Well, Xanul had asked his mother what Bob was, but she had been puzzled as to what his new pet was. Ayako wasn't exactly sure about Saix's powers, she hadn't been bothered to ask him really. Xanul knew a little about the Organization from Xianthe, but she had never mentioned portals as well.
"Whaa?" Xanul's eyes peered up at Hemi. "I know about daddy's powers, but why? What happens?" Xianthe had said Saix was the Luna Diviner, which Xanul knew had something to do with the moon. But why? Why did it bother everyone else?

sweatdrop Hemi really wanted to talk to Ayako first before spilling the beans as it were. What if his sister had a certain way she wanted to tell her kits. "eh... hey! Why don't we see if you can do any wizard magic? Or figure out your portals & see if you can see Bob again."
Yes... that sounded interesting. "How did he show up before? Did you think about wanting to go somewhere?" That was often the way with burgeoning wizard powers. A childish want, extreme emotions, things like that. There was no reason to think other powers were not surfaced similarly. Of course his healing had just come naturally... Hemi wished he had paid more attention to cousin Bryna's powers specifically as she grew up. But then... she had her egg floating, hadn't she? And that was her daddy's power, not Orgy portals. Could Bryna make a portal. O_O Hemi hoped not. He could just imagine his cousin's 'drops from above' happening through a randomly made portal. Then his tails started to wag, realizing that it could also be fun.

Immediately, Xanul perked up, tails wagging, the subject about moons forgotten for now. "I'm not sure though." He took out his wand and stared at it for a moment. "I haven't really done anything with it." To tell the truth, he had been out adventuring in the day and returning at night.
"Welll, I wanted to see daddy." Xanul pondered as he used a paw to sweep a dark lock out of his eyes. "Then he just appeared. And took me near where daddy's house was."

"Well I'm no expert about portals... but maybe you should try wanting to go somewhere again. See if it works another time." Then he looked at the wand. "Dad or I can teach you how to use that. Maybe even Lily, if we can pry your aunt from Ed sometime." Hemi gave a huge grin, his baby blues almost disappearing as they crinkled up. "Wizards can actually use some magic without a wand, but it's .... not as focused. or uh... reliable. Anything could happen."

Xanul grinned. Well, he should certainly try that! Perhaps the next time he wanted to see Daddy, or even anyone else! "Grandpa?" The kit's ears perked up and tails wagged. And Aunt Lily too? It would be so awesome to see some of his family. 'Maybe we could find them?" He suggested. Sure, Ayako could teach them some magic, but she had been rather worried these days. Plus, he did always go out adventuring during the day.
"Mmm?" The kit's eyes widened. "Why not?"

"Well yeah! sure we could find them. Dad at least. Might be good to give Lily & Ed some time though." He really did not want to go into what his sister and her now grown mate were up to. Really.
"Huh? Why not? You mean why not as focused?"

"So we can go see granddad?" Xanul's eyes sparkled happily. Ooh, that would be so much fun! If only Xelon and Swax were here too!
"Mmhmm." The kit nodded fervently. Why was the wand so important anyway?

"Of course!" A fleeting thought.... maybe it would be better to call & ask Remus to come here. Hemi didn't want to interrupt his parents any more than he wanted to interrupt his sister & her mate. But first... about the wand.
"Well... first off know I'm probably not the best teacher for this. Dad can explain it better. But basically the wand serves as a channeler & amplifier while having magic of its own too. Most wizards can cast some magic without them... usually seen in kits like you as random things often going with high emotions. Lily says MauCho could apparate almost right away after they were born." Which personally Hemi found both frightening & impressive. He only just could apparate with someone else in tow, and then he preferred the other to be smaller than he was.
"With a wand you can cast spells by name and direct them. Plus since your wand is attuned to you, it enhances your power. So it's win-win."
((so pulling that out of my ---- ^_^))

It would be better if Remus came; for Xanul didn't like Apparating much. The kit disliked the feeling he got when he was first taken along by his mother by Side-Along Apparation, and ever since then, he had refused to have anything to do with Apparating. Unless it was something urgent, of course.
"Ooh." Xanul raised an eyebrow. He might not like Apparating, but he did find Aunt Mau Cho impressive. "Mommy's quite good too, but I don't really see her cast much spells." Ayako was mostly busy with the kits, or maybe reading. "Cool!" Tails wagged happily. It was interesting that a wand helped a wizard, and he couldn't wait to learn how to use it.

