Guilian couldn't help but chuckle at the phrasing of that statement; it sounded so entertainly mercenary, especially considering that said stallion 'offering his services' as it were only if she could find no one else. A most interesting state of affairs, if he did say so himself.
"Ah, so you are of a maternal bent, then? I can't say that I'm surprised, Chica; your own mother was a most maternally inclined soul, if a bit more 'traditional' in her appraoch. However, I don't doubt that you will have positive results in your endeavors, assuming you try."
He ought to know, after all. "As for me, I ought to be the living embodiment of the fact that it is possible to have children beyond the confines of matehood. As a matter of fact I have five children, Chica, born to me by two different but extremely delightful mares. I have the utmost respect for those that choose the monogamous lifestyle, but I myself prefer a bit more variety."
As he spoke, Guilian allowed his wingtip (which had for all this time rested at her chin) to wander, moving it up along her cheek to tuck back a lock of hair behind her ear. "I've always found it suited me, after all. But tell me, Chica, doesn't it get rather lonely being on your own so much?"

She was very maternally bent. She had for some time wanted foals. Moreso because it had to run through her blood. She loved children. And wanted some of her own before she was too old to have any.
''Yeah, me and Mom have some things in common. I do indeed want children.. But I want to find someone I care about.. Even if it isnt love. Even if its only respect.''
She smiled.
"Five children? Wow. I never would have imagined. I dont know that I want to settle either. I think I prefer variety as well.''
She thought of the lonely question, and the answer was yes. She was very lonely. Which was one reason she wanted foals. She wanted to care for someone, and in turn, have some kind of company to her name.
"Ah yes. I tend to get very lonely.. Which is why your company is so great to have.. But it would be great to have either way.''
She said, winking a bit.
She felt his wing travel along her neck and chin, and she closed her eyes, enjoying the gesture.

"Ah, that is a most intelligent decision, Chica. Passion is a delightful thing, but there are other important aspects involved in the raising of children, such as some sort of agreement as to how the children should be raised. It was my misfortune that the mother of my first set of children and I had disagreements on the terms of parenthood, but my more recent consort and I were able to come to a most enjoyable agreement, resulting in a very pleasant environment for our two children." If he did say so himself.
As a matter of fact, Guilian was very fond of all his children; those that knew his habits and reputation might be surprised at that fact, but he was always a very devoted and involved father, even after his children reached adulthood.
Though that was hardly a concern at the moment.
Her surprise at the existance of all his children made the stallion smile, though, a smile that turned into a flat-out chuckle at her comments first about variety, then about his company. "Either way, eh Chica? And what does that little remark mean, if I may be so bold?" Allowing his wing to continue, he traced it down her nack along her maneline, then over to her shoulders where he ran it lightly over the muscles. She had very handsome flanks, bruised or not.

She was being bold now. Oh so very bold.
''I mean.. That I would have foals with you as well. I prefer variety, but I know, that to mother your foals..."
She stopped. She was possibly being too bold, and would turn him off, but hopefully, he wouldnt get too upset with her boldness.
''I think you to be the most excellent stallion in the making. I would love to have foals with you if you would so allow.''
She said, looking at the ground.
Oh sure, she could act as if she was bold.. But her eyes looked down at the ground.
She couldnt meet his eyes as she made too bold a request.

...Well, that was different. Guilian had been propositioned before, had matehood proposed before, but he couldn't recall ever being asked specifically to father a mare's foals. That was a new one.
Though he to admit it was endearing, especially with the backhanded compliment and downcast eyes that followed. "An excellant stallion in the making, eh? A pity that I can't be an excellant stallion at the moment, for that would make things all the more proper, don't you think?"
Chuckling, Guilian used his other wing to, once again, tilt up Marahute's chin. "First lesson of proper propositioning technique is to always keep eye contact, Chica. Even if it's only out of the corner of your eye, you never want to break that contact, lest your target think you're ashamed or not serious. So, how about you try this again, Chica...or are you ashamed, or not serious?"
He couldn't hide the sparkle in his eyes as he looked at her, a combination of interest and amusement at the entire situation evident therein.

She looked him straight in the eyes this time. Confident, possibly too bold for him.
'' I am most serious Guilian. I am absolutely serious.''
She looked at him, making sure to keep eye contact.
"Please dont think me too bold.''
She answered, wishing she had kept eye contact before.
She swished her tail to rid herself of the fly that was trying to reside upon her, but she turned her head again to the stallion.
''Ive never been so bold before.. That says something.''
She said smiling a little.

