? The one that's a boy?" Click. clickclickclickclickclick. Liliana shook her crimson head. "No. No time. I must get to Edward! You must stay here! I'll call if we need anyone, but please wait! Even if you alert them..." She shook herself, pulling away. Cedrella knowing the dangers of apparating stood back unhappily. "I know you're brave, Cedrella... but it's my place! I have to go!" With that she did, disapparating cleanly away. ~~~~~ There was a small pop above the alchemists and homonculi (?) -not that any would likely hear it over the sound of the activated circle. The crimson furred female hovered perhaps 5 feet over her mate, gold tipped brown wings furled and holding her aloft. The light of the circle, of the odd gate, nearly blinded her. She could just make out two blonde heads... her mate's voice, ed no longer beneath her but leaping... "Edward!!!! Alphonse!!" Her voice worried and breaking.
Others. Her training with the SeeD fistfighter alerted her to others. One was Envy. He was screaming... changing? Her eyes seemed to be adjusting to the light. Another... dark hair, black dress? And... Roy Mustang?
Liliana put her wand away. Something about the magic of that gate -yes, she and Ed could debate later about alchemy being science... she felt something of magic about it- might throw off her magic, make it unpredictable and dangerous. But potions... She reached into her bag for a certain one she had been working on. A crowd calmer. Intended to soothe riots. Or a family of werewolves. Poured out like a light fog and spread over an area the size of a football field and its stands if she used the entire flask. Everyone was close though. The most she would need was a quarter... provided it worked on a homonculus dragon. Liliana flapped her wings to stay aloft and poured the potion. Her wings beat to spread the almost golden fog like a gossamer blanket upon those below. If it worked right... a sense of peace and calm would come over those below. Each would feel they were very close to when they felt the most peaceful. Not sleepy, simply peaceful. Away from anger & wanting to fight. They could still defend themselves -with this one- but hopefully none would attack each other. It would not last -it was in no way a permanent effect. An hour or two at the most. Hopefully peace brought an end to rash thoughts and actions. Enough for things to calm down... hopefully.
