"I'm sure your mother is very wise...and I'm sure she knows that while it's important to take care of others, it's also important to take care of yourself," She replied, taking a few light, casual steps around him. Life had a balance...if you devoted yourself to only one thing you would miss out. That was just how things worked.
"Well! You certainly aren't old...I don't see any wrinkles," she teased good naturedly, giving him a long look over, "And you definately don't seem like a git..." She lowed her head slightly, taking a small bit of his tail in her mouth and giving it a gentle tug before releasing and walking a bit over to the side as if she hadn't done anything at all, "Silly...? Perhaps, but a little silliness only made the world brighter, I would think." Just like the smile she was giving.

“She’s very wise,” he said quietly as his mind drifted over the thoughts in his mind. She was a very wise mare, and she wasn’t really that old. In fact, she was probably still young by Soquili standards. For that simple reason, he was sure that he could leave and it wouldn’t be a problem. He smiled and glanced back towards her, flickering his tail behind him. “and she’s also very understanding.”
“Hey!” he yelped slightly, sidestepping a little bit as she pulled his tail. He laughed, regardless, leaning over to n** slightly at her mane, giving it a soft and playful little tug. He chuckled as he did so, quirking a brow. “No, I don’t think a little silliness ever hurt anyone at all.”

She giggled, ducking her head as he reached out but not fast enough for evasion. He managed to snag her bangs, which lifted them from her eyes. A bright, open smile still visible from her laugh she blinked her eyes once before hooding them coyly under her lashes. "And if it did," she murmured quietly, not needing to raise her voice since he was close anyway, "it was well worth it, I'm sure."

He coughed softly and dropped the long, pink-toned bangs in a hurry. The glance from her eyes would have been enough to make him blush violently had he been human, but as a horse, it just made him glance away shyly. He certainly wouldn’t be able to meet her eyes, he just didn’t happen to be that brave. He did, however, manage to find a smirk to offer her, “I’m sure it’s always worth it.” Well, that was a step up from his flustered attitude, right? He seemed to learn fast.
“I am afraid, dear Esha, that if I’m going to be leaving with you, I must at least go speak to my mother. I’m sure she’ll not mind my leaving, but if I didn’t speak with her first, she might worry herself to death,” or at least he thought she would, sometimes his mother was a little unpredictable, especially since Jean-Claude came into the picture. However, that was a little piece of information he was sure Esha didn’t quite need. “If you wait here, I’ll be back soon?” He took half a step towards the forest line, waiting to see what she said.

"Of course," Esha murmured empathetically, nodding her head slightly. Couldn't rightly have him leaving his family without so much as a word. Family always deserved better then that...even if they didn't always get it. Besides, it was just as much a benefit to him as it was to his mother. She turned half away from him, looking out as the blaring sun continued to shine down upon the two of them, exposed upon the wide grassy slopes. "I'll be here...I don't move on quite that fast, you know," she said lightheartedly.

He chuckled lightheartedly at her words, shaking his head as he began to move off towards the forest. "I didn't figure that you were," he said with a little smirk on his maw, then began to saunter off into the distance where the field met the tree line. What was he going to to tell his mother. She was certainly probably going to wonder what kind of female it was that suddenly made her son decide to drop everything and get on the move. He knew she wouldn't stop him, but he did know that she was going to ask him a hundred questions before he ever got back out of the forest. Well, maybe Jean-Claude was near and he could occupy her - he did that whenever Khilan was in need of a rescue.
He glanced back one last time at the pink dot lingering near the waterhole before he disappeared into the tree line, blending in with its shadowy depths.
