Hey Darkrai! I may not be as big a fan of armors as you but I like them. My avatar is not currently wearing one cuz I haven't figured which could work well with my look. If you have a suggestion, I'll be glad to read it. 3nodding
BTW, if you like to talk about armor type items that we have here on Gaia, we have a thread for that in the "tavern". It's called the "Avatar Discussion" thread. You could post yer suggestions for my armor look there, ok? Thanx!
If there are any other questions, us mods are always available. Well, we usually are anyway, he-he. sweatdrop

@ hod, if you read about how they designed gundams. theres alot to do with armors such as japanese for the pieces around their waist, or the swords they use. much of them reflect the country they represent. i'm currently trying to get items to match my sig ^.^
@hypno, do you guys mind if i start a thread just for armors in the musem? sweatdrop

I'm not so much into armor right now... but I will be later on.
Hopefully. crying
Anyways, I hate to interrupt the flow of talking about armor. In fact, I deeply apologize. *bows pitifully* But... I kind of wanted to introduce myself because I got this sort of warning PM when I got accepted to this guild that I better participate or... or... *gulp*. And I already started without introducing myself. Which I thought was rude on my behalf. gonk
Anywho, I'm Alina. biggrin I'm obviously into Medieval/Renaissance/ancient history in general along with Fantasy and Anime (though Scifi is also included into the mix). I'm sort of inexperienced with a lot of what I'm interested in, though, so I'd like to know more. But besides that, I'd also like to express my opinion and share what I feel and think as a reader and writer. Yes, I am another one, fellow scribes! Aren't we just numerous? XD
Also, I'm one of those people who thinks that he/she has their entire life ahead of them to follow their dreams. But at the same time, I still want to swallow up as much as I can to eventually become that Fantasy writer that makes a difference. ^^ Problem is, I'm still not even into college yet... but at least I'm writing a 3000 worded paper on the relationship between large ancient European civilizations and the realm of Fantasy. sweatdrop
Eh. But I'm also one of those people who wants to know everything about the subject he/she loves. I want to know everything about ancient cultures as well as about the realms of our imagination. I want to know all about the different belief systems and sets of armor. Hence the wishing to know more about armor.
O_O I also like to apologize a lot. Such as at this moment. crying Sorry I wrote so much. I kind of like talking/writing about myself.
But yay! biggrin This is a pretty freaking awesome guild.
And now back to discussing armor.

It's great to see someone posting a good amount of what they're interested in. ^_^'
It's better than "hi, I'm so-and-so and I joined because I thought it looked good" and nothing else in my opinion.
I also like to know everything about the subjects I'm interested in. That's why I create topics that go into a great amount of detail that end up very philosophical and analytical.

Hiya! I really think this was bad timing for me to write here, cause I'm really bad at describing myself, but anyways... My name is Martin, but i guess it's easier to just call me Marza... (like that one better too :3 ) Needless to say that I love everything that has to do with fantasy, science fiction etc. especially dragons. My greatest wish in the world (besides being able to fly) is to have a dragon as a pet =D I have three small dragon statues in my room, and one big that sits on a tub with water that makes steam biggrin Pic: My dragon biggrin More to say about me... I play piano, going at a music high school where I have piano as main instrument and guitar + song as secondary instruments... Can't come up with anything more right now, but I have written some stuff at my profile page if anyone wanna see razz Yays, I actually wrote more than one sentence ^^

Nice to see two new members posting! If new members require anything or just want the attention from us mods, there is a thread to do it in and it's called "the members noticeboard". 3nodding
I agree with Mel, it's very cool when members post more than a sentence worth of anything. Although this is not a thread for introductions (the official one is at "The Village" sub-forum), it's also a good place for knowing what our members are into.
I don't have much time right now so I'm gonna check back tomorrow. mrgreen
BTW, If any of you are interested in getting rewarded for yer activity, you should check the fantasy conference sub-forum, I have a fantasy user name thread and if you post why you chose yer user name there, you could win prizes for being as active as possible. wink

Hi there
Just joined, though I am almost certainly NOT a role-player, I know quite a bit about fantasy and my current projects lie within that arena. Mostly I play with the idea of mythology, and create my own.
If anyone knows any interesting mythological stories, and has them in full, I would be interested in reading them so I can adapt them into my current story. I'm mostly interested in the Apollo and Daphne myth, and anything situated around war.
Feel free to PM me any time,
Nyxix.

-Bows her head briefly and smirks- I am Jeshi and I actually have found myself quite curious, if you will, about the middle ages/ Renaissance periods or to sum it all up the Medieval times. Eventually I hope to douse myself in Archery, Swordsmanship and even Blacksmithing. I actually want to try horseback archery, although it seems dangerous and I know from experience I have terrible balance, those are things I can improve, and would be tickled pink to try it. If any of you hold knowledge to any of these I would love to have an in-depth conversation with you. For those subjects hold much interest to me. Something else that has peeked my interest was cooking in the 'olden' times, I have been looking into that, but haven't found many sides that look official.
What drew my attention into this guild was that I felt it was not strictly about roleplay, but the Medieval genre/era in whole. I know I will definitely do some art to post in the art thread, as well as take part in random discussions to better my knowledge.
Apart from my interests in the past you will find I am a fun-loving, sometimes overly playful person who loves animals, roleplaying, reading (mainly about pirates/sea adventures/fantasy/history-fantasy), art in general and many other things xD Just strike up a conversation with me and I am sure we will find at least one thing in common. Oh and if you know any good books please share I am always looking for a good read.
That is all I can think of for now ^_^; so feel free to talk to me, I don't bite much. :3

Um, hi. So I'm one of the new ones. Yus. Nice to meet you.
First time I've ever joined a Guild even though Gaia is old news to me. Haha. Thought I'd join since, well, this is a guild for fantasy, which I simply adore. History is also another interest of mine, though I prefer older history to more recent one, recent being the last hundred years. That this guild isn't only for role-playing is another plus since I don't like RPs much - except as a computer game.
I don't know how active I will be. I prefer to observe rather than state my opinion. I will try my best to say at least something every now and then, however. I think I will be most active at the Writer's Circle, being a writer myself. Expect to see me there.
Can't think of anything else to say. I'm rather surprised I've managed to say this much at all. Well, good day to you. Or morning. Evening. Whatever.

Good Day,
Ekklesiast, a humble studiosus theologiae (Augsburgian confession) at your service.
One of my greatest passions ist history, specially the times of late medival, renaissance and early baroque. As a lover of early and classical music, these epoches are not only interesting to me in a historycal point of view. I am also fascinatet about clothing and architecture.
At the moment I am finishing a work in church history (ca. 96,000 signs) about the so called "2nd Reformation" in Hesse at the beginning of 17th century: Landgrave Moritz forced his shire, wich was already lutheran since 1524, into Calvinism.
I think, I will look in the museum from time to time. I am not interrested in armors, but - I said it already - in clothing.
btw, I am actually "questing" for an courted ruff, to my avatar can look like a theologican and minister of 16th/ 17th century (and today still in Hamburg).
