Well, the end of last season was a hand with red nails (very like those of the Master's wife) picking up a ring looking strangely similar to the pocket watches used in that season by BOTH the Doctor and the Master. Who's to say a female wouldn't have a ring instead? And since they're reviving old enemies, why not the Rani? Or they could just do some stupid thing and bring the Master back since the ring did come from what looked like ashes, and the master was cremated..

As an explanation of how Rose comes back, a friend was saying that Davros has the power to open a hole to parallel worlds.

Russel said that they will not go into the whole Master thing this upcoming series. Sorry to bring down you hopes.

The ring thing seemed Lucy Saxon picked up the ring. But Russel called it the hand of the Rani.

As for the Rani she may return this season though I think it's stupid to bring back another Time Lord so soon. Maybe in the 5th season or in the '09 specials

Russel said that they will not go into the whole Master thing this upcoming series. Sorry to bring down you hopes.

Russell also said...

1. Rose was not leaving at the end of season 2.
2. He wasn't planning on bringing the Master back.
3. Kylie Minogue wasn't in the 2007 Christmas special.

In other words, he'll fib a little if it's a surprise he doesn't want spoiled too early.

As for the hand that picked up the ring... yeah, it could be the Rani, or it could be Saxon's wife. Or, given the Master's previous tendency to go around body-snatching... I suppose it could be the Master possessing Lucy Saxon's body. Would that make him 'The Mistress'? whee

On the Master thing Russel said in Series 1 that if they could do it right they'll bring back the Master. Besisdes that is stupid to bring the Master back so soon after his death this series, unless the do a Five Doctors thing this series. And Davison may be in the Children in Need Special instead.

And another spoiler that probably all of you have heard but no one has posted (to my knowledge), the Ood are returning this next series. mrgreen

The comment about the Ood Planet has been mentioned, however it is in the Ood fanthread in the Fan Subforum. ^^

And WTH is that thing in between Martha and the Doctor? The outfit reminds me of the Judoon, however the Judoon outfit reminded everyone of something else. The word Sontaran comes to mind, but I dunno if that's the right one..... =/

Can't say I'm entirely impressed by the Sontaran redesign. Almost prefer the 'mashed potato' look from Shakedown. Almost.

Maybe it's the "perplexed garden gnome" expression that one's got on that cause it to fail to intimidate, and it'll look better in context.

Yeah you are thinking of the Sontarans for they originaly wore the Judoon outfits Ceribi. And they've been around since the 3rd Doctor. The blue suits are wierd. And the head is a little more detailed than the originals. mrgreen

I caught this off of wikipedia:
They are mentioned in "Eye of the Gorgon", an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Sarah Jane Smith meets Bea Nelson-Stanley, an elderly lady suffering from Alzheimer's disease who recalls her husband describing the Sontarans as looking like potatoes and that they were "quite the silliest creatures in the galaxy".

After seeing the new Sontaran pics, I think the above description is rather accurate.

I hope these are all true. That would be AWESOME. Especially the one aboutSarah Jane and rose comming back. But doesn't Donna, Martha, Jack, Sarah Jane and Rose make 5? You said 4...
