"Well then, lead the way." The wolf gave a happy flick of his tail as he swung himself up, shaking his pelt thoroughly and turning around to check his rump for any signs of dirt or leaves clung to it before leaping over the small river after Alina, finding with quite a bit of distaste the squelching, nearly-dried mud on the opposite bank, with now littered his (though equally as dark and surely muddy colored) paws.
A nose wrinkled and the strong urge to lick his paws until every little tiny itty bitty piece of dirt off of them was tempting, but he followed on, though high-stepping to keep from doing more damage.

Walking a head she casually trotted down an unmarked path. The mud covering her silver-creme paws but that didn't bother the femme any she was use to the mud, well she should have been, after all taking a whirlwind of a dive out of a bat invested cave through a waterfall would make anyone impervious to mud.
The memory was really the only one she could recall besides meeting her grandfather. A very good memory along with Amarii always trumped that bad one. Looking back Alina paused. Snickers wasn't only a strange Alpha, but his walk was equally funny.
"What are your siblings like?" She asked in a casually conversational tone?

'Ewmudewmudewmudewmudewmud...'
Was all he could think as he padded behind Alina, legs nearly touching his chest at some points as he high-stepped around suspicious looking ground, only causing himself to step on leaves and small pieces of grass, adding to the collection of paraphernalia on his paws.
Attempting to walk along and scrape the gunk from his paws at the same time, Snickers merely drifted side-ways, sometimes nearly toppling over himself in haste to relieve himself of the stuff sticking to his feet, and several times nearly losing sight of his guide.
"Hm?...Uh, oh. Well, my oldest...gah(attempts to scrape some mud off on a tree-trunk)...brother, Crunch, he's..." The wolf needed a moment to find a good word. "Difficult. Quite dependent on me most of the time, almost like a child would... And my sisters, Gracia and Twix, are almost the same. I hunt, I patrol, Twix is nearly as bad as Crunch, and Gracia's not as bad. Taken to following me though..." The wolf raised his head at this, making sure that he hadn't lost the chocolate-colored female.
"And you, miss Alina? Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

Turning to look back at the male and watching the odd behavior of paws scraping against the tree. Alina almost lost sight of what she was listening to, but cleared her head quickly. "Hm, that must get tiring to say the least with your sister and brother being about like pups. As for the last one, Gracia right, she doesn't sound too bad." She commented, but his next words halted her a bit.
Looking to her mud clodded paws and then back up to Snickers, the chocolate Femme shook her head. "I don't remember. I was left behind when my family moved off somewhere. But I found a wonderful wolf," no reason to tell this male about Patches being a half-breed she never thought of her grandfather as such anyways, "that is like a grandfather to me. So with him, I gave up my search for any siblings and began to looked for a pack instead. Finding one full of wonderful wolves, mainly males though." She commented.
Then looking at the male's red paws and the odd scraping of the mud, "What are you doing?" she asked

The wolf turned his head as Alina stopped and began to speak, ears perked attentively with a paw still against the tree as he listened. Nodding, he turned back to his work, brow furrowed in aggravated frustration.
Traveling? His family traveled when he was younger, though he scarcely remembered, Crunch of Gracia sometimes brought it up. Just a coincidence? It must be! But, her pelt was oddly familiar, and he'd only seen those of his family with it....No, that was absurd! How in the world could she be related to him? 2 +2 = fish. Yes, fish. Completely and utterly as far away from the answer as possibly possible.
"There is mud." Snickers snorted obviously, as though it was enough of an answer to count.

Head tilted to the side still Alina just pitied the poor souls that wound up joining this male's pack. The males in her pack weren't the average stereotypical males of the seasons and they didn't even freak out about mudd like this male did.
"Snickers, not trying to insult you or anything, but the mud is all over the place. Our rivers and streams flood from the snow that melts off the mountains every spring and summer. It helps with keeping the large prey animals around longer for the fertile land. Which is why this area and beyond in a no-wolves-land is excellent in hunting."

His face fell agape at this new information, eyes first changing into an expression of skepticalism, but soon widened for he knew she was telling the truth. Say whaaaaaa?! That definitely would be his statement if he was human, which, fortunately he was not.
"All over?"
Every single spring he'd have to deal with this? This wasn't good, no, not at all it wasn't. Screw having food there was MUD all over the ground! His paws, his poor, beautiful paws! Think of all the dirt!