Such delightful directness, coming so soon after seeming timidity; if nothing else, she was an avid student. It made him wonder how avid a student she could be in other things...
Smiling rather smugly, Guilian reached out to stroke the mare's cheek, his voice low when he finally replied. "Bravo, Chica; that's the way to ensure seriousness of intent is conveyed. Such a good student you are; such astuteness should be rewarded, don't you think so?"
Drawing back his wing, Guilian stepped forward so that he and Marahute were almost nose to nose, leaning close to gently nuzzle her cheek. This time though, it was a calculated gesture, evident as the stallion lipped at her mane. "Conception is a complex thing, Chica; one can't have any way of making sure that things work out. But one thing that I CAN assure you, Chica, is that I am at least willing to try."

She felt better about being confident about it. She.. liked this feeling of overcoming her timidity and her fear.
Did he just agree to accept her as a mate? Not a lifemate, of course not.. but a mate?
She looked at him, and felt like asking, but she didnt want to ruin the mood he had set for her. He had made her ask, then he had awarded her with a nuzzle to the cheek and he even lipped at her mane.
Should she return the gestures? Surely she must, because she wanted to so badly.
"Guilian.. Does that mean..''
Even she had a hard time saying it after asking such a bold question.
Bold questions apparently had bold answers.
Looking at his red loveliness, she smiled, taking her own golden muzzle and nuzzling his cheek, down to his flank, where she gently bit.

He was amused. Amused, and very much entranced, and the way that Marahute was handling the whole situation. First timid, then bold, then uncertain, then confident, it was like looking at a mare through a kaleiscope. That had promise. Especially when uncertainty was followed by things like lovebites.
Chuckling, Guilian allowed Marahute her little explorations for a moment, then leaned over to nuzzle her cheek with his. And when he next spoke, it was in a murmur that bordered on husky, his breath light again her ear. "What that means, Chica, is that perhaps it is time for us to find a place of a bit more privacy, yes? This field is lovely, but there is such a thing as too much exhibitionism." After all, one could see for miles on the ground alone, and that didn't include the sky!

At the mention of privacy, she looked around. She had a little wooded shelter a little bit away. It usually kept her from getting wet in the rain.
She assumed it could work. It had bent over trees, that made and arch, and her two legger had tied them together, in all words making her a home.
She looked back at Guilian and smiled.
"I have a place.. A little bit away, not far. Its my home away from the open-ness.''
She said, shivering at the thought of what would most definately come to play there.
This was her first time ever doing anything like this, but mother had spoke of it before. How she had dreaded that talk from mother..
But now she thanked mother and looked back at the stallion in all his glory.
''Would that work?"
Would you ever be interested in breeding them once? If not, thats fine, moreso curious]]

"I think that sounds delightful, Chica, so if you'd be so kind as to accompany me..." Giving the mare a smile, Guilian stepped up beside her, gently draping a wing over her back and holding her against his side before stepping away and starting to lead her towards the trees...

Moments later..
Marahute looked at the red stallion, whom had basically just shown her the world. She couldnt help but smile. After all, who better to be in the company with than Guilian?
She looked at his wings folded so neatly to his back as they walked back out of the trees and back to the little field.
'' That was an experience."
She said, offering a grin and then looking at him in his black eyes with her oh so brown ones.
Her mane was somewhat stuck to her neck, and she shook her head, hoping to pry it loose and make it pretty again.
How had Guilian kept his mane from getting all tangled?
"I hope I wasnt too forward today.. And I hope I wasnt terrible with my inexperience either. But thank you."
She seemed to be saying thank you alot. Well.. She had just had some time with Guilian, of course she was going to say thanks.

"Indeed it was, Chica, and I hope that it was a positive one for that." As the two Soquili walked back out into the bright sunshine of the field, Guilian was almost completely subsumed in an air of relaxed contentment. He was pleased, and hopefully she was as well.
Though he had to chuckle as she, once again, went with the demure, timid thing. "Believe me Chica, neither was the case. I have found this afternoon most enjoyable, and can only hope that your first forays into the realm of physical pleasure have been enjoyable. Perhaps now you will be able to get those kids you so desire, if not from me, then from another."
After all, the first step was often the hardest.

She smiled, looking back up at him. She was happy, and indeed her first experiences in the realm of anything sexual had been amazing.
Maybe he was right. Maybe since she had just taken such a large stride in such departments, maybe it would be easier to have those foals that she dreamed of.
She would have to talk to Cerek. After all.. Cerek was her only friend, and he had said he'd give her foals.
Well now she was going to take him up on that. She wanted those foals, and if Guilian couldnt father them, then Cerek was just as good. In fact, she felt a pang for Cerek that was close to the pang Guilian had made her feel.
"Ah yes. It was delightful. Definately an experience I'll never ever forget.''

Chuckling, Guilian leaned over to pat Marahute on the cheek. "Glad to hear it, Chica. Now, should you actually find yourself WITH foal, be certain that I would do my part by them, provided you let me know, yes? And you remember to give my best wishes to your mother."
With that, Guilian drew back his wing and ran it through his mane, fluffing the curls into a more airy arrangement. "Now then. Would you like any more company this afternoon, or is there something else you had intended to do?"