Hemi blinked. "Really? Ayako doesn't use her magic much?" The wizard sat on his rear in surprise. It was hard to imagine not using magic, even with his wizard magic not as strong as some of his siblings.
There was a soft pop and an older kitsu with residual scars showing through fur the same shade as Hemi's with banded ears & tails wearing a black robe & scarf matching that of his son apparated into the library. "Oh. My apologies if I am interrupting something. I merely wanted to change out reading materials."
"Dad! We were hoping you'd show up!" Remus Lupin arched a brow curiously and let his gaze fall upon his grandkit. "Oh?"

There was a slightly sheepish grin on the kit's face. "Maybe it's because I go out on adventures. I don't see her use magic, but maybe she does when I'm away."
Dad? Xanul's curious eyes flitted from his uncle to the other kitsu. Which meant...this kitsu was his granddaddy! With a happy squeal, the kit launched himself at Remus. "Granddaddy!" He exclaimed with a wide grin.

Hmmm... maybe that was it. Hemi decided he would really have to have a talk with his sister about her kits. Particularly, what role she would like him to play in their upbringing. He certainly was not against having a paw in it... but he did not want to accidentally undermine her authority or anything else Ayako was teaching them. The idea was shelved for the time being as Hemi laughed, hearing his father's startled 'umph!' at the launched kit's impact.
Remus staggered only a step. Then he too was chortling, sitting on his haunches to 'hug' his grandkit to him. "And a very happy hello to you too." The wizard was beaming proudly. Yes... he could have wished a happier pairing for his daughter but the kits... the kits were a joy regardless. Besides, Remus still had hope for their relationship. After all things were working well for Nokomis and Xigbar, were they not? And he was a Nobody of the same Organization. So there was hope. "Xanul, am I right? Ah my dear grandson this is a delight." He was every bit the happy grandparent, dark eyes kind & loving, banded tails wagging happily across the library floor. Grandkits... more to the dream he would never have dreamt for himself. Looking on, Hemi could only beam in his loving way full of happiness.

Well, Ayako would gladly let her siblings, well maybe with some exceptions, but definetely Hemi of course, help her teach them. It was hard, after all, to control them, especially little Xanul, from prancing out of the door, proclaiming that he wanted to go on adventures.
What mattered, was that the kits were happy, was it not? And Xanul was happy, no, thrilled to have Saix as a father. He loved the grumpy blue-haired kitsu, and no one could change his perspective. "Mmm?" The kit's eyes widened, his mouth forming an 'o'. "How didja know? I could be Xelon!" Xanul grinned, nuzzling his grandfather happily.

"And what kind of grandfather would I be if I didn't at least pay a little attention to what my grandkits looked like? Even if I do not see you near as often as I would like." It was a pleasant sigh that came from the wizard as he returned Xanul's nuzzle lovingly. Hemi watched them with a big grin, tails thumping upon the floor. "So... dare I ask if there was a reason you were hoping I would show up?" He posed the question to the kit, suspecting by the silence & grin of his youngest that Hemi was not intending to field the question.

Xanul grinned happily. "Oh well, you'll see Swax and Xelon another day! We'll see you together the next time!" That he would, for Xanul was good in persuading people.
"Uhh, lessee. We were talking about mommy's wings, the moon...and yeah! Wands!" Xanul's eyes lit up, dark tails waving. "Wands and magic. I need to learn more about them."