Alina tilted her head a bit towards the other chocolaty furred wolf. Him freaking out over mud, MUD of all things! Where did this male come from? He couldn't possibly be an alpha with this attitude towards the most uncontrollable factor in the woods.
"Snicker, are you really the alpha in your pack? I haven't met a single alpha, even one that was dead, that flipped out about mud being on the ground. If we didn't have the soil holding the trees and vegetation in place, we all would be nomads." Alina stated the facts and even frowned slightly at this male. Wow, she had met tougher squirrels.

He still couldn't believe there was mud. Wild boars? He could deal with? Sexy, uncontrollably lusting females? He could DEFINITELY deal with (and hopefully would find soon, for he was losing hope for such), and gladly would. But mud? Ew. No. How could this, this, female stand in front of him and be so nonchalant about the matter? It was all over her paws! And his, more importantly!
At her comment, he drew himself up, an accusing look coming over his features. "Of course I am! And a good one at that. You should see my packlands, they stretch farther than the eye can see!" Snickers snorted affirmatively, merely digging himself into a deeper hole.

Alina watched the male's facial features and she never liked to judge other, well unless they were pawns of the two-leggers, but this just wasn't making sense. This male claiming to be an alpha that originally cared to find out where the water ways where. Didn't alpha find that stuff out before setting their territorial markings? And then freaking out over mud!
Only a brief narrowing of her eyes, the chocolate and silvery-creme femme stepped closer towards Snicker. Taking a calm sniff of the other, who she was hoping against hope that she wasn't related to, and found only the scent familiar with water and the scent of the surrounding trees now.
Alina couldn't believe what she was about to say, but something in the back of her mind urged her forward, "Well, Snicker, if you really are the alpha of your land, mind if I meet the other member of it. Just for safety precautions in my pack?" Being such a nonchalant wolfess, Alina could pass off any lie that she wanted, but this was her first and hopefully her last.

Silly female, questioning me....Oh well, she'll soon fall faint to my, gorgeous charm and wit. She's just restraining herself, I'm sure! The egotistical male thought almost haughtily, for the moment forgetting the sticky, icky, gooey coating on his paws as he looked to Alina. Poor dear, resisting her uttermost desires!
The brown male stopped, stiffening momentarily. She wanted to see....his pack? His pack? This....could be a problem. Hopefully Crunch and Gracia and Twix were out, hunting or whatever he was really supposed to be doing in the first place. But the hesitation was only barely momentarily, before a suave grin broke over his face. "Whatever you want, Alina." He replied, giving his head a dramatic swing in the direction of the packlands.

Alina, had she been any other wolf, would have cocked her head back in surprise, but she just nodded once. "Lead the way back then, your Alphis." she encouraged. Maybe this would allow her to see the others, would they all be the wolves from her dreams, or just different looking male and females? Only time would tell.

As he high-stepped towards his territory, making sure to take the longest way to get there, of course, Snickers debated what to do. If he was good, and he was sure he was, they'd be able to pass into the terra, he'd show her around a bit, waggle his bum, have some fun and she'd leave, no problems! So, what did he have to worry about?
Her reply only inflated his confidence in himself, pumping more hot air into an already stuffed ego. Nothing good could come from this...

Having gone out to find her brother, and get away from Twix and her bossy ego. The blue and white femme with a tucked in tail and light blue eyes walked on soft paws. She could smell Snickers, but there was another scent, this one was odd to her nose, almost like she should know it, but then again this was in the pack's territory.
With a c**k of her head, Gracia gave off a soft howl, "Snickers, where are you?"
With her impassive face, Alina followed behind Snickers. Watching him attentively as if waiting for him to mess up in his act. She just had this feeling that Snickers was lying. Then the soft sound of another femme's voice tickled her ears causing them to perk up. Someone was calling out to the chocolate male before.

So busy practicing pick-up lines he was, that Snickers nearly didn't hear his sister's call. /Nearly/. Immediately his confident, cheery face fell.
"Gracia..." The wolf murmured, his tone less than thrilled.
Sighing, the male flicked his maw sky-ward and released a returning call. "I'm here, and I'm with guest." He replied, giving quite an emphasis on the last word. Hopefully his sister wouldn't speak out on him while Alina was there, it wasn't often that he got a female to follow him.
